We had a great time staying at the Las Floritas Apartments. I admit that it was quite lively but the noise seemed to die down by midnight and the pool area was free from overhung party goers most of the morning.
Lovely pool some quiet areas where you can escape the noise and relax in the sun, sun beds cost 1 euro but you are welcome to lay beach towels on the side of the pool for free.
Some interesting creatures the odd cockroach and gekko visit but regular cleaning nonetheless. Its not Buckingham Palace but somewhere to rest and relax. I worried about the electrics (toaster far too close to the kitchen sink etc).
If you take young kids try to be back in before 10.30pm to avoid the strip club trying to attract your custom and the occasional prostitute although is probably all over as apposed to the one appartment.
We would probably stay there again as it is very local to beach, clubs and waling distance to Siam Park. I also recommend Michelangelo's Restaurant around the corner, lovely food and service!

on arrival the reviews id read all came to life...it was noisey... young people sat around pool area drinking..next day seemed a little better the pool is lovely and is ideal for kids we have a 10yr and a 15yr....the appartment wasnt too bad although could do with air con'...the beach is a good 10mins away although its not too bad a walk just be ready to be pestered by people trying to get you in their resturants to eat wether its breakfast, dinner or tea!....places to eat close by are nice ..some a little pricy though the wiskey jar is not a bad place to stop for a drink or grab an easy meal plus they do takeaway pizzas which for us was handy with the kids...the main problem was around 4.30am onwards when the young people crawled home shouting and having no respect for anyother holiday makers which was a pain as you'd just nicely dropped off to sleep after melting with the heat and having no aircon!!and to top it all the lovely on site cleaners seem to have ever less repect as they make a right racket!the resort needs to tigten its rules more as it has a notice in its pin boared stating they do not accept noise after 22:00hrs??!!........its a shame as the place is nice just other people spoilt it a bit.

Arrived on friday 9th July left next day this place is the pits if you want a nice family holiday as full of drunking 18-30 playing music all night screaming shouting so beware.Even the security man is useless in keeping it quiet. My kids were really upset at the thought of staying there any longer then the one night we had to.

Las floritas was very basic but had an amazing pool area, with plenty of space and around 7/8 hours of sun in certain spots, was full of crass 18-30 yr olds so wouldnt recommend to any famillies, older couples or elderly people booking up. There wasn't a restaurant but the Whisky Jar pub served great food both sit in and take out and was very reasonable. The staff were average but had a lot to deal with as the noise levels could get up at times, all in I would definately recommend it to my mates.

As a group of 6 girls we stayed at the Las Floritas Apartments between the 9th and 16th of July. We were slightly concerned about the acomodation following mixed reviews and the fact that we payed next to nothing for the holiday, but were all pleasantly suprised. On arrival we were slightly concerned when we couldn't actually see the hotel but once we went down the steps on the street we were very happy with the reception etc. We were met on arrival by the rep who was amazing and really very helpful all week. The one issue we did have was that when we arrived only one of our two rooms keys could be found, meaning all 6 of us had to spend the first night in an apartment for 4. However, whilst it was a a bit cramped we all had a bed of some form and managed to sleep fine. The apartments themselves were very pleasing. They were clean and eveything worked which was all we could ask for. Whilst the decor may have been slightly dated considering the amount of time you spend in the apartments it is of little importance. We had a meeting with the rep that night and all immediately booked up on all the excursions she had to offer (we would reccomend them all particularly the bar crawls and the school themed night) and were happy to know that our entertainment for the week was organised.
Throughout the week we were very happy with the facilities, entertainment and staff (previous reviews have said that security staff were grumpy and unhelpful but we found them to be very helpful and accomodating). The pool was fantastic and the beach was only a 5-10 minute walk away. In the evenings we found a range of places to eat but would reccomend The Whilsky Jar and the Chinease situated directly beside the apartments.
With regards to the brothel situated at the end of the road that the apartments are on, we had absolutely no problems what so ever. Whilst it was a slight concern to us we witnessed very little 'business' going on near by and no one approached us regardless of what time of day/night we were walking past.
Las Floritas is considered to be one of the biggests youth hotel's in Playa de las Americas so therefore it was perfect for our needs (lots of other young people, close to the bars and clubs etc) so we would definately reccomend to to groups of friends. However, there were a number of families there with children who also appeared to be well catered for. If possible we would reccomend that you ask to have an apartments that do not back on to the road as it can be quite noisy. However, our apartments did back on to the road and you soon adapt to the noise of the traffic. As far as we could tell all rooms had a pool view and a balcomy that got the sun at some point during the day.
With regards to the problem with the key on the first night, we asked the rep to write a short letter confirming the issue, which she was more than happy to do. All of the staff were pleasant and willing to help but the rep in particular was excellent, ensuring that she got to know each group well and helping in whatever way she could. On the nights out she, and the other Thomas Cook reps, were friendsly, helpful, fun and more than capeable of looking after anyone who got a little too drunk. We all think that we had a far better time by going out through the orgnaised nihts out than we would have done had we gone alone.
On the whole, we all had an amazing holiday that was so much better than we anticipated. There is no doubt that we would reccomend the Las Floritas Apartments to friends and family and we would definately consider going back again next year.

dont go if you want sleep at night get more sleep if you camped at the side of the runway at heathrow airport. the resort is very roudy full of young 18- 30 year olds out to get smashed every night. they bang on doors shouting over the balcony swearing turn the air blue young children dont need to here that sort of thing.the resort is advertised for suitable for young children but beleave me its NOT.all you get is aload of abuse from other residents when you confront them about the noise.when complianed to sercrity he just said what can i do about it,same when confronted the manager he has no controll over his resort what so ever.the first night there the police was there to arrest someguys over somthing, some of the guest took prostitutes back to the apartments there was use condoms out on the floor.in my opinion if you want a holiday from hell buy all means stay there but youve been warned.apart from that the apartment were nice and the complex was also very nice just a few idiots that spoil it for everyone eles.

was booked in here for a two week stay and lasted just 11 hours, arrived at 3.30 in the morning, after witnessing girls selling favors in the street was led into a dingy reception area given a key to a room and left to it, got to the room, the smell was disgusting, i leaned on the worktop and was left with an arms full of dirt, the cooking facilities left a lot to be desired, the floor was filthy, i went back to the reception to complain but was told i would have to wait till 8am for the manager, after spending the next few hours on top of the bed in a horrible room i saw the manager, he abrubtly told me they would move us to another room at 11am but by that time i was adamant i was not staying there, went to see the rep at 11am and aired my complaints and in thomas cooks favor i was moved by 2.30pm that day, i was only moved a few hundred yards along the road (to the oro blanco), but it seemed like a million miles away from that awful place, would never reccomend these apts to anyone, the only good thing about these apts was the pool.

We stayed at las floritas apartments from the 30th march to the 6th april 2010. Las floritas is in a excellent location and is beautiful we ask for a room that was high up, they gave us a room high up. Great pool that is ideal for children. The apartments are very secure and there is a safe if you request it for 10euros each. They are basic but are perfect for basic needs. Siam Park is only 10mins away, siam park is amazing anyone thinking of going go well worth the money and has a area for children. Las americas is a great place full of lots of activities and the people at las floritas are always happy to help and are very friendly. Excellent holiday we defently recommend the appartments and we will defently be back!!!

i was plesently suprised when me and my girlfriend arrived at the apartments after tha bad reviews we had heard we were a bit wary...but the rooms were clean and we were on the ground floor which scared us because of the reviews and we asked out lovely rep VIKI to ask for a room change and they gave us a choice of two but we stayed in the original only because the other were too high lol
the cleaners were great and came in everyday while we were there and the places to eat were amazing and cheap some were rubbish but everywhere has them the beach is great and we went swimming in the sea and saw tropical fish, the booze cruise was great and he reps are very helpful, its rubbish about the brothel but theres a club there but quiet as n e thing whiskey jar was amazing and felt at home its a bit of a walk to n e where but on the way to them theres much more to see i would highly reccomend this apartment and then pool was amzing and we were in everyday but where plenty of sun cream because its veerrrry hot there! theres also some cheap supermarkets around but you have to fish for them dnt use the spar or expect to buy a loaf for 5 quid !!

Stayed at the Las Floritas Apartments for 4 weeks in July with my husband and 3 children aged 13, 8 and 4. Had a great holiday as we always do at these apartments and would recommend them to all. As previous comments have stated in the months of July and August there can be a lot of young groups but this did not bother us at all as we were once young our selves (Some people seem to forget this)Outwith these months the apartments are more couples and families so bare this in mind if you are thinking on booking July Aug. The complex is very clean and the pool great for the kids who spent all day every day splashing around the lazy river like pool. Everything you need is on your doorstep and you do not have to go far for entertainment and good food. Whiskey jar was a favourite of ours for a few drinks at night. Will be going back next year and looking forward to it already.
