Holiday Inn Paris La Villette Hotel

we stayed in the holiday inn "la villette" hotel at the weekend and had a very good stay. the hotel was very clean, the food was very good and the location even if a little out of the center of paris was good as it is right next to the metro, which leads you to the main station in less than 10 minutes and from where you can take further connections. I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone, booking in advance on internet for the best rates!

If you need to stay in the Port La Villette/Cite de Sciences region, this is a good choice for your hotel. It is just accorss the street from the park and the museums, and about a 10 min walk across the park to the main science musuem and convention center. Stayed with Globus Tour. Very helpful and friendly staff. Only one minute from Metro. Rooms were clean and neat unlike last reviewer. My only complaint was breakfast. Our tour group shared a eating room with other groups and it got rather crowded at times. The staff had trouble keeping up with the demand. I would stay again.

My stay in this hotel was shocking. I stayed as part of a group and was greatfull to be in europe. However, this hotel was dirty and nasty smelling. The lobby was well taken care of which is a facade for the rest of it. 1. The bedsheets were smelly and seemed that they were very dusty as well as moist and with mildew. 2. The bathrooms were dirty with dirty tiles, groupt, bathtub, toilet, just about everything. 3. The windows were nasty and have not been cleaned in a while. 4. We stayed at the Holiday Inn La Villette and found it to be a respectable upscale hotel, with wonderful staff and great amenities. It is close to the Metro and eateries. We would highly recommend to everyone!

This Holiday Inn is located in the Northeast section of metro Paris. This is a residental & business area for Parisians and not a tourist area. It is directly across the street from the "Cite de la Musique", which makes it a great location if your primary visit is around music and concerts. Very nice hotel, clean and pleasant. Metro station 200 yds . (1/2 hr from Paris center) Easy access by car from ring road. Car park across the road or within hotel. Good value for a 4 star hotel. Excellent breakfast. Staff very helpful. Highly recommended.

This hotel provides a good, inexpensive base from which to visit central Paris. We had looked at hotels more in the centre, but the prices were horrendous ! Being situated less than 100m from Porte de Pantin metro station, I recommend that you buy a Paris Visite travel card, which will cover all your metro or bus requirments for the duration of your stay. I've stayed here four times in the last three years. If you want a cheap (assuming no big events are happening at the convention centre across the road) yet modern four star hotel, this is for you. La Villette is not that central, but its only four metro stops from the Eurostar terminal and the metro entrance is outside the hotels front door. We stayed here in 2002 as it was a good price for a 4 star on the holiday inn website. The hotel was ok. I have no serious complaints. Its in a rather industrial area- not heavy industry but there are lots of conference facilities in the vicinity. It is in a modern building with no character. The room we had was nice but very standard of a holiday inn. The breakfast was nice too, but I think most people who come to paris want to stay in a place with abit of character and preferably more centrally located than this one. We would stay here... more
