Accomodations Nightmare! HI Garden Court - Elysee on 24 RUE DE MIROMESNIL, 75008 Paris, France. DO NOT RECOMMEND. On 29April, 2005 we checked into HI Garden Court Elysee which did not have the facilities listed operating. Individual Air Conditioning was suppose to be in every room, but it was blowing hot air. Front Desk said there was nothing wrong with the air conditioning, it was just blowing hot air. This hotel is a bargain! I stayed at 2 different hotels while in Paris - this one and another much more expensive hotel. In my opinion, this hotel was great! The location is great! Only a 5-10 minutes walk to everything. There is also a Metro stop a block from the hotel. The Metro can get you anywhere! The rooms are small but it is Europe! Stayed here for a long weekend in May 2004. Overall, I had a very pleasant but unamazing experience with the hotel. First the positives. The best thing about the hotel is the location, it is 2 minutes from the Miromesnil metro station and a 5-10 minute walk from the Champs Elysee. The rate is also very reasonable (€115 per night through the hotel website). It was clean and comfortable (but also very basic). Stayed here in March 2004. Nice accommodation - we had a small/medium sized room with a lovely bathroom. It looked onto the street and it did get noisy from about 8am. Breakfast was the usual continental buffet - definitely not worth 13 euro pp but if you can get it included in the room rate it's fine. The area is good and very close to the metro station Miromesnil. It is not a main metro line so you will have to change to visit the major sites - this is not a problem though. Excellent choice for your vacation in Paris. I had a great offer for this hotel during Easter by hrs.com for only 92.00 Euros (incl.2 Euros/night fees in France). Nice and very clean rooms, very nice bathroom. People are nice and hospitable. Breakfast variety is more than adequate. The hotel is very close to metro station and actually it is in a very expensive neighbourhood (nearby street Faubourg-St.Honore is the home of President, US Embassador, etc). I have just returned after a short break in Paris and found this hotel to be great. Rooms are a decent size, not huge, but the best I have found in Paris in the price range. Usual buffet continental breakfast, with plenty of food. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and could speak excellent English. The best thing about this hotel is its location, it is within easy walking distance to a lot of the big attractions and for the others there is a metro station 2 minutes walk away.

A fairly clean and nice place to stay. Yes, it is just a 10-minute walk to the Champs Elysees. The Metro station Miromesnil is only a block away. As a tourist this is the most convenient aspect. You can visit any of the tourist spots by taking the Metro. The staff, though only a handful - I asked for an iron and the front desk asked if I would come down and pick it up, are courteous and friendly, English speaking and helpful. My sister and I just returned from Paris. We enjoyed our stay at the Paris Elysees. We also booked on the web site. They had rates as low as 100 Euro a night. Our rate $115 Euro included breakfast. Breakfast was the basics and nothing fancy, but still very filling. Like the previous reviewer we found our room small but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom has a very modern IKEA look.For us it was a great location, we walked to most of the major sites including the Eiffel Tower and Louvre about 30 minutes. No real complaints. My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our trip to Paris in March of 03. The Hotel had just been renovated and looked great. Our room was a bit small(but you are in Paris) but other than that is was beautiful. We had 2 huge windows overlooking the street and the bathroom was huge. It has a great modern look and was a great place to rest your head after a day of site-seeing. The hotel itself is about a 15 minute walk from the Champs but there is a subway stop within 2 minutes. The only bad thing is that the hotel is kind of in a business... more
