What a joke this hotel is!

Please do not stay here for your own sanity, safety, and health - yes it really is that bad.

Night one, we were put in a twin room despite booking a double, yet because we arrived at 3am they refused to make up another room promising us it would be done in the morning.

The room was rotten, bath yellow and net curtains literally black. We thought we were in an old hospital.

Next morning we get a sorry but will move you to a refurbished TWIN room! This room despite being refurbished again was dirty, paper peeling off the walls, cracks in the decor and as for the beds! They were stained, springs coming through the mattress and very uncomfy with a promise of moving again to a double the following day.

Fine next day, we moved to a double, no remote for the TV, bathroom door would not close and leading door sticking till we had to call reception to be let out, how much more stress could we take!!

I tried to run a bath but could not turn the taps so again called reception who hit the tap with a monkey wrench, then decide it was broken leaving a constant dripping now from the tap only to be told this could not be fixed till the new year, 3 more nights and that there were no other rooms available.

The night manager was extremely rude and told us to go find another hotel knowing because of New Year, none were available and we couldn’t go home as we live in the Isle of Man and couldn’t get a flight else we would have done.

The corridors were tatty, but most importantly dirty and actually a disgrace. I have never stayed in somewhere like this, it puts Fawlty Towers up with the Dorchester.

Outside the hotel, drug addicts seem to hang around asking for money and are quite intimidating, police and ambulance crews are on standby for the night’s troubles so getting any sleep is a definite no no. Urinals are outside too so all and sundry are hanging about with the constant smell of urine everywhere.

I assure you, we are not picky but this literally took the biscuit and if you decide to stay here then be it on your own head - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

What a great hotel, we went for a long weekend from Fri. to Mon. This hotel is basically at central station so great and easy access for anywhere.

The hotel itself is lovely, has a great pool for just relaxing and doing nothing!!

Rooms are comfy and breakfast is very good too.

The staff are wonderful and happy to give you advice on the good restaurants and bars or sights to visit on your stay, st Georges square is a few mins walk as is the main areas of the city. You really couldn’t ask for a better location.

For the price of this you cannot complain one bit.

Glasgow itself is a fun area to be in, there are numerous gay bars full of fun, and bars from cheap and cheerful to more upmarket depending on what you’re after.

The hotel is great and we have re-booked for new year-hogmanay.

As I said earlier, you won’t be disappointed especially with the location.

For convenience to the centre and price this hotel is very good. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The interior of the hotel is badly in need of refurbishment. The room was clean and the beds comfy, but the bathroom didn't smell particularly fresh.

Full Scottish Breakfast is provided free, but by the time we arrived at the restaurant it was overcooked and slightly cold.

Myself, my mother and my daughter had had a very traumatic day, to cut a long story short we were on holiday in Warsaw Poland and were returning back to Liverpool but our flight had been cancelled. The only way they could get us back over to the uk was to fly us in to Glasgow so thats what we did. We decided to stay at the nearest hotel to the station as we had a 05.55 train the next morning. We had been up since 3am so when we arrived at the hotel at 11pm we were extremely tired and in need of a shower.

The reception area looked very nice so we booked. It was a different story when we got out of the lift! We were staying on the 5th floor and it was very tatty, right outside my mums room there was a huge crack in the ceiling where the water was constantly dripping and the carpet was wet through!

The rooms were smelly and so was the bathroom, half of the lights didn't work, there was no remote for the tv, the tiles round the bath had dirt on them as if they hadn't been cleaned and everytime you ran the tap or flushed the loo some dirty water started coming up the plughole in the bath and made a really loud noise. To top it all there was no hot water! So after the long day we'd had we couldn't even have a shower!

We thought about leaving but we decided against it as it was late and we didn't know the area plus my mum was really upset! On leaving the next morning, because it was early there was just a few men in the reception who worked there, when we complained they really didn't care! So my complaints are at present being sent to the relevant people.

It cost £125.00 for the 3 of us to stay there and the only word I can use to describe it is a cesspit!

We stayed at the Quality Hotel Glasgow for 2 nights, and for this length of time the hotel was fine. It is in a good location, right in the central station complex, with the train from Glasgow Prestwick airport stopping here.

The hotel was very old, the hallways damp and smelly, and this refurbishment that has apparently happened is obviously limited to a few rooms only.

The pool and "leisure centre" was under street level, and required a walk down a dark, cold, and somewhat scary concrete hallway with many doors. Felt like a mental home.

I have stayed at the quality hotel in Dublin, and truly was quality, this hotel definitely is not.

The reason it managed a rating of 6/10 for me was only because of the convenience of the location, and the breakfast was decent.

Don’t expect a table in the restaurant for dinner as it was always busy and we were told that there was no room, very unacceptable I thought, and we were not offered any suggestions of where else to go.

The hotel was very hot and stuffy, and opening the window in the room meant extreme noise from the street.

There is also a bar next door on the street level, and although we were on level 3, the noise and vibrations of the band playing there was unbearable.

We managed to get the hotel for half price, but unless you also manage to get a decent deal, I would not recommend it as the price is way too high for the standard of hotel. I would rate this a 2star hotel at best.

This is a great city centre...

This is a great city centre hotel right in the middle of Glasgow beside Central Station.

It's quite an old hotel and the decor looks like it but for position and price it's great. The rooms are looking a little bit in need of refurbishment but everything in clean and functional.

There is no air conditioning but generally in Glasgow you don't need it. However, the main function suites are over the station and can get very warm.

For a quick stay it is ideal and I especially like the fact that in Scotland there is a No Smoking law which makes the whole place cleaner and smoke free.

Excellent hotel right next to Glasgow’s central station.

The rooms are of a good size and clean. My room looked out on to the roof of the station so I was a bit put of, but I didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. Also I thought there would be noise but there was none.

Convenient to all the cities major shops the hotel has an impressive facade.

The swimming pool and leisure centre are free to guests, and for those who have forgotten their costumes and who dare the hotel will let you have one for a nominal charge.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. The service and rooms are always top rate. I have stayed in rooms, both sides of the hotel, one overlooking the street and one overlooking the famous central station (who needs to go to New York!!). I have to say when I first realised that the room overlooked the station I wasn't too impressed, thinking it would noisy but you don't hear a thing, plus its an excellent chance to people watch!!

The hotel has loads of extras including a swimming pool & health and beauty suite. I would recommend having a manicure done. Pure bliss. Reception can make arrangements for you.

During my last stay in Jan 06 with my parents, my father managed to loose his mobile phone in a museum. When we arrived back at the hotel the staff were a great help in trying to make contact to recover the phone. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel and its services to anyone.
