our holiday started with a bad experience our transfer from the airport to the hotel was terrifying the driver was nodding off asleep on regular occasions then he did actually go asleep a member of our party had to grab the wheel and steer the vehicle to safety to which the driver woke up and put his foot on the brake kids were screaming and other passengers were hysterical we all demanded he let us off we then rang the company and ordered another driver to continue the journey this left a terrible scar for myself and other members of our party as we were petrified about the return journey we were not offered any reimbursements no compensation for the trumatic experience we had suffered after speaking to other holiday makers on the island it had also happened to them this is apawling and should not be allowed to continue lifes are at risk and it has certainly put me off visiting turkey again.

whilst in turkey it was mine and my husbands 8th wedding anniversary he had decided to by me a ring so we looked in a few shop windows i was attracted to one ring in a shop called Arica Jewellary based in Icmeler the cost of the ring was £90 they told me it was 14 carat gold it was white gold i wanted yellow gold so the jeweller assured me they would put a new carriage on it and to come back later and it would be amended

we were very pleased with the ring on collection but after a few days the gold had started to wear away and the white gold was reappearing so my husband took it back they would not accept responsibilty for this fault it was obvious they had just dipped the ring rather than changing the carriage. they became abusive and told us to get out the shop we demanded our money back they would not give it we had to go to the police they were shouting at us outside the shop infront of people passing it was so embarrasing and frightening. Our party feel they need reporting shop owners should not be allowed to treat people in such a fowl manner or be able to blatenly rip customers off like that I hope this report goes out to alot of people who can be pre warned dont visit that shop Arica Jewellary nasty con men

The wife and i just got back from 1 week in Turkey staying at the Kontes Beach, first time we had been to Turkey so did,nt know what to expect as we booked a late cheap deal and was surprised when we were shown to our room we must have had the best view in the hotel overlooking the Icmeler beach, the rooms were small but clean, free air conditioning and boy did we need it, we both slept very well the air-con did its job, the beach is directly in front of the Kontes but after spending the last 5 years holidaying in Cyprus the sand and the sea were a bit of a let down in my opinion no good for kids, the sand hard on the feet and not much room on beach too many sun beds, the staff at the Kontes all friendly but if theres young ladys about they get all the attention but as the week went on we started to like Turkey more and more, on the whole i,m glad i picked the Kontes for our first time in Turkey its position in Icmeler is perfect for couples maybe not for families but thats only my opinion anyway enough said tata for now

Me and my husband just come back from Icmeler. We stayed at Kontes beach Hotel. We found the hotel to be very clean, free Air con. Rooms were cleaned every day.



Towels were only changed once though, but if you ask the receptionist, they will give you clean ones. The Staff were very friendly couldn't do enough for you, especially Ella Louise on reception she is so lovely.



Dinner and evening meals were very good, breakfast was ok, free safe deposit box. We have just booked to go back next year, can’t wait.

Me and my husband have just come back from Icmeler. We stayed at Kontes Beach hotel, we have had the best holiday yet!



The hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly couldn't do enough for you, dinner and evening meals were very good, breakfast was ok, free air con in the room, water is hotter for a shower in the evening due to solar heating. You have to pay for the sun loungers on the beach which is 2.50 lira, for all day. Towels got changed once while were there, just ask the receptionist for clean ones.



The room got cleaned everyday. Receptionist Ella Louise is lovely any problems and she is very helpful and friendly. Were have just booked for next year can't wait to go back.

Stayed June 06 small friendly. Hotel smack in the middle of the bay, food excellent good choice. Clean rooms, all the staff are helpful and go out of their way to please.



No pool but right on the beach (sister hotel has small pool next door) You wake up to beautiful views of the bay each day. The only bad thing was leaving, so much so we are back at end of Sept 06. We have not seen a bad review of this hotel on any site.

My wife and I stayed at the kontes beach this past July and we found the hotel clean and tidy and the service excellent. We cannot praise the service in the restaurant enough especially hakan and the food was excellent.



Location smack in the middle of icmelers beach front and although there was no pool we did not miss it because we had the beach on the doorstep. One word of advice take a shower before six o clock unless you like tepid ones.

Me and my family have been going to Icmeler for 11 years and I have stayed pretty much all over in different apartments.



Now my too boys have grown up and don’t come with us any more, we wanted to stay in a hotel in stead of self catering.



We stayed in the Kontes Beach last October for 1 week for £35 b+b! And it was perfect, we have just come back from there again June 2006 for £96, the rooms are clean and bright, the staff and service is A1. You can’t get any closer to the beach.



Now my wife and I will not stay in any other hotel or apart if we are on our own, the views are brill even if you get a room on the side of the hotel you still have great views of the bay.

I must admit having paid only £3.78 per night b&b I was a bit frightened that this hotel would be worth what I paid but I was shocked and surprised to find this hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed in.



Its location is right on the beach in Icmeler, the rooms have had an overhaul recently and were clean and modern. The staff were fantastic, the breakfast was typical, bread cheese, eggs, fruit etc. and you received 15% off all your food and drinks in the restaurant.



I’m staying again in two weeks time, I cannot find anywhere better value for money in Icmeler, and the views of the bay from all the balconies are stunning.
