We arrived at the Siesta hotel at the early hours of the morning and walked into the teeney, tiny rooms. The only way to describe this room is to say its like a prison cell...we thought we were doing hard time! Had to move round in single file and practically leave the room... more

very welcomıng
Alex, Yurda and all the staff ın the apartments and Champagne restaurant are very welcomıng and helpful. The rooms ın the apartment are very spacıous, clean and cosy. The food ın Champagne restaurant ıs delıcıous wıth a great choıce of menu. We have really enjoyed our stay ın Sıesta apartments and hope to return next year.
Relaxation
Well - What an enjoyable holiday. My wife and I went to relax and with three teenage daughters it's normally never the case and they are usually always asking for a drink or something to eat.; well the Siesta Hotel made it possible. The rooms were clean are well maintained for 3*. The rooms were basic but acceptable. The food throughout the week was excellent and variety was plentiful. The staff both in the restaurant and bar were friendly and helpful. We mainly used the pool at the Juniper as the Siesta was full of beds already occupied with towels and no persons sitting on them. This was a bit frustrating but was able to overcome it by using the pool at the juniper hotel. All Inclusive rearly worked for us as there was never a problem in getting served by the friendly staff. A good holiday was had by all the family and would probably go back next year.
Superb apartments and resteraunt ,welcomed like one of the family
yurda ,alex and all the staff at the siesta apartments and the champagne bar are the most friendliest poeple in the whole of icemeler, they cannot do enough for there guests.the food in the champagne bar is superb .looking forward to going back this august.
nice hotel,fantastic staff!
Me and my fiance stayed at the siesta hotel for two weeks and enjoyed every minute of it.Apart from when we first got there we didnt realise you have to put the key in the slot to work the electrics,so i must admit i thought nothing worked at first, but after finding out everything did work i was very happy with our room.It had everything we needed, even quite a powerful hairdryer! The rooms arent huge but for the amount of time we spent in there it did'nt matter, the bathroom was clean and basic but had a huge sink so i could put all my toiletries on.The room also had free aircon, which is quite rare these days. The maid came everyday, and sometimes made heart shaped towels which made me smile. The pool area was great, and although we didnt go allinclusive we ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was cheap and tasty!.The breakfast had a great selection, scrambled egg, beans, toast, fruit etc.The staff at the siesta were fantastic, our favourate was farentien (columbo as we called him) he is such a nice man, couldnt do enough for us.Ichmeler itself is lovely, much better than marmaris which we visited just once, that was enough. We sampled quite a few restaurants, the steaks were fantastic at the international! Just down from our hotel,we enjoyed many cocktails at the magic garden and kactus.Just opposite there is a restaurant called the golden moon which is fantastic, the sultans special was amazing! I could go on and on,but you can make you're own mind up if you visit this hotel, some people have given this hotel bad reviews ,but i think if you want high class luxury, pay for it.With this hotel it is great value for money and at the end of the day your holiday is what you make it.We are going back to this hotel next year with our family this time,it was that good...
terrible
i have never stayes in a hotel as disgusting as this one my first night i phoned my rep then spoke to the manager and got moved to the juniper the next day as my first room overlooked the floor below and was coveres in fag butts beer cans and bottles the shower was a square on the floor with just a curtain and water went all over the floor after moving the other hotel even though i have found out it was 2 star was slightly better where the shower was concerned i should have had sea views also fridge and minibar i had to pay 40 lira for the lead to work the fridge and the minibar consisted of two glasses staff were having sex on sunbeds late at night with some russian workers also during the day in the swimming pool the ice machine that they used if they ran out of ice was thick at the bottom with green slime i booked this holiday with goldtrail i put in a complaint at end of holiday as i never saw a rep and most of the time i ate out i was all inclusive there was no choice in drinks vodka raki or beer no buffet all day only a sandwich at 3 o:clock no ice creams for children i will never book with goldtrail again or go to that hotel again its a shame as turkey is loverly
i only wanted a diet coke
I have just stayed at the Siesta hotel for a week , on arrival i must say i was impressed ,very clean, and although rooms were small they were clean , food was same old same old but always something ediable, in fact i have been to turkey a good few times and it was really not bad at all, only a few problem areas, one being the bar, to get served you had to be twenty and clad in a bikini, or the bar boy would just turn his back and found his mobile phone far more interesting, or start drying glasses and ignore you,so you just had to stand there and be taken for a complete idiot untill he deemed to serve you, and believe me i was not alone in this treatment, also if you are against dog fighting while you are trying to relax by the pool, and the smell of dog poo while eating your meals, this is a daily occurance, having said all that i had a good time ,it's what you make it. this is what review are for though. Helen
Great time at the Siesta
Have recently spent a fortnight at the Siesta. The holiday was inexpensive so obviously you get what you pay for. The double room we had was small but this didn't matter as we weren't there to spend much time in it. We stayed there on a bed and breakfast basis but also had some meals there which were very good value with a varied selection. The aspect that I was most impressed with was the genuinely friendly staff. They couldn't have done more to make you welcome and enjoy your holiday
small but ok
Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Siesta Hotel in Iclemer for a week last August. A week was plenty. The pool was small, and i mean really small, we didnt actually go to the pool as there was never any room and always crouded, so we went to the beach which was only a 10 min walk away, it was a nice walk as iclemer is a really nice place. We were all inclusive but never really took advantage of this as there was no evening entertainment just a tiny bar in the corner, we found ourselves goin back to the wonder boys pub about 5 mins away, it was really fun there. I found the food ok, however my boyfriend is a fussy eater and didnt enjoy it at all, some nights i found it ok others not so ok but we mostly eat out, howvever i would not reccomennd goin to the chineese resteraunt at about 1 in the morning after a few to many sex on the beaches, as we were both ill on the day of us coming home, both had sickness and diarreah. We went on the lazy day boa trip which was lovely, you stop at some nice clear waters and it was a lovely day, probably the best day. Our room was small but had everything we needed, it was very dark though as our room was all a dark green, i dont know if all the rooms are the same. I would reccomend goin to the resteraunt right next to the hotel, i cant remember the name, but the people working there was lovely. overall id say it was ok for a last minute cheap getaway, however i wouldnt return to the siesta hotel, i would possiby return to iclemer as i thaught the area was lovley but maybe try a hotel down by the beach cos they looked lovely.
great holiday
We have just got back from the siesta hotel in icmeler Turkey. I think the previous review was for the siesta apartments not hotel as this hotel does not have self catering rooms. It was a lovely hotel, very good value for the money. We went all inclusive which saved us a fortune on drinks, which was great having 3 children. If you want english food this is not the place for you, it is local food which we enjoyed, and more importantly we were not ill !! It is located off the main street so it is nice and peaceful. Once a week they have a party night. The pool is good my children spent a lot of time playing and making friends. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are not huge, but big enough for what you need and all have a small balcony which was nice. We went on the lazy day boat trip which was fun and great value. We also went on the jeep safari which was sold to us as a family day out!! A lot of people enjoyed this trip and you may be one of them. We didnt expect the swearing from the tour guide or the water guns, which they dont mention when you book ,so that they can sell you waters guns at an inflated rate. The day then consists of squirting each other and stopping off at water refill points to get squirted with hose pipes and driving under car washes! The day had a 18-30 holiday feel that had my 6 year old in tears, we were lucky to have a driver that was then nice to her and let her escape the worst of the treatment- others were not as lucky so be warned. Icmeler was larger than we expected and Turkey is not the cheap place it was. Take plenty of English money -it is cheaper in pounds. You need to pay £10 to enter the country so be prepared for this, as we were not! The hotel is only a ten minute walk from the beach which we enjoyed. We all had a great holiday and were sad to leave. We would like to go back again.
Super Location, Excellent Hospitality
Arrived in the rain (very rare for this time of year) after a long journey to be greeted by Alex ( part owner) from the Champagne restaurant and Paul (english) from the reception in the Aparthotel. We were shown to our apartment (204) overlooking the main street and bars and directly above the restaurant/bar. Much bigger than we expected, small bathroom with shower (hairdryer provided), kitchen/living room with balcony-complete with coat rack (we used it for beachbag), TV (some Sky channels) two large single sofa beds, wardrobe/cupbaord for clothes, dining table and chairs also had 2 ring hob, kettle and toaster and enough crockery and cutlery for 4 people. The bedroom had 2 single beds, bedside table, dressing table, large wardrobe, safety deposit box (extra to pay locally) and air conditioning (extra to pay locally). There was also a balcony with table and chairs- ideal for a pre dinner drink and a good book, or equally good for watching the world go by! Paul was great to have around, having just moved out there recently, he knew all the good places to eat and could help us out with everyday enquiries such as the price of a dolmus, best place for a turkish bath etc... We even went out with him and his wife on a couple of nights. Plus the reception desk is open 24hrs so no need to worry about security. The pool area has sun for most of the day and is definitely a suntrap- no breeze but a refreshingly cool pool. Also the guys from Champagne will bring you out food and drinks, as and when required. Also if you wanted to eat in your apartment, then you could order something and they would provide room service! Champagne restaurant and bar is great, the staff are fantastic, friendly and good fun. They remembered our names from just asking us once- we had more trouble remembering theirs but we had great fun with Alex, Tony, Arran, Ali and the rest! The food was super, we ended up having english breakfast on several occasions (only £2) and ate there in the evening too, enjoying steaks, chicken and pasta dishes, all served wth the usual chips, rice, salad and anything else they can get on your plate. They didn't even mind when we told them we wanted to try some other restaurants-some other places woul have been giving you grief for daring to try somewhere else, but not these guys. They recognise that if you give good service, super food and are friendly that at the end of the day, you will eat there again and recommend it to others. The location is very good too, about a 5 min walk to the beach. (Paul directed us to the free sunbeds). Also equally close to the shops, restaurants and on the main dolmus run. The bars all have to switch the music off at midnight so there was no late night noise and we never had any trouble getting to sleep, after a couple of drinks, who does? It might be a problem for families with children however, you could ask for an apartment on the back of the complex- absolutely no noise there. Overall, superb accomodation, clean, well maintained, friendly, fun and repeatedly visited by the same english guests and ex pats too! That's a good enough recommendation.
