We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and the room was always much colder than the hallway, even when turning the heating to the maximum. It was simply not strong enough for January.
The bathroom did not have a heater to begin with, and when you're coming straight out of bed you may not feel like meeting the January cold in your bathroom. Also the stairway doors slammed noisily whenever used, which happened a lot because the elevator was out of order. We woke up a couple of times during the night. Finally, there were queues to be seated for breakfast, and service was extremely slow.
When we complained to a manager about this, an apology was all we got. It's a pity that a hotel with nice rooms (ours was a President King, others may be smaller) in this nice area is so poorly managed

We had booked this hotel for my Down Syndrome cousins 21st birthday.
We arrived on Good Friday, the staff quickly dealt with us, gave us upgrades on all rooms and gave my cousin and her mum the Penthouse suite overlooking the Thames.
I have nothing to complain about with this hotel definitely a 10/10 from us. The breakfast was 10/10 too.
One of the reception staff even came up to my cousins suite on the day we were going home to say goodbye as she was finishing her shift and wouldn't see us again.
I would definitely book this hotel again when returning to our Capital!
