Dedeman Antalya Hotel Reviews
" Having stayed at this hotel in 2004 I... "

Having stayed at this hotel in 2004 I was more than happy to return. Delighted to see that a refurbishment programme had started and was almost complete. (only floors 2 and 3 yet to be completed). Previously this hotel was frequented by many English tour companies but it was quite noticeable that this time it was predominately foreign tourists. That is not to say it was a disadvantage to us as having previously stayed I knew the location. A first timer might struggle if wishing to adventure outside.
Hotel location could not be better and particularly a sea view room will give fantastic sunsets over the Med. However depending on the location of the room you could be disturbed by the late night disco (until 0430 hrs). This is a shame as it is also owned (seemingly) by the Dedeman.
Dining facilities were also excellent - maybe down to the restausrant manager - of English descent he always produced a wide and varied menu whilst also managing the staff with a firm jovial manner.
Local shopping could be found around the hotel. Even M & S store. Further afield I would recommend the "Migros" or "Deppo" shopping complexes whis are large and air conditioned. Taxi is the easiest transport to these and not over expensive. (just over 20TL - approx £10).
A must in Turkey is the Turkish bath. Highly recommend the Lara "Hamami". Lara beach is also conveniently located just a 10 minute Dolma bus ride. For thos that do not wish to venture around much there is always the Dedeman Aqua Park next door whis is free to the hotel guests.
A relaxing holiday in very hot conditions ( over 40 each day) which I can recommend to everyone. Make sure you avail of the supermarket across the road for your supplies of water, milk, beer etc. This will make it even more enjoyable but you will have to covertly get them by the security at the entrance door. Prices within the hotel were far more expensive (at least 5/6 times higher).

Not sure why this hotel would receive bad reviews as this is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at. At the moment the rooms are a bit dated however they are refurbishing as we speak and I will go back next year to see the new and improved rooms, which are a fantastic size. The hotel is very central and is located next to the Dedeman Aqua Park which is free for the hotel guest. The hotel is also right next to the sea and has an area where you can dive off the cliffs. The view from our balcony was absolutely amazing and I am sad that I had to come back. The food was fantastic and I must say I really miss it. The staff were really friendly and informed us where to go shopping etc. The pool was fantastic, and spa facilities were great. The hotel is also next to a bowling alley and cinema and club so everything is at your doorstep so you should never get bored
This hotel really is fantastic and is so convenient and you will be blown away from the stunning views.
Loved it and would recommend it to everyone.

I don't understand why people would ever give this hotel a low rating! The food was great, the service was outstanding! At first I did not like my room due to being allocated next to building works, notified the employees and in no time i was a lovely room with beautiful sea view! I went on this holiday with my daughter for two weeks and there was alot to do.. where it is located next to a big shopping center, you cannot go wrong.. especially if your someone that loves shopping!!! Prices were cheap as well... Sea, sun, shopping, good food.. friendly employees.. what more do you want.. I rate this hotel outstanding!
" A party of us stayed here in October... "

A party of us stayed here in October 2007 - including my husband and myself for our wedding (which we didnt have at this hotel). The first room they gave us was not great so my husband got them to change it. Other guests for our wedding arrived after us and encountered problems from being given a key to a room where there were people sleeping - to appearing to not having a booking at all.
The prices in the bar and restaurant were over inflated, and the hotel staff were very strict about you bringing juice or anything in from outside (we just did it anyway).
I liked the pool areas and i really enjoyed the turkish bath and massage which i received from a very competent female therapist.
The breakfast was also good having lots to choose from, however the terrace outside was not always open and people were smoking inside which was awful - but i believe this is now illegal in turkey.
This hotel is in need of a refurbishment, it may have been a good hotel 10-15 years ago.

Arrive at the hotel at 1am. The receptionist did not welcome us with a smile rather he suggested that we did not have a booking. Finally got that sorted and went to our room. We were really excited to explore the hotel with its facilities and were looking forward to the entertainment.
In the evening we found that there was no entertainment whatsoever except a guy playing the piano. We though OK, this maybe just for today. We went out that night to see what we could find, there was absolutely nothing fun to do!!!
The next day we realised that there was no entertainment provided by the hotel. There was a nightclub, which you had to wait until 1.00am to go into. The nightclub had live Turkish music, which was OK but nit worth waiting for, there was nothing to keep us awake until then. Also, when in the nightclub you are charged £20 for two cokes with a few peanuts which you didn’t ask for.
The residents were mainly European who couldn’t speak English so we didn’t make any friends. Staff stay away from the customers and are very miserable. We were so bored we wanted to come home after the first two days.
The Turkish bath and massage were the only two hours which felt good.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, stay away unless you want to be bored. This holiday cost me the most and was the most rubbish holiday, all to blame on the hotel. I’d rather not go 5* if it is full of stuck up snobs who don’t want to or know how to have a laugh.

Advice: on the whole antalya is expensive
Activities: would recommend shakespears foods ok, beers ok, and the service is ok, but again expensive
Good for: City Breaks
