Hi, we have just arrived back from 2 fantastic weeks at Las Floritas. Do not worry or freak out by any other previous reviews, there is nothing to worry about it is Immaculate, quiet and defiantly NO-COCKROACHES in the apartments!!. We arrived very worried by what I had previously read !!! We were on the ground floor (biggest patio’s) 31-2 it was spotless sheets perfect, toaster, kettle, cooker, and plate’s cups/saucers, bowls plenty of kitchen utensils. There is a shower & BATH, toilet, sink and bidet in the bathrooms.
There is a double wardrobe and 2 single beds, and a dresser with huge mirror in the bedroom, and in the dining room there is a large chair and a large sofa the sofa doubles as a bed, and underneath there is a smaller pullout bed for kids. There is also the phone and a dining table with 4 chairs, sideboard with TV on top, 1 Euro per hour for TV and there is Sky1 and C beebs - rest Spanish channels. All immaculate. On the patio there is a stand for your wet swim wear and a table with 2 chairs. It was lovely. The rep for the hotel and Ore Negro next door was Mark; he was great, friendly and very helpful (he does very well in the cabaret night FLASH.
The security guard is very helpful and keeps any noise down. We had no trouble from kids/teens at all the pool is amazing the pictures do no justice. There are 2 shallow sections, the it goes from about 1 metre to over my head, and it is thinner round the sides but good for swimming. The Chinese just out of the apartment is amazing, the whisky jar is great too, esp. the Fat Frog cocktails yum. There is ***** cats night club supposedly a brothel, but I saw no one at all go in or come out in the 2 weeks I was there so nothing at all to worry about there.
The Italian at the end is lovely. Do not change your Euro cheques in the hotel she charges 6Euros per cheque !!, if you turn left out of the hotel you will pass the shops, Ore Negro hotel, More shops and a place selling other excursions in there they change Euro cheques too for 2 percent so 1 Euro per 50 Euro cheque. The pub The Tavern pub is on this clock too(most excursions from here) and keep going the next block of shops there is a car rental place that does Euro cheques for 1 percent so 50cents for a 50 Euro cheque !!
If you need a Taxi to the markets beach ect, turn right out of the hotel take the next road on your right and at one of the crossings cross over, pass the Columbus hotel on your left and take the next left with Spar on the corner and the taxi rank is there. It is about 3 Euros to the beach in Las Americas, and about 5 to Los Cristianos market (sun) and the same again to Torviscas market (Thur) Torviscas market is the better as you can stop and sit at a bar for a drink when its hot where as at Los Cristianos you would have to come right out of the market. The best beach was Torviscas as it was not as choppy as Las Americas.
On to the trips, Aqua Park is amazing loads of slides for the kids. There is an amazing Dolphin show too; if you go to the Dolphin reception you can pay 50 Euros to train a dolphin!! It’s amazing you also get 3 fab photos of your experience, you go in before everyone else usually in a 15 group, and you’re all shown how to train the dolphins while you’re sat with them, stroking them!! You do a few tricks with them and get to give them a KISS!! (Fishy) your then taken individually to pose with your dolphin for your pictures (in with the price) you cuddle it an in another your kissing it!!
Your experience is about an hour long - it is now outlawed in the canaries to swim with dolphins, so this is the nearest you will get!! And you’re seated on the front rows afterwards to watch the show which is also amazing. The Medieval night is fantastic, you eat chicken and garlic baked potato with your hands while cheering on your Knight!! Brilliant show, and afterwards the Drifters (the real ones too!!) sing for you amazing. The Loro Parque is definitely the best out of the 2 Zoo parks it is huge and immaculate and the animals are very well cared for.
It is double the cost of The Jungle park but much much better, the Jungle park in my opinion is ****, there are a few animals, the walkways are awful, definitely not for anyone who had any mobility problems, the Eagles are chained to rocks for you to get close to (no cages) they looked very sad, the leopards just paced up and down with boredom and it was dirty. Whereas the Loro Parques cages were massive the animals had room to fly, run and play, the looked in fantastic condition and the shows were great - out of the 2 save your money and just go to the Loro Parque, it is well worth it, and the cash you would spend going to the jungle Parque get a tour round Mount Teide and 2 hrs in Puerto de la Cruz.
It is the same price and was great - brill views and Puerto de la Cruz was great for a change in scenery - however do not under any circumstances, let the man with the parrots con you into having your photos done, he tells you he will drop then to your hotel and takes the money into the photo place he stands near to pay for a your receipt has the address stamped on - so you think however it is a con, there will be no photos and when you try to track the address down its not been heard of !!! So don’t do it.
The show Flash is great we did this the last night, and the 1st half is professional acts like the Brazilian bendy boys doing tricks, singers and tap dancers. And the 2nd half is your reps taking off, Grease, Wizard of Oz, Fame, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, and Cabaret ha ha never clapped so much it was fantastic - a good end to the hols.
So like I said a great place to stay great things to go and see, good bars ect...and no trouble, before the looky looky men all over, and the women who want to braid your hair say NO, as in one of my mags Take a break I think, there was a story on a little girl who had a braid done in Tenerife, and her scalp went flaky and some hair fell out after it was taken out and kept falling out the doctors found it was a Tropical decease she caught from one of the women’s nails !!! ugh.

Me and my mate Lysh have just come back from Tenerife and we had the best time of our lives!
After reading some of the review on Las Floritas we weren’t too sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised the security guard wasn’t as bad as everyone made out, the ***** cat club was not as you would imagine we never even knew where it was until our mates told us half way through the holiday. I would recommend staying at Las Floritas to anyone there were lots of families and young groups of people on holiday and we didn't have any problems at all.
The rooms were basic but clean, good facilities on the hotel and veronicas strip was only 5 minutes walk. I wouldn't be put off by any comments you have heard it really was a good place to stay at and convenient to get everywhere.
We made loads good mates too who stayed here so I would definitely recommend it especially for your first holiday!! : )

Apartments were alright. Plenty of room, but if you are located at the front of the building as I was on 3-13 you are located 50 yards off traffic lights. All day and night long the noise from police cars and ambulances when they approach them is terrible as they sound off sirens to get through. I had very little sleep for the time I was there.
Apart from that you are very close to a lot of places to buy food and drink and 10 minutes walk to the sea front. If you have never been before you will be pestered to go in for food at all the cafes.
Food is very reasonable and a great choice, the cheapest for Sunday dinner is at the Aberdeen Steakhouse, at 4 euros and a pint of lager 1 euro until 6 pm. Beware of the days out. Although they are cheap at 8 euros, you will have to put up with a 2-hour sales talk asking you to buy a mattress and pillows etc. before going to your destination. I would pay the full price and miss the sales talk.
I had a pleasant time as the weather was good, so if you go to these apartments make sure you take some good earplugs.

First time in Tenerife and a bit dubious about accommodation, but need not of worried. Apartments were great rooms cleaned everyday except Monday. Pool runs all the way round the complex. Apartments were comfortable with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Some of these apartments are private and there was not a lot of noise from the younger generation. When we go back to Tenerife we would definitely go back here . We had a fantastic fortnight and a visit to Loro Parque /Puerto de la Cruz and Parque las Aquilas (jungle park) /Los Cristianos are both a worth a visit as well as a trip up to see mount Tiede.

We arrived at Las Floritas on Tuesday 15th June 2004 at 11:30pm. On arrival at the apartments there was no one at the reception and we had to wait about for about 10 minutes until the security guard arrived. We where then given our key for our apartment due to this being a self catering holiday I did not expect much from the apartment, but me and my partner where delighted by the standard of the accommodation. There is everything that you would need from a self-catering apartment and it was very clean, the rooms where also then cleaned on a daily basis.
The only thing was being charged everyday for our sunloungers at the pool, as I had never experienced this before.
We did experience the night club next door *****cats, which we later found out to be a brothel, but after realising our mistake on entering we had no problem leaving and you never seen the prostitutes outside so you would never know what it was.
I recommend going to Christie O’Connor’s Irish Bar; the 2 singers there where very good and had good banter, I would also recommend the restaurant The Greek Corner the food and the staff where excellent.
Overall I was impressed with the apartments but not with Tenerife I just don’t think there is that much to do, the dolphin show at the Aquapark was amazing but the actual park wasn’t up to very much. I do recommend going up in the hot air balloon, for 12euros it was well worth the view and to cool down. Lora Parq Zoo is good as well with lots to keep kids occupied and a bobsleigh which was good fun and only 2euros.
I would definitely recommend Las Floritas Apartments to any one on a self-catering basis who is going to Las Americas

When we arrived in Tenerife we notice how clean the airport was and how clean the whole place was. Don’t be put off when you are on your transfer from the airport, as it looks extremely barren. We arrived at Las Floritas hotel, absolutely dreading it to be honest because we had read bad reviews but it was absolutely perfect for our needs.
There were five of us sharing an apartment and there was probably just enough room, bearing in mind there was one child and four adults. The reception staff were all very friendly and we couldn’t fault them at all. The swimming pool was beautiful and cleaned without fail every single morning. Las Americas is a beautiful place and not just for the young free and single, it has something for everybody. Take plenty of money though because the shops are amazing with lots of nice designer gear!!
We ate out every night and we really enjoyed the food. We went to Tiviscus and had fish, we went to Los Christianos and had fish, and we went to the Aberdeen Steak houses which was extremely cheap and very tasty and also very pleasant staff. The Chinese restaurant next to Las Floritas hotel is amazing best Chinese food I have ever eaten.
I wouldn’t advise going to the 'Aquapark' as I believe it is a bit of a rip off, as you have to pay for many things when you get in there, but I have heard that the Sky park is better value for money. My family and I went on the 'Muscat catamaran' for dolphin and Whale watching which was the most awe inspiring experience I have ever had, it felt as though I was in paradise, and the staff on the boat were great, even looking after me when I got sea sick!! For about €45 each you get your food and drink included in the 5 hour journey or you can go on a 3 hour journey, I highly recommend it.
So all in all a very successful holiday, I will definitely return to Tenerife and do it all over again.

Las Floritas is an excellent destination for families. Accommodation good, service excellent all round, pool cleaned every day, linen every other day. Couldn’t fault Las Floritas at all. No disturbances from the club next door. If you have a family would suggest not staying on the main road, as it is a bit noisy. All round thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we are considering returning next year.

I was looking up reviews on Las Floritas before me and my 5 friends went to Las Floritas Tenerife, and we thought the Place would be a dump from the reviews, but don’t be put off. It’s really good. the staff are very friendly, in terms of location it’s right in the middle of everything. The Chinese Restaurant Next Door is very nice, would recommend going there and The "Nightclub" ***** Cats is a few doors up and is no bother at all. We saw 1 Hooker the whole week we were there which is good I think compared to what other people have posted.
The Room was a little small for 6 people, 2 had to sleep in the living room. But it was fine for what we needed it for. There was a cooker with 2 rings, a toaster, fridge freezer, TV, Balcony, Safe (need to get the PIN from reception). The Pool was nice but very cold and it hadn’t been cleaned after the brief sand storm we had on the last day. There is many nice places to eat out in Playas Das America’s I would recommend: Michelangelo’s, Little Italy and The Chinese Next Door.
The Food and Drinks are REALLY cheap. it was 1.40 ear’s for a litre of San Miguel which was handy for drinking before we went out as the Bars/Clubs drinks were REALLY expensive, but if you go in with a rep they will get you 2 4 1, but still at a high price of about 6-7.50 euros for a bottle of Bud/Smirnoff Ice.
The Netto that was just around the corner was also dead cheap and very useful. We went This February and the Weather was very nice, nearly into the 30's every day not quite though. When we went we started off at a little bar called the ROYAL OAK, the staff are very friendly and its a nice place for a cheap drink and the measures are very generous :)
Then after that the following bars were open. we were quite surprised because allot of the places that we had read about were closed. But the ones that were open were; Yates, Wetherspoons, O’Neill’s, Jumping Jacks, Bobby’s, Busby’s. This was fine Yates is a real good laugh although the DJ gets a bit annoying with the Same Material every night. Nether the less it was all very good. Would recommend the Las Floritas, it is great for what we needed it for (i.e. Sleeping).

After enduring a 4 hour flight and a short wait in baggage claim, we were shown onto a coach. As soon as we hit the outside air, this was 22.00 hours.
The rep said it was a bit cool at the moment. it was hot.
Arriving at Las Floritas, we were greeted by a security guard named Juan, given a key and off we went.
The apartment was airy, it was on the ground floor. First thing we did was to open the patio doors.
What a noisy set of patio doors. The only complaint we have was that being on the ground floor was good to get everywhwere. but everyone was so nosy when you sat out onto then patio.
All in all a great holiday and we are returning August 2004

I went to Tenerife with my Mum, it was my 1st visit to the island, Mum had been a few times before and it was her 2nd time at Las Floritas. When we got off the coach my 1st impressions were of a " is this it? " but once down the steps and past reception I couldn’t believe it, it was really nice, the river like pool went round the whole of the complex.
Mum and I stayed in apartment 27-4 which looked down onto the pool which was lovely. The apartment itself was nice, clean and had everything you needed for a self catering holiday, the reception staff were friendly and the cleaners came in daily.
Deciding where to eat was not a hard task we ate at The Tavern a lot, situated just a short stroll from Las Floritas, the staff there are extremely friendly and the meals were superb. On the 2nd night we went down to The Wigan Pier which is another brilliant place to go for meals and for entertainment, Chrystal Starr, the infamous drag artist, was excellent, extremely funny, as long as you don’t mind very course humour.
Shopping at Las Christianos was good, Mum and I spotted trips out to watch whales and dolphins, cost was 15 euros each and I must say it was well worth it, the dolphins were so close to the boat we were on and with the fabulous weather as well it made the day memorable for a very long time. We took a trip to Loro Parque, the journey was long but once there it was excellent, definitely worth a visit for anyone going to Tenerife.
The ***** cats club did not cause a problem at all, you wouldn’t know it was there till you walked past it. The beaches were fabulous lots of places to just sit and chill out. All in all we had a fabulous time, I would love to go again.
