Nothing special
There was nothing catastrophically wrong with the hotel. For the internet-booked price, I would recommend it. The lifts were a little bit of a pain in that you had to use your room key card to operate them. There was only one plug socket available, so I had to stretch my computer cable all the way across the room. The lamps and other electrical appliances were hard-wired and could not be used. Breakfast was continental only, which is acceptable for a day or two, but after that you'll be wanting something more substantial.<br... more
Great place to stay in Glasgow!
We stayed only one night but would certainly stay again and for longer. The room we had was quiet, clean, modern, comfortable and large. The hotel location is excellent - close to shopping, theatre, movies, sight-seeing, train and bus stations - perfect for visitors to Glasgow. We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
great value holiday inn express theatreland glasgow
Stayed here for 2 nights, great value for money, very central and staff very friendly and helpful. Only snag was staying at the back of the hotel there was alot of noise from a generator.
Great hotel for low price
Stayed here for a conference (at the beginning of Sept.) so the hotel was booked through the symposium organizers. For the price I paid it was a good deal (78 GBP - about 10GBP less than the usual weekday price). Staff was friendly, courteous, and able to direct me to good places to eat and find online service. The hotel is close to the shopping areas of Sauciehall and Buchanan Sts., and was within walking distance of the downtown area. The room while on the small side was clean with two twin beds, a desk area, and TV. They have a small bar... more
Good value and good location
I often stay at this hotel on business, but would happily recommend it for a city break.. its well located and very clean. The staff are helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. You have a continental breakfast included which is ok and there is a bar by the reception should you wish to have a relaxing drink after a busy day out in Glasgow. It doesn't have a carpark, but there is an NCP across the road which isn't too expensive., I usually pay around £2 a night and it appears safe enough.
Nice Clean hotel, helpful staff and great location - highly recommended
This hotel is one I have stayed at on several occasions and cannot recommend it highly enough - superb location excellent helpful staff and nice clean rooms. Never go anywhere else when I am in Glasgow
Great Value Good Hotel
Well i am always staying at holiday inn express's and as for the location this is a definite winner ! Everything is as you would expect for a holiday inn express. my only one wee tiny moan was the size of breakfast room for the size of hotel> It alway seemed busy and we did once take our breakfast to our room as there was nowere else to sit. But over all good hotel Great leisure saver price. and nice staff Will come back again
Great Budget Hotel
We wanted somewhere close to the centre of things and at £59 a night this hotel was a great bargain. It's exactly what it says on the tin, cheap, clean and handy. The door staff and housekeeping staff were very helpful. The room was a bit noisy during the day but the double glazing worked very well. We'd definately stay here again
Convenient hotel & clean
Have just returned from staying for 3 nights at Holiday Inn Express. The room was quite small as there were 2 adults and 1 child sharing - a double bed and a double sofa bed but apart from that the hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast was adequate and was always were able to get a table without waiting. The hotel is well situated for shopping and is about 10/15 walk from Central Station. It is quite basic but as I paid £59 per night for the room and breakfast for 3 it is hard to complain! A good base for a short break and I would definately... more
