Comments:  8 girls stayed her for 2 nights over weekend, checked in very quick and easy at 3pm (was told we couldnt checkin till after 4), rooms are very basic but fantastic value, 4 girls getting ready and hot water remained through-out. Didn't use kitchen apart from storing drinks in fridge. Hill nothing like what reviews made out, wouldnt reccommend for babies or eldery but 20-something girls found it fine to stroll down although drink-fuelled needed taxi back!!
Very quiet apartment block, found there were stags on the day we left, wish we'd known they were there earlier!! Only staff we spoke to was receptionist guy and he was very friendly & helpful.
Pool ok for toe dipping while planning night ahead.
All in all it suited our needs perfectly and for the type of break we went on would definately reccommend it.

Comments:  Location: Told there was a "slight hill" - very misleading, it's a long steep hill which has the nickname 'cardiac hill'. Very disappointed in this as I had a toddler in a pram and would not have chosen these apartments if I'd known. If you have a pram or wheelchair please avoid..Staff: Friendly enough, didn't have much contact with them though..Room: Basic but clean and tidy. Great shower, great balcony, large fridge freezer. Beds very uncomfortable, very hard. Plenty of crockery, blankets, towels. Linen only changed if there for more than 1 week, didn't bother me. Plenty of wardrobe space. 2 lifts. Cooking facilities are really non-existent - 2 ring hob is good enough for boiling eggs maybe. Take travel kettle as you only get a hob kettle, very slow and old fashioned. Plenty of hot water and boiler has its own outside area, very safe. Small swimming pool but well kept. Town: Great bus system - just over 1 euro per journey, don't need correct fare and buses stop at every bus stop, no need to put out hand to stop bus, plenty of shops and stalls, ample restaurants (mostly british though). Plenty of cash machines and banks. Dangerous roads though, watch out as traffic flows even though the 'green man' is on for pedestrians. Traffic allowed to drive along 'front' and beach area. Very easy to forget this as road is not apparent, be careful. Prices: Very expensive - everything. Groceries especially - bread £2, milk £1.50. Try to purchase as many Spanish brands as possible. Attractions: Not many, difficult to entertain teenagers. Theme park good, dolphin show at Mundomar is amazing. Waterpark does not open until May. Alicante airport: Very smooth check-in and baggage system. After security there are ample shops and eateries for travellers.

Comments:  We just spent 1 week at these apartments and apart from having to wait 40 minutes to check in late on a Saturday we could not fault them.
There was my husband, me and two teenage boys.

Plenty of room in the apartment itself, a lovely large balcony we could all fit onto and it had the sun all day from about 10:30, very useful to dry clothes and towels on the airer outside.

Basic catering facilities but a decent fridge/freezer and plenty of cupbaord space. Range of pots and pans is adequate.

No air-con but in April it was not needed.

Well stocked bar and friendly bar staff who also did the cooking of a reasonable menu, handy for emergencies when you can't be bothered to cook or go out.
Smoking allowed.
Also two internet terminals,a pool table and PS3 (pay as you go).

Very close to the shops, restaurants, beach. It is worth discovering the back streets and staying off the main drag for better prices.
Yes, there is a hill to climb back up but nothing like I expected from reading these reviews and at least it is away from the hub-bub and you are almost sober when you get back to the room.

The pool is not heated but it gets the sun all day and is small enough to be bearable. Has a section for small children.

There is no linen change or cleaning if you stay 1 week but there is a mop and bucket and brush in the room to use.

The only letdown was some of the other Brits who stayed there, boozing it up and getting in at 5 am making a din.

For the price it is excellent value for money and nicely tucked away.

Comments:  Although on top of a hill, reputed to be steep was I thought a gradual incline, people with walking difficulties would struggle. Apartment was larger than I thought it would be. Two bedrooms and a put you up settee. My only problem was I thought the mattresses were past their sell by date (misshapen, and uncomfortable).

It was only short walk down the hill and then 100metres to the beach. Everything then is on hand for walking on the promenade, shops or entertainment. The White Horse is a popular pub but there are so many to choose from. The Benidorm Palace was a fabulous show.

Never been before to Benidorm, but definitely going again.

Comments:  My family stayed at these apartments from 2nd-9th Oct.

Deposit - £40 Sterling per room.

[Location]

3 are elderly and have trouble walking long distances, and we went against the recommendation for elderly not to stay here. They took their time walking up the hill and it was no problem. For those who know benidorm las Torres apartments are next door to Europa centre but further up the hill. Not by much though.

Those who don’t know Benidorm, a 2min walk directly down the hill can situate you outside the Triangle/Cellar bars in the Rincon De Loix (Levante) end excellent location. There are 4 supermarkets within 100 metres walk, 2 one of which are directly opposite the apartments.

[Pool and Bar]

The guy on reception speaks very good English, but reception is unmanned 99% of the time, and you have to press the buzzer on the outside of the building to call someone. The bar serves meals, drinks, and snacks and also has the internet at 1 Euro for 20mins. A lift goes down to the bar and pool area, although you must obtain a different key to be able to call it and go down. This can be obtained from the man at reception if you ask very nicely, or I believe the rep.

The pool is not heated but is of an adequate size with a separate children’s pool. The whole area is spotless.

[Rooms]
All rooms at these apartments are 2 bed roomed. They can sleep up to 6 people, which includes 2 on the sofa bed in the lounge. There were 2 sets of twin rooms, one which had a door that led out onto the spacious balcony.

The kitchen is small, but has a very basic laundry area next to it. There is no grill or oven, or microwave in the apartments. There is a kettle and 2 rings, large fridge/freezer combo and ample cutlery, plates, pans, and dishes.

The rooms are fairly spacious. The TV is a pay as you view set, and 1 euro can buy you 1hr 15mins worth of viewing. Channels to name a few were ITV, UK Gold, Comedy, ITV2, and Sky News.

If you arrive on a Tuesday (Main changeover day in benidorm) your towels are changed once during the week. There are departures and arrivals every day apart from Sunday at these apartments.

The main gate is locked, but you have a key for this, and also for the main door to get into the reception area of the apartments.

No linen change during the week.

Some guests depending on the day they arrive get their towels changed twice during the week.

The bathroom has a powerful shower/bath combo, bidet, toilet, and sink.

***Please do be very careful when standing in the bath to shower, it is very slippy as there is no anti slip mat and the older members of my family had to put a towel in the bottom to act as such. ***

Overall, good apartments for the price but not too far away from it all.

Comments:  I would just like to say, I was quite apprehensive about staying at Las Torres after the reviews I had read, but I was pleasantly suprised.

The room was very spacious, the pool was small but ideal as I have three children to watch.

The Thomson rep was helpful, but we thought the management was very abrupt. We went to the Terra Mitica & water park which were great days out. We also went to the medieval night, which we were not impressed with the staff as we got sat near a pile of ants & they just wanted to clean them up. The rep helped us get moved to a different place. But Benidorm as a whole is a great place to stay.

Comments:  The hotel was situated up a big steep hill. The rooms was very basic, the best thing about the rooms was the balcony.

No rep to meet you on arrival. Not enough bedding, when asked for more we got told there was a good bedding shop in town that sold them, swimming pool not heated and too small.

Cafe bar area too small, staff misreable, not allowed to make a noise after 12 at night or they threatened you with the police. Who wants to go on holiday and told you can’t have a laugh after 12 at night? It was the most unpleasant hotel I have ever come across. The rep was hardly ever there, she wasn’t helpful at all and I don’t think she knew how to smile.

1/0 – I’d rate it, never ever would we go back, it was a waste of money.

Comments:  We travelled to Benidorm on the 23rd August 2007. There was three adults and two children staying in a two bedroom apartment.

We were all very weary on arrival from reading some of the comments on this web site. We were quiet happy when we arrived at the apartment. The owner was very welcoming and checked us in very quickly.

The apartment itself was very basic but you can expect that as the apartments are only 2 star. We found the rooms to be quiet spacious and very clean.

The maid never visited our room to change the beds and if you want a change in towels you must leave the dirty ones at the door of the bathroom(which we didn't know as the sign is on the front door.)

Not ideal for pushchair ect as the apartments are on a hill so we generally got a taxi which didn't cost very much. The swimming pool is very small and there are limited sun loungers. But the beach is beautiful.

I think generally it is a quieter part of Benidorm so the kids slept no bother although there is NO AIR CONDITIONING and in August it is a must have. All in all we had a great holiday but wouldn't return to the Las Torres apartments unless it installed air conditioning.

Comments:  Well, when I read the reviews I didn't feel like going but now I know that they were a load of rubbish!
People's comments had mentioned a 'Cardiac Hill', but the hill wasn't as bad as they made out.
The food was available to buy along with ice-creams, snacks and a large variety of drinks.
The hotel staff were lovely and very friendly. I found they were easy to talk to as they all spoke good English. We had a little problem with the boiler but the staff quickly fixed it.
The entertainment varied every night; from animal shows to karaoke.
The pool was a bit small and shaded at times but this didn't really bother me or my 4 children and it was better for them to be out of the sun.
A guest had a poo in the pool but it was cleaned immediatley so guests could continue swimming. I have to say I wasn't near or in the pool during that incident.
Overall, my stay was very good and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I would certainly recommend it.

Comments:  We went to Los Torres as a group of nine (five being kids). Rooms were superb with massive balcony. Pool was small but children thoroughly enjoyed it and spent most of the day there.

Food and staff were great. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone taking children. Close to all amenities and some fabulous restaurants and pubs close by. Looking forward to going again next year.

Comments:  Apartments were large, and the staff were friendly.

However when we went to place our suitcases under the beds (which were quite uncomfortable to sleep on) we found the floors under the beds were thick with dust - we mentioned this to a member of staff and it was rectified.

The pool was small and not heated, however the courtyard it was in was well maintained.

The apartments are quite a walk from the pubs and show bars, so it was nice and quiet and but very close to the beach. They are located up a steep hill so I wouldn’t recommend for to those with limited mobility.

On the whole though, they were ideal for my hen weekend - although due to the amount of alcohol consumed in the centre, we did require a taxi to get us back, this only cost four Euros.

I would recommend las Torres to families with small children and couples as it is in a very quiet area with a shop located in the hotel and a small super market just across the road!

Great if you just want to chill out.
