We have been going to Turkey twice a year for 21 years. This year we stayed at the Devamli hotel, big mistake. Our bedroom was small, noisy and light at night,ok with mask and ear plugs.Beds and pillows are lumpy and hard.Bathroom fine very clean.Could do with more draw space.Wardrobe rails run back to front cannot see your clothes.Reception nice, staff good but no air conditioning(or it was off).Toilet very clean.Pool next to road with no comfort or chairs to sit on if wet,we went to beach everyday.Climb some stairs to a platform for sunbathing with mattresses on the floor, very claustraphobic,ok for the young.Breakfast for 4 people was serve yourself bread, cereal, fruit and coffee then served to you by rude condescending staff 1 egg 5 halves of cherry tomatoes 5 slices of cucumber,4 triangles of hard cheese,2 triangles of feta cheese,1 teaspoon of soft cheese,1 teaspoon of honey,1 teaspoon of jam 1 curl of butter and yogurt. The breakfast for 2 people was the same as for 4 people so best to sit at two tables. We continually asked for more but would not give us 2 eggs.Like all hotels they want you to eat at their restaurant,if you don't they would first try ignoring us and then try to ridicule us into doing so.This was all going on under the watchfull eye of the owner/manager who did not do a thing about it.Perhaps that's where they got their silver service training. I would not recommend the Devamli hotel.
- Advice: Stay clear of the Love Boat restaurant.

We have just returned from The Devamli Hotel. We found it to be a fantastic hotel. The Hotel was spotless, the cleaners were there all day and everwhere in the hotel was fantastic. On arrival the reception staff were amazing and continued to be that way for the whole holiday. Dee in particular was really very nice, she couldn't do enough for us!!! We travelled with our 6 and half month old baby who was treated like a princess the whole time we were there. Our room was a really good size and if we didn't think it was big enough for us we were offered another one!!!! We found that our room was perfect. It was room 311 the shower was great always loads of hot water, the air con was exceptional and always freezing which was a great way for our baby to cool down while we sat on the balcony in the ealy evening in full sun, we couldn't ask for a better room! The decor was great, with big heart cushions on our bed! We even returned one day to find that our towels were all made into heart shapes and the bed scattered with rose petals! The sun terrace was just perfect for us and we loved lounging on the mattresses, there were always clean covers for them. The sun deck is a real sun trap and just perfect for a real relax. The cold water jacuzzi was just brilliant and our baby loved going in it for a quick dip and cool off, so did we! The breakfast was fine as expected for a turkish breakfast and if you fancied a change then the breakfasts in surrouding bars are really cheap anyway around about £3 for a full english. We ate at the love boat once while there and it was truly amazing!!! The food was fantastic and the staff are wonderful. We daily popped in the sports bar for a drink in the afternoon and again all the staff there are amazing, really helpful genuine and nice. The hotel also has sunbeds on the beach this year that we used a lot, they are the best ones with lovely big cream umbrellas and just a little bit of luxury on the beach, a bit more expensive than the others but well worth it!! The hotel also deliver lunch to the beach! We were lucky enough to get a look at the penthouse apartment which has opened this year and if you are thinking of booking that then you eally wont be disappointed its amazing. The attention to detail in the hotel is second to none and the hotel staff are the same. the only one thing that i will say is that the drinks in the sports bar are a little on the expensive side so be careful if you have a tab lol

The hotel is very clean and has benefited from investment in toilets etc. That said, the bedrooms are beginning to show signs of wear and tear - broken mirror door in wardrobe, dirty cushion, broken light etc.
The Sports Bar is fine if you are a big drinker - the staff who 'work' the tables are only interested in you if you buy drink, and lots of it.
The Love Boat restaurant was a disappointment: we ate 4 times in 2008 whilst staying at the hotel on b/b basis. We booked h/b this year, anticipating excellent food. Unfortunately, we were on a (very) restricted menu, which had to be used between 6.30-7.30pm "because we have reservations". There is a service charge for each meal of about 70p, although this was denied by staff who had been told to advise that this was a 'cover charge'. Add to this £1.30 for a small bottle of water and you'll undretsand why we felt disappointed. Worst of all, was the feeling that as a hotel guest on h/b we were 'second class citizens' who were in the way.
- Advice: Wonderful place.
- Activities: The 5 mile walk to Marmaris - with Efes ate the finish.

The Devamli is a lovely family run hotel which I inadvertently booked as self catering but there are no sc facilities - my fault not theirs. The accommodation was clean and regularly serviced by efficient happy staff. We didn't use the small pool as we prefer the beach.
The highlight for us was the Loveboat Restaurant which served first class food in quirky but fun themed surroundings. The staff were great and couldn't be more friendly and helpful and with a 15% discount for hotel guests we saved enough points to cover our last meal before leaving.
Unfortunately the breakfast is nowhere near the quality of the main menu. (We also had a lovely freshly made sandwich for the beach which was reasonably priced.)
As this was the first week of the new season a lot of bars and restaurants were still closed and the hotel's Sports Bar didn't open until after a few days but again was clean, fresh and friendly with the 15% discount here as well. Embra made us very welcome and the service was great.
I would hope to return to the Devamli in the futere but miss out on the breakfast ! If you are going to Icmeler this is the place to stay.

This hotel was lovely, hotel staff excellent and bar staff good. Resturant staff, were rude, pushy, intimidating.
Pool area very, very small of no use really what so ever. Sunbeds are mattresses on the floor on a area above the pool.
Beware when on half board basis, resturant and bar staff work on commission basis and are not afraid to let you know this and intend to sell to you all the time!!!!!
This side of Turkey is very expensive now and the shops and bars are extremely pushy and quite rude if you do not buy. Beware
A vodka and red bull for example is 4.50 gbp !!!!

Have used Travel Republic twice and found them to be perfect. Everything went to plan. Hotel was brilliant. On arrival the staff rushed to help us in with suitcases. Rooms were cleaned regularly, as were towels. A few days before the end of our holiday our beds were decorated with flowers around folded towels - lovely touch. The Love Boat restaurant which is part of the Devamli hotel is absolutely fabulous. Everything about it is clean. The waiters are silver service trained and are dressed in immaculate white sailor outfits - very nice! The waiters were so friendly. Meals were served very quick - still don't know how the chefs coped as the restaurant was packed out from 1900 - 2400 hrs every single night. We were half board and our meals were served in this restaurant - lucky us! If you want a meal from the A la carte menu you need to pay for it. However, the set menu three course meal was great, we were stuffed every night! It must be the only restaurant where the waiters don't have to hassle anyone to come in - people just walk in!
Icmeler is lovely - so pretty. Trips are great value - Jeep Safari was so much fun.

We just arrived back today after spending a wonderful 2 weeks at this hotel.
It really should be a 4 or 5 * as you cannot fault anything about it, from the staff to managment they will all go out of their way to make your holiday the best.
the rooms are spotless and beautifully designed. You will get the coldest of cold beer in the sport inn and the nicest of food in the restaurant, we wished we booked half board instead of b&b.
Highly reccomended and we will return later this year.

We stayed there for a week last August, after having a bad flight we was not really expecting much, but when we arrived we were greeted by lovely staff and the hotel was so clean and stylish. Our room was lovely with the view from the balcony being outstanding.
The hotel is in just the right place with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants all around. Our stay was made even better by the staff in the sports bar who were such a laugh they were more like friends and were so entertaining.
With the pool and sunbeds being so close to the bar it was great for my boyfriend and me, I could lay in the sun wile he watched footie and could bring me drinks. : ) The sports bar played wicked music even when the matches were on they supplied headphones for the TV's.
We didn't get to try the Loveboat restaurant as there was so many other places to try but we heard really lovely things about it.
Next year we wanted to try somewhere different but looking at other places no where seems to live up to this place so we have just booked up for two weeks as one really was not enough. Cant wait for our next stay there.

Stayed at the Devamli the past 2 years now. We always said we would book a different hotel every time we went to Icmeler, but after our first stay here we just keep coming back.
We did book another hotel last Sept but our room was disgusting it smelt of raw sewage stayed there 2 nights but the smell just got worse.
Luckily for us the Devamli had had a cancelled booking (due to bomb scare in Marmaris) and we moved in there.
The hotel is spotless, in a great location and the staff are great. I love the Sports Bar it’s my favourite, food is good and the DJ is just the best I've heard, he plays different music from the other bars around not that loud bouncing music.
Ferrit and Freddy are lovely though Freddy does have a way with the girls, which was our entertainment.
The pool could be a problem for some people as it’s at the side of the bar and is not screened off, but the sun beds at the back are the comfiest I've had.
I am returning to this hotel twice in 2007 which speaks volumes. I cannot fault this hotel.

This hotel is wonderful. It had everything you could ask for in a hotel. The rooms are lovely smart, clean and elegant. They look like a 5 star instead of a three star.
Due to being bed and breakfast there is no fridge but there is a mini bar there, which like any other is expensive.
The lobby reception area is beautiful and cool which is great in those boiling hot days.
There is a pool table there and an internet connection point, sofas and books.
They have there own outside bar which is well shaded and has plenty of fans, it’s a sports bar so you can watch any type of sport you like. They have wonderful staff there that will make you feel at home.
There is a 10 percent discount also on drinks and food if you staying at the hotel. They also have there own restaurant called the Love Boat, said to be one of the best in Icmeler.
This also has a discount, and the staff are all dressed as sailors in white, very nice. The food is amazing. The staff are great too.
There is one downside and that’s the size of the pool which is extremely small, but right next to the bar so no big loss there then.
An excellent hotel please try it you won’t be disappointed.

Me & my partner came to The Devamli hotel in July 2011. We were absolutely stunned at how lovely & clean the hotel was and the staff were all so freindly and cheery and extremely helpful at all times. Air con worked fine & was well needed at night time. After 12pm all the music stops in the surrounding area so it is nice & quiet from 12pm. We enjoyed going for a meal at night and you also have the choice of having a nice quiet drink afterwards or if you would like a bit of entertainment instead then this is the place to be. It is brilliant for couples & families who want a nice relaxing holiday. The house maids made love heart shapes out of our bathroom towels which we thought was a lovely touch! We couln't have faulted anyting. We would deffinately this hotel.
