City Inn Westminster Hotel

Spent a good time researching hotels in london for a weekend trip and decide to try this hotel as it seemed to be "so modern" and also had very good reviews here. I normally stay with work so as I was paying wanted to try something else. Anyway we arrived in Pimlico tube stop and as it was late couldn't find the road the hotel was on so eneded up flagging down a cab. I had the opportunity to stay at the City Inn on two occasions in August. My first visit was from August 6th to August 9th. The room on the fifth floor was clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom was clean and well lit, all the toiletries provided were of very good quality. All the rooms have internet access, a compact stereo system, and an LCD TV with DVD player. We're not long back from an overnight stay at the City Inn. When we arrived everything was in order. The staff were helpful and we got our room almost on arrival (12pm) People had said that the rooms were quite small...but we were on the 9th floor-corner room and it was pretty big. There was a Flat panel TV, DVD player, and CD stereo as well as the usual mini bar etc all in all pretty modern. The bed was v v comfortable...... great place, very modern. Long walk to the tube. Food was expensive. Small rooms but clean. The people were very frindly and helpful. I am going to stay here when I return in November. I love how modern and new everything is, internet connection, plasma tv, eveything a techno geek needs!

Just returned from 1 night stay at City Inn. Small wait for check in but it was earlier than 2pm and this did not cause problem. Lovely room, COMFY bed, slept like a baby! Very nice bathrobes to relax in. Massive choice for breakfast which kept us going till mid-afternoon although slight queue for tables at 10.15am on weekend which I suppose is to be expected. I returned yesterday, 2 Aug 04, from five days in London. It was my 15 year old son's first visit overseas. We did it all! One of the things he brags most about is how nice the City Inn is and how friendly, polite, courteous the staff was. I agree. We left the hotel early in the morning and returned in the evening. It was a pleasure to return to the City Inn. I really cannot think of one thing that was not far more than satisfactory. My wife and I stayed at the City Inn for 8 nights , we had read the reviews on this web site and we were not dissapointed. A modern, clean hotel the room was a decent size and the bathroom clean with excellent shower. Great location, quiet, we will stay there again

As soon as we walked into our room we knew we would enjoy our stay just with the fresh clean smell that instantly hit us. The room was light and airy. I only wish I could package the smell that greeted us. Everything was perfect, right down to the soap. The bed was beautifully aired, the room was very clean and the bathroom sparkled. I could go on and on. To top it all off, the location was lovely, it was just out of the way of the traffic, but nice to be located in Westminster and nice to be tucked away in a quiet road. Just got back from 3 nights at the City Inn. Nice property in a quiet neighborhood. Friendly, helpful, quick hotel staff. Small room, but they manage to cleverly fit everything you need into it, except for closet/drawer space. Flat panel TV, DVD player, and CD stereo were a nice touch, as were the coffee/tea makings complete with real milk in the fridge. Bathroom was ultra-small, but the Power Shower helped make up for it. We only stopped for one night, but our experience was wonderful from start to finish. Prompt attention to our luggage, fast lifts (necessary when you are on the tenth floor), scary view from the windows upon leaving the lift! Our porter described every feature of the room, explaining the free DVD and CD library. Everything was smart and clean. King sized bed, LCD TV, fluffy towels and large bath robes.
