Carlton George Hotel

Reasonable sized rooms, small bathrooms but all very clean. Decor and amenities a little dated but all in good condition. Complimentary mini bar and decanters of Sherry, Gin & Whisky a nice touch and the complimentary executive lounge bar is excellent. The people getting the most out of the hotel were small groups who could spend the evening in the very comfortable lounge drinking and chatting for free. Was fortunate enough to spend New Year's Eve at this hotel. The service was faultless, the room a good size, huge bed, spotlessly clean and a lovely bathroom. The view was of the windows across the alley between the hotel and the station but as the hotel is sandwiched between buildings I didnt expect much else. There is a good view from the executive lounge on the 7th floor, which had a free bar (dont know if that is every night or just at New Year).
