It is situated just 10 minutes from Dusseldorf Airport and train station. A bus runs every half hour (always very prompt) to the airport where a train can be caught into the centre of Dusseldorf.
This is one of my favourite places in Europe and would suit almost anyone - especially those who like a beer or two!
Dusseldorf Altstadt (old town) is lined with bars, Alt (traditional dark beer) houses, and restaurants.
Definitely somewhere I would recommend.
