I had originally booked a smoking room on-line, but when I arrived my reservation for a smoking room had not been noted.
Without any problem they upgraded me immediately to an Executive Suite.
I stay in a lot of hotels for my work and I must say, that this is one of the best I have visited.
The room was fabulous, kitted out with all mod cons and modern decor. The bathroom was sleek and modern too. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in!
The breakfast was outstanding. This was included in the room rate and not only did you get a full English breakfast, but a basket full of croissants, Danishes, yogurts, bread rolls and fruit. Nearly enough to last you all day!
I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely make this my number one choice, if staying in the Excel area again!

For a no frills budget hotel, it is really good value for money.
The rooms are set out in the standard format to all Holiday Inns with a modern styling and decor. They keep the rooms so clean and tidy. I would have no issues visiting this hotel again in the future and more than likely will be booked to stay again soon.
