I stayed at this hotel for a week and didn’t wait to leave. I read all of the negative comments on here and in the end started to wish that I hadn’t book this holiday but when I got there the negative comments on here were proved to be totally wrong.
Apartment-
The apartment me and my boyfriend had was on a corner and it was huge and very private. The walls were not paper thin as other people have said they were on here. The balcony was an excellent size and it look out to the beach. The apartment was also very clean- after reading the comments on here I took a load of cleaning stuff and never used it once.
Restaurant-
I don't like most of food and am a very picky eater there was not every night I could have a meal here although my boyfriend always found something he enjoyed. The breakfast in the morning had a wide range of food so there was something for everyone. The food is changed regularly and is always kept hot. The restaurant staff are very friendly and clear away your plate as soon as you have finished but don’t stand over you and wait for you to finish. You have to buy your drinks with your meal on an evening but they are very decently priced.
Pool-
I didn't use the pool so I can't really comment on this as I didn’t want to have to wake up early and wrestle for a sun bed so I found it much easier to walk to the beach (on the left just before the nights in pub) and get a tan there. If you ask at reception you can also use the Jacuzzis for free, you can also sunbathe there.
Area-
This hotel is not in the main part of salou it is just outside but however is only a bus ride away, this will cost you about 1euro 30 each. There is a hotel right next door to this hotel if you are self catering which does amazing food. Also if you walk down to the nights in and walk left and follow the road along you will come across a few restaurants and supermarkets.
I had an excellent holiday and would definitely go back. This hotel is definitely a 4 star!

Hotel is fine, nice and clean staff are great! But the sun beds are a big problem people fighting over them all day mind you when you get people jumping the fence putting about 6 towels on beds then going out for the day!
It’s just too much for any one when you’re on the floor! The bar staff are very slow with your drinks and even slower when trying to get your change of them! They have a problem with change or should I say short change make sure you check it ?
The food is not bad, the location of the hotel was a problem for some people I spoke to but I thought it very good bus stop right out side, having said all that I would go back.

We had a fantastic time at the Mediterranean village hotel superb staff very helpful.
The room we had was spotless, plenty room for four adults, separate bedroom, a couch with a single bed underneath, big balcony overlooking the pool.
Entertainment - First class, the shows were terrific.
If you go self catering there is one restaurant we recommend is the Cap Salou restaurant, you can get a main meal from the British menu for 7.95 Euros a get a free soft drink a child for 4.oo Euros.
We went to Barcelona zoo with the tour operators we had a fantastic time. The tour guide on the bus she was brilliant she told us everything we want to know.
Buses from the hotel you have to buy a ticket between 9am and 1 pm you get your ticket at the top of the hill.
The only thing we had to wait for was our card for our room, you don’t get that until 2pm we arrived at 12noon but we still could check in.
Overall the holiday was fantastic, it was so good we have booked for next year.

Very nice hotel in quiet area of Cap Salou (not in Salou centre). Easily accessible by bus to Salou and Port Aventura. Only a few minutes from several small beaches.
Hotel facilities very good - room not overly large but sufficient. Food good - always plenty of choice. Staff very friendly.
All holidaymakers in hotel were British which may or may not be what you are looking for.
Only downside - hotel need to enforce their policy that loungers cannot be reserved. By 9.00am each day, even though the pools were virtually empty, every single lounger had a towel on it with some guests not turning up until 2.00-3.00pm.
Otherwise a great holiday hotel.

An excellent hotel with facilities to fully satisfy the family, the entertainment staff were very friendly and extremely good with the kids.
The accommodation was satisfactory and provided the essentials for a self-catering holiday.
Adult shows of an evening were enjoyable and varied. Above all a very enjoyable time.
The only down side to the holiday was a series of thefts from hotel rooms mainly around the fourth floor, we had two occasions of theft from our room alone. Hotel manager and her staff were totally unsupportive.
Salou itself was very accessible by public transport and catered well for self catering families, however as mentioned by other holiday makers, there is a lack of culture to Salou and everything and everywhere is so commercialised.
Despite a serious amount of thefts, this was an enjoyable and value for money holiday.

Reading some of the reviews for the H10 I thought I would submit a little something as I have been there twice and have booked up again to go next year 2008.
The first year we were there was May 2004 and can only say the holiday was absolutely brilliant. The hotel you couldn’t fault in the least. Excellent entertainment for kids and adults.
Can’t comment much on the food as we were self catering and didn’t eat in the hotel.
The rooms were spotless and the reception were always there to help when you needed it.
The 2nd time we went was June 2006 and was another excellent holiday although I was a little disappointed with the amount of times we got clean towels, etc. I had to ask on several occasions for clean ones.
The room wasn’t as clean as the first time as I thought the shower curtains were dirty and once you ran the shower there was an awful smell.
The entertainment then again was 2nd to none. They were brilliant I thought as I have 2 small children. I haven’t been put off this hotel in the slightest as I am now booked up again to go back on June 2008 same place same hotel.
I am so looking forward to going again and so are my kids who are 8 and 5. I would recommend this hotel and I have seen lots of hotels over there but still wouldn’t go by the H10 in Cap Salou. Excellent hotel.

My wife and I have just yesterday returned from the Mediterranean Village Hotel, and what a fantastic week we had, a complete week of sunshine.
The hotel was without doubt excellent, our room was lovely and spacious, with an L shaped balcony which was also large, all towels and bed linen were changed each day.
The staff were so helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them, the dining room staff were superb and very attentive to your needs.
And with regard to the choice of food in the dining room, that could not be faulted.
Overall an excellent holiday, value for money, and we hope to return to the same hotel in the not too distant future.

Just returned from H10 Meditteranean Village, excellent resort, good food, clean 3 pools, staff friendly and helpful. Good resort for children especially under ten years old.
No complaints about the resort, but large complaints about the so called jeep safari, great perhaps for eighteen to thirty and you are happy to race across rough terrain with a bunch of idiots shooting water pistols at you and your family whilst trying to rip you off for every euro they can, fine if you like to shepherded around and rushed from pillar to post like school children by a bunch of drivers who know little to nothing about spain or its culture and fine if you want your children to witness the unwelcome sexual innuendo from male drivers towards female customers through out the trip. This trip is not suitable for children, is barely suitable for adults and is inconsiderate in how it is managed.

What can I say this was a fantastic holiday I went with my husband and 2 boys age 5 and 10. This was all of our first time abroad and we had a ball.
Yes the hotel rooms are a little small for 4 but at the end of the day it is somewhere just to sleep, very clean, done by maids every day.
All staff are very friendly and those that are complaining about food I suggest you stay in this country for pie and chips!
My husband is a chef and he is the hardest person to please and he put on a stone in weight, my eldest boy has to have a gluten free diet and they went out of there way every time to show him what was safe for him to eat. He had a good choice of around 6 or 7 dishes a night. He loved it. We have trouble eating out in this country so you can image our relief to be so well looked after.
Kids club absolutely fantastic the staff were fantastic with the children ours didn’t want to come home. Roof top fantastic place to relax when kids are at kid’s club.
Nights very good, take a relaxing walk into village for kiddie’s rides and cheap beer then come to the hotel for a night of fun something on every night.
We didn’t go in to main Salou on a night wanted to avoid large groups of drinkers (hens and stags ect)nice for shopping but wouldn’t want to stay in any of the hotels all looked dirty and on top of each other.
If you want a warm clean relaxing holiday but want to be able to get to the hustle and then leave it behind for peace and quiet, then this is the place to be.
Yes as people have said you can’t get in till 2 but if you stay in this country i.e. Butlins or Haven holidays you can’t get in till 4 so it nothing to moan at .
We was in our room for 2.15, check in very quick at pool for 3 fantastic. I will definitely be going back what’s left to say all of it was fantastic missing the place and wish we was all back instead of rainy England hope this helps and enjoy your H10 experience because we did!!

I wasn’t really lucking forward to my holiday that much because I was going with my dad and little sister, but as soon as I walked through the doors at reception I knew it was going to be an amazing holiday!
Straight away you walked through the reception and you so a beautiful fountain which I later found out ran down from the pool. There was 2 outdoor pools both of which were quite warm but were a good way to cool down after sun bathing.
Every day except Sunday there is plenty of entertainment on for example I joined in with rifle shooting and archery. These activities are organised by the entertainment staff which are all very nice! You could have such a laugh with them.
They invited me out for a drink with them every night! We went down to the crow’s nest in cap Salou where it was very lively and it played very good music. There was also a variety of restaurants and bars including a karaoke bar where most British people go!
There was plenty of things for my little sister to do and plenty of things for me! I met so many people my age and everyone was really nice!
I’ve kept in contact with some of the entertainment staff as we made really good friends and they even looked after me when I'd had a few too many drinks!
I will definitely be going back in the future as I enjoyed my stay there so much you are made to feel very welcome and the staff in the hotel will do anything to help you out!
Everything you need is in the hotel it really is like a village - there’s even a hairdressers!
The phones in the hotel are really cheap I phoned my friend at home for 15 minutes and it cost me 1 euro!
Everything was extremely clean toilets were cleaned on a regular basis everyday! And the pool was cleaned out every night!
The rooms were cleaned everyday by the maid! The beds were extremely comfy especially when you need a good night sleep because you have been into the busy town of Salou! (Make sure you go one night because the clubs and bars are amazing and food is really nice as well).
The weather was extremely warm so I burnt very easily, but this problem was easily sorted because there was a supermarket on the grounds which sold all essentials including sun cream, so I came home with a brilliant tan!
Over all it was a brilliant holiday one that I will never forget!
Time flew by so fast because there was so many different things you could do! It has left a lasting impression on me!

We went with some of my wife’s family, end of June 2007. I really can’t fault the place, really clean, good food, beer prices compared to Ireland were excellent.
I've been around to a few different locations over the years and this has to be the best holiday we have ever had.
Entertainment for the kids from early to late and also for the adults, has to be hard to beat, weather was excellent, were home now and it’s raining as usual, if only I was a rich man.
Well thanks to all and I will be going back as soon as I possibly can.

Hi, just got around to writing this review. We were party of 6. 3 adults one kiddie and two teenagers.
Rooms were superb, top floor pool view was really impressed. Before going I read a few reviews on H10 med, but to be perfectly honest the things getting moaned about were a joke, the place is brilliant.
I myself do not like too much noise but this place was not at all like some mentioned.
Plenty for kids to do, plenty for adults. The drinks were a little costly in bar but to be expected. If you feel too dear then go to a nearby bar or into Salou itself, buses are really cheap and very frequent drop you right at the hotel door too.
Beaches nearby are all excellent, local people are friendly, Aquapolis has got to be a must for anyone, kids love it as do adults.
Theme park is great too even though I have been there 3 years running, the shows are amazing.
I have been to different Spanish resorts and this beats them all, the beaches and water are so clean and good for kids too.
We always eat out so I cannot comment on hotel food but a friend stayed half board and he said it was excellent.
You also get free safe box which is ideal and easy to use. People complained about the 2 pm time for getting room, well if you read your operators notes you will see it explains all that. So when you go you can be prepared and just drop your bags and go beach or like us we went for a delicious steak at don ponchos, just outside the hotel.
I could go on forever about this and that but don’t have time, one more thing the deposit for hotel rooms, well on our last day we opened our large mirror doors and it fell out, we thought for sure we would lose deposit but no staff could not apologise enough and was no mention of any loss of deposit. It was fixed before we left the room an hour later.
Great place, great people, great beer... what more does a man need?

I am just back from 2 weeks at the H10 in Cap Salou. I will try to give you as balanced a view as possible and would say for starters that I read these reviews before I booked and most of them are good reviews, but my experience with the hotel did not merit such a high mark. Here's why:
- The person previously who said you won't get any sleep for the noise was correct. The walls are paper thin - so much so that I could actually hear the person through the wall snoring! I could hear the people (word for word) in the next apartment (the other way) and I could constantly (all times of day and night) hear furniture being moved and chairs being scraped along the floor!!
Also if you are at the side or front of the hotel you'll hear the bin men coming during the night (don't ask!!)
- On check-in (beware) - you can't check in until 2pm and, at that, the queues for this hotel are very long (to give you an idea we were told that about 3000 people had come and gone to and from the H10 apartments in the 2 weeks we were there).
- Don't expect any culture from your trip to the H10 (or Cap Salou for that matter), the rest of the hotel are British too and all the staff talk English!! Don't get me wrong - this can be great if you have kids (your kids make friends and play better) etc.
- The entertainment is quite good actually if you are below the age of 11. Otherwise, avoid it! I will however praise the entertainment staff because they did really get the kids going.
We took our 15 month old - so there was no real entertainment for her (understandably) but I heard others with teenage kids wishing they had gone elsewhere. This age group will be severely limited and of course you are a good 20 mins walk from Salou where the real entertainment for that age group can be found.
If you have booked already and you are reading this let me say that we walked along the beach front most days to Salou (its quicker to walk than take the bus - believe it or not - the bus takes a contrived route).
Salou has loads to do and our 9 and 7 yr old nephews just loved the games halls and the restaurants along the promenade. You can also walk to La Pineda. It's slightly further - about 35 mins walk in the opposite direction from Salou. It's a lot bigger than Cap Salou and has a quite good (although expensive) Water Park right on the beach front.
Of course Port Aventura is really near as well and a quick ride on the bus (get your bus ticket from a booth first) takes you door to door. Make sure you go on the new ride - Furious Baco - but don't if you have any sort of heart condition!!
Basically, would I go back to the H10 - no! If I were to go again, I would stay in Salou itself. It’s really lively at night but we saw some lovely hotels in amongst the shops, restaurants and pubs. Cap Salou has about 5 restaurants and they only open at around 6.30pm so watch out for feeding young kids - ours was starving by the time the restaurants were open!!
Hope this helps. Reasonable location for a fun filled holiday but H10 was a real disappointment.

I checked this hotel out on Holiday Uncovered and was impressed with the reviews and we were not disappointed. We had a good holiday; the hotel was very clean and pleasant to walk through.
The staff seemed very pleasant and were very helpful when we needed them.
We didn't actually do any of the day or night entertainment that was provided, but from what I can tell there was plenty going on. The music goes off at 11pm, but there is a bar on site that stays open until 2am.
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, which gave you good amount of space. There is plenty of cupboard space in the bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. Disappointed with the fridge as it only had a tiny freezer section (just enough for some ice cubes).
The cleaning of the apartment was very good; we had our sheets changed four times in two weeks and the towels about every three days.
The onsite supermarket is ok, but if you can take tinned meats (stewed steak or mince etc) with you might be a help as the choice for self catering food is quite limited as you do not have an oven.
My son (5 years old) used the Daisy Club on site and had a great time, there is a large outdoor section for them and then an indoor area for table top things, and it is all enclosed in a safe environment. Next to it is a 5 aside football area all enclosed again which was very popular with all the boys.
The swimming pools are clean but very cold when we went (May) but there is an indoor pool where you have to wear a cap, you can buy them from Reception (which was never very busy so it was great) plus on the roof of the main building there is two whirl pools, you have to get a door key to access it off Reception as they only let so many at a time go up there. It's like a little haven away from everyone.
Regarding the restaurant we only went once for the Oriental Night but we weren't that impressed (not what we would call Chinese Buffet).
The buses into the surrounding areas are very frequent so no worries there and the bus stop is just by the hotel. La Pienda (20 mins) and Salou (25 mins) are within walking
distance.
Cap Salou it's is quite small, there is several bars and restaurants and a small amusement area for the children. But as the surrounding areas are not that far away it is easy to go into Salou for a few hours (buses are 24 hours a day).
If you are thinking of going to Port Aventura buy your tickets before you go. We got a 14 days pass for £39 (adult) £32 (child).
Have a good time.

Just got back from this hotel and I can’t believe everyone is raving about it, as most people I spoke to was disappointed.
When getting there the rooms was nothing like what they are on the internet, they was well to small and you had to pay for fridges they was clean but grotty. Self catering looked a lot more spacious than half board rooms.
Then when asking to be moved the reps didn’t want to know and this was their attitude right the way through the holiday, they wasn’t helpful what so ever. Lot of people commented on this.
The food wasn’t up to much we only had a few good meals while being there, as we took two children with us there wasn’t much to eat.
The entertainment wasn’t bad but not for older kids we had to get taxis in to Salou centre which was better.
