Tuvana Hotel

We stayed two nights at this wonderful hotel and it was one of the true highlights of our three-week trip to Turkey. I agree with much of what has been said in other reviews: Nermin Sumer is the "hostess with the mostest" in every sense of the word. Her devotion to customer service goes well above and beyond. A case in point: When one of our party asked if the main museum in town had wheel chairs, Nermin said she would find out. Even though we just fitted in a week's stay this time, the experience was great again. The hotel is in the old part of Antalya and we were amazed at how quickly works have been undertaken to both maintain and enhance the whole Kaleici experience - you could be miles from anywhere and you certainly wouldn't think you were in the heart of a modern vibrant city! Tuvana Hotel is a rare and wonderful hotel set in the heart of the old city in Antalya. The first word that comes to mind to describe it is "jewel". Besides the superb location, the staff in this hotel is incredible. Never did I want for anything-- they really bend over backwards to make sure you have a great visit. I stayed here right before I departed for the Lycian Way, a 309 mile\516 km trek from Antalya to Fethiye. This Hotel is as advertised an 'Antique' and is a bit tired in places. The beds are very comfortable, possibly the best I have used in a Hotel. The shower was great also but small things like missing sink plug, dirty grout, socket hanging out of the wall and worn out rugs let the look down a bit. All this said if you can be bothered complaining about these things I am sure the helpfull staff would sort it. We chose to go with the half board option which was a mistake. I have just returned after my last visit at Tuvana Hotel in Antalya. As usual, the overall experience was great, thanks to the management and staff. My first visit to this hotel was in 1997, and I have not found any reason for changing hotel in Antalya.

I stayed 4 nights and had a great time there! The room was rather simple but very comfortable with air-conditioning and very clean bathroom. The view from the room was also great. Hotel staff were all friendly and attentive. The food is excellent with a very nice traditional menu. I really recommend this hotel.

This is one hotel gem in Old Antalya. After arriving from traveling many hours, the hotel kindly sent someone for me and took care of returning my car rental on my behalf - This is service!! Very nice welcoming by Nermin Sumer and partner -good conversation and drinks after a long day. The room was very nice, comfortable luxury bed and bathrooms. Food is absolutely excellent. While still Turkish food the flavors and presentation of the food is at very high quality standards. So if you go stay for dinner here! No need to dine... more

Every aspect of my experience with the Tuvana Hotel was delightful, personal and with personality. From setting up the reservation, through having my luggage lost and finding my hostess the charming Nermin Sumer has a very good friend at Turkish Airlines and she makes sure that I get my bag that evening. The rooms are lovely, the bath supplies superior, the whole property as well. I would highly recommend it.

Hotel Very good hotel with clean, ornately decorated rooms. Good size swimming pool set in a lovely semi tropical garden. Lots of room to either sit in the shade or lounge by the pool in the sun. Evening food was excellent and well worth booking half board, the 4 course menu was different every night of our 7 night stay. Staff Pleasant and helpful staff who always had a smile. We had a 5 day stay at the Tuvana where every request is was met with 'no problem' or 'of course'. Great traditional menu.
