Good central location. A ten minute walk to Buckingham Palace, a short taxi ride to Covent Garden, Harrods, Theatreland etc or you can walk which we did as the weather was good.
We booked executive rooms within the hotel which offers you some extras like dressing gowns (hard), slippers, fruit - 2 apples (for a room with 3 occupants), water - 1 bottle, free toiletries and access to an executive room for afternoon tea/coffee and pre theatre drinks which are all included in the room price.
The room itself (this is my second stay here) are very similar to a Travel Inn room but with a bigger brighter bathroom. The room does have an iron and hairdryer available so you don't have to request one from reception. The killer for me was the pillows solid lumpy things, we requested more pillows and we received more lumpy pillows. Traffic can be noisy outside if you leave the windows open.
Breakfast was served in the executive room. Avoided the scrambled egg it looked yuk! Overall we enjoyed our stay and will probably book here again if we have space in our case for our own pillows.

We booked our trip to Amsterdam direct through P & O ferries, we sailed from Hull to Rotterdam overnight on the Pride of Hull ship. The entertainment on the boat was fairly average both ways but the food as always was exceptional, when you book a mini cruise through P and O they also include coach transfers to and from Amsterdam so there is no worries about that, the coach drops you at a central point in Amsterdam which luckily for us was more or less opposite the hotel we was booked in at , this also was just at the bottom of the main strip in Amsterdam near the attractions e.g., sex museum pubs and bars ect. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy, marble floors in the reception and the room we stayed in were a spacious double, the view wasn’t too cracking but who goes to look out of their windows all day. All the facilities worked in the bathroom ECT. There is a bar near to the reception that serves a wide range of drinks hot and cold. The only down fall I thought about the hotel was the breakfast, mainly it was just too continental, when its says English breakfast u expect 'English' breakfast. The milk was warm to put on your cornflakes ECT, and ill not mention the sausages... lol. All in all the hotel is a winner and would def book there again if I was to visit Amsterdam.
