We took 3 kids and ourselves and had a ball.
The room was great plenty of room and beds for all, the hotel staff and the entertainment team where just perfect.
Our youngest went to daisy club every chance she had and loved it all. The older two enjoyed the pool and internet room.
Cap Salou is literally 200yrds away and has Mickeys the cheapest bar with the biggest doubles every night.
Also the food options in cap Salou and Salou itself are great. Highly recommend this hotel for families there’s plenty to do and plenty of places to go.
Portaventura is massive and easily accessible. All together a brilliant holiday.

We have been to Salou before in September 2006. And we loved it. But this year was rubbish.
We went to the Mediterranean Village is Cap Salou. It got 4 stars. I disagree 1 star maybe 4 star no chance. The entertainment was rubbish and loud. We was up in the rooms above the mini market.
The staff was never about the only place they cleaned in the room was the bath room. I dropped something on the floor in the bedroom and had to go under the bed, OMG what a mess. Lollies that had melted all over the place and I’m talking candy lollies. The dust and mess was bad but what you expect they didn’t clean the rooms, only the bathroom. The food was nice for the 1st 2 days but it was show cos it went downhill after that.
We had food out...the staff and management was not very helpful maybe cos none could speak English. The security people only did they job when we complained about some young lads 15/16year olds throwing glass bottles food and other stuff in the top pool.
We where there for a week and 4 days out of that week the top pool was closed on the 4th day we asked why, the management said its closed cos it’s raining? It what answer is that.
The only good thing was it was warm over cast but warm so if it was raining or not the kids would have loved the pool.
The best part of the holiday was going into Salou the main shopping centre the people there where lovely and friendly. Even the reps in Cap Salou didn’t give a hoot. Very ignorant.
Then you go to the 1st meeting and all they talk about is the trips you can’t tell you rep anything about the problems that you have, cos they were not interested. When we got there we got out of the bus at 10am+ and was not allowed into our rooms till gone 2pm.
We reported to our rep a few times that there was no sign on the glass doors in our rooms she said she would sort it. And still nothing was done.
So overall cap Salou Med village should be a 1 star not a 4, because it don’t deserve to be a 4. I had been in better in 2006, 101% better!

The rooms looked tidy, until you looked under bed, enough dust and rubbish. Looks like it the beds have never been moved.
No sticker on sliding windows, dangerous when we had 4 children with us one age 1 years.
Pool closed for 4 days because children i.e. youngsters went to toilet in there. Smashed bottles in there and threw food in there.
Was there a week, arrived at 10am could NOT go to room until gone 2pm, lifts always vandalized by children.
No trolleys to help you to your rooms with your cases. Supposed to be 4 star would not give it 1.
And would not advise anyone to go there.

This complex is rated 4 star, after spending 7 days there with my wife, daughter her partner and our 4 grandchildren I would rate it as minus 3, as it lost one star every day we were there.
The pool was closed for 3 of the seven days, due to vandalism, which we made the reps aware after on the first night. We seen some youths throwing chips in the pool, and when I tackled them, security accused me of causing trouble, although they had witnessed the same as myself.
We had no "Markings" on our patio doors to identify glass. We asked about this on our second day, and the rep denied on the bus back to the airport that we had spoken to her.
Young louts were allowed to intimidate the people in the early hours, and were unchecked by security.
Overall, what should have been a family holiday ended up with the security guards calling the police on myself at 0200hrs as I told them they were a load of crap, and were aiding in the lack of enjoyment by decent people.
Youths were allowed drinks from the Celtic Bar unchecked, this stays open until 0200hrs
with all the consequences of drunken behaviour then spilling out.
This is not so much a holiday from hell, but a living hell for seven days for which no-one, would take control.
I would not recommend this complex for a family holiday. I for one would not return.

Me and 3 of my friends (all 18) stayed in the Med Village from 2nd to 16th of September and had a fantastic time.
Room-
We had a self-catering apartment on the 6th floor of block B, sleeps 6 but as there were only 4 of us was a perfect size any more and we would have been a bit squashed. Kitchen consists of a sink, fridge 2 ringed hob, toaster and microwave perfect for 4 teenagers. We had 2 double beds in one room and 2 singles in another. Large living area, large balcony and a good sized bathroom with both bath and shower facilities, toilet, sink and even a bidet. Maids clean almost everyday (regardless of whether you are in the room of not) but they always knock and ask before entering.
Entertainment -
Although we never actually stayed in the hotel for the entertainment it always seemed to be in full swing but very quickly quietens down around midnight. Seemed perfect for those with children and those who didn't want to venture out of the hotel at night. There is a wide range of trips to go on including a Jeep Safari which is a brilliant day out even if you do get a bit messy but well worth the money. There is a Party night on a Tuesday perfect for families including a quiz and a mini disco for the kids. Also on a Tuesday there is a Pub Crawl filled with drink, drinking games and then more drink, this only costs 5 Euros and you get a free shot in each of the 5 bars you go to. 5 bars 5 shots 5 Euros who can’t loose.
Hotel -
The hotel is always clean and tidy, same with the restaurant. If you are staying self-catering breakfast is 8 Euros and dinner is 12 but the choice is well worth it. Pool areas are always full of children with their parents and if you want a lounger you will have to get up pretty early (around 8ish) but once your towel is on it no-one will take it. There are 2 outdoor pools and an indoor. In the indoor pool you will have to wear a swimming cap which you can get at the reception. All of the reception staff speak excellent English and will be able to help with anything you need. You also get your key for jacuzzi at reception, they only give out a certain number of keys per day and they reprogramme the door everyday (so you won't be able to use the key the next day).
There is a Mini Market in the hotel which is just up the stairs from the adults pool. It stores tinned foods and super noodles, things like that, handy for a quick lunch or snack after a night on the town. The reps are fab and able to help you with anything you need and will book tickets for Caribbe, Port Aventura, Aquapollis and the wide range of trips they have available. The Reps desk is situated in Block B where there are also some computers with MSN and the internet -10 mins for 1 Euro. I would say that the hotel is 90% British and Irish and only the odd German or Dutch person. Which makes it easy to communicate with everyone.
Cap Salou -
There is not much of nightlife outside of the hotel in Cap Salou, nice restaurant about a 2 min walk from the hotel called Treasure Island. If you walk down the drive of the hotel and turn left up a slight hill there is the bus-stop which will take you into Salou, Cambrilles and up to Port Aventura. If you were to turn right at the end of the drive and cross the road outside the Knight’s Inn restaurant there is the bus-stop that will take you round to La Pineda and to Tarragona.
Salou-
There are alot of nice places to eat and drink in Salou and quite safe to walk around at night. All the taxi drivers have reasonable prices to get back to the hotel around 7 - 8 Euros from the taxi rank by the fountains at the beach front to the hotel. I would recommend Uncle Sams to eat, although you may wait a while for a table and your food when they are busy, which are most nights but it is well worth the wait. The portions are large and reasonably priced and you can take your meal away with you if you can’t finish it. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. You can find Uncle Sams just up from the roundabout in the Centre of the town, just ask any of the people handing out flyers for the bars they will be able to help although they will try to get you to go in their bar, just take their leaflet and tell them you will try it later and they will tend to let you go. I would also recommend Lunatics by the beach, they have a fabulous menu and again is reasonably priced. Just across from Lunatics is a great cocktail bar with music and a great atmosphere Drinks maybe a bit on the expensive side (10 euros for one) but you have to try them. Another great bar (if you like karaoke) is Idols (they call themselves Salous answer to Witherspoons) its just up from Uncle Sams and to the right fabulous resident DJ called Danny, who thinks my friend is stalking him we were in that often! Just watch what you are drinking as they tend to pour them a bit strong but you can get 2 cocktails for 8 euros which are really good and a bottle of alcopops is only 3.50 - 4 Euros. And if you go up with one of the girls handing out flyers you will get a free shot. But you get this in most bars if you go up with any of the folk handing out flyers.
Port Aventura -
We had a 14 day pass to Port Aventura which you can get from your travel agent for around £50 before you go. This is very good value for money as to pay at the door you will have to pay around 39 Euros for an adult to go in for one day. We went 5 days all in all but with the 14 day pass it means if you are stuck for something to do in the afternoon you can hop on the bus for 1.85 up to Port Aventura and go on a couple of rides and go home you don't need to go for the full day. There are 5 worlds in the park Mediterranea which has the new ride Furios Baco, which launches you to 135 km/h in 3 seconds and turns you upside down its the best ride in the park I would say. but you may be waiting up to 2 hours on a busy Saturday for it. If you go to the left and over the bridge the next world is Far West its main rides would be Stampedia which is fast and rather rickety and the Silver River Flumes which lasts about 3 mins but you could be waiting about an hour for it. I would recommend the Stunt show which is amazing and the Spanish man is hilarious. The next world is Mexico, its main rides are Templo del Fuego which is a show ride with fire which is mostly spoken in Spanish and Huricain Kondor which is a the Highest vertical drop ride in Europe. Next you have China its main ride is The Dragon Khan, very smooth you feel like you are sitting in a leather armchair and being turned upside down. The next world is Polynesia, it doesn't have any fantastic rides but the same as all the worlds. The smaller rides are pretty good I would say its main ride would be sea odyssey which is a simulator and is really good there is a Bird show which I would recommend. The birds fly around and a couple of the kids can go down to see the birds, again it is mostly in Spanish with very little English but enjoyable all the same. I would say a fantastic day out which you can enjoy again and again.
All in all I would say that this holiday has been amazing and I would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely go back.
I loved everything about this...

I loved everything about this hotel. At the start of my holiday we had abit of trouble with where we were in Salou, so with alot of moaning to our rep, we got moved to this spectacular hotel. Me and my family found it very luxurious and the best hotel resort we have been to in a long time.
The food was amazing, you could get anything you wanted there, and the bread was even fresh! They had a kid’s comer for the food, which was helpful for my little sister. The waiter/waitress was very pleasant and you would never catch them without a smile on there faces. The atmosphere of the dinning room was also delightful and was a pleasure to be in there.
When we first arrived we couldn’t wait to get up to our room. The rooms were very big, and the balcony was even bigger. We had a lovely view of the two awesome pools. The bathroom was amazing with no expense spared. It was fully kitted out in blue tiled walls and a gorgeous marble basin. The shower was very powerful.
After every long day you would get back and there was always clean, fresh bedding and towels, which I have found very rare in Spanish hotels. Of a night there was no need to go out, because the entertainment was brilliant. The only thing was it felt abit like Pontins when it came to the entertainment, it was always focused on the younger children. Don’t get me wrong, the entertainment team worked very hard and always made sure everyone was joining in with the activities of a day.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, families especially, because I know after this amazing one week holiday, we will definately be going back next year and the year after.

A very nice hotel with excellent friendly staff, just a shame about some of the guests.
The restaurant is nice and clean and food is good and plentiful. You just have to turn a blind eye to the eating habits of others who acted as if they hadn’t had a good meal for weeks. The language of some of the guests who were all British was disgusting. I think it was supposed to be English but with the F word after nearly every other word. Adults and children very rude and abrupt without a please or a thank you to the hard working waiters and bar staff.
If you are thinking of going to this hotel book self catering, then when you get there book half board, otherwise you will end up in a small hotel room instead of a self catering apartment.
Take plenty of anti-biotic with you as three of our party came back with ear infections, my 14 yr old son's infection was so bad he spent three nights in out local hospital. The doctors told us it was most probably picked up in the swimming pool.
Be at the poolside by at least 7:45am to claim your sun beds or I am afraid you will miss out, or do as some did and claim their sun beds first thing and then disappear for three or four hours.
Now I bet you are thinking this moaning old git didn't enjoy himself, well you would be wrong. I had a fantastic time with a great bunch of friends in a lovely efficient hotel with friendly and hard working staff.
Would I go back to the H10 Mediterranean Village Hotel again?...... No.

Myself and my partner (both 23) booked a late deal over the phone with direct holidays and ended up with a week in med village, Salou.
The hotel its self was a little too 'English and Irish' for our liking. The actual hotel itself was lovely, well maintained, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned once a day with fresh towels etc. Very pleased.
We were a little disappointed with the calibre of people there. There was no chance that we could have stayed around the pool all day, as others have said people reserved the sun beds from 7am and then disappeared till about midday. Bit pathetic we thought. We spend one morning there and we couldn’t fit in the pool for the amount of children and blow up things in the pool.
After our welcome meeting we discovered that there was roof top Jacuzzis, somewhere the reps said was strictly over 18s only. Bliss we thought. First afternoon up there was brilliant. Peace and quiet and wonderful views...only to be spoilt the rest of the time by spoilt children with balls that kept belting them over us.
This supposed relaxation area was no longer the haven we 1st thought! My partner even asked some children politely to stop kicking the ball in our direction (baring in mind they shouldn’t have been up here!) to be confronted by a family of 12 (Irish) arguing and being aggressive with us two!! Thankfully this was our last day!
Overall, holidays are the sort of thing you get out what you put in!
This type of holiday would be great for families, children and people who are not bothered about seeing the culture and cuisine of Spain!
We found that the parents that were there wanted to let there children run wild. At one point there were 5 children dancing on the pool table. And two three year olds swinging pool cues around to hit a child in the eye and me on my head.
Parents no where to be found. Well near the bar eventually. But you get my drift...bar and hotel staff seem very oblivious to tackling anyone on bad behaviour! Overall I wouldn’t recommend this for couples or people who like culture.

Just back. Hotel was well located in the quieter part of Salou. The hotel was spotless and clean towels were constantly provided for. Staff were very approachable.
The dining room was well managed by two staff members and the waitresses and the choice of food was excellent, especially with the gorgeous fruit display at breakfast.
The room probably was a bit small ok. Access to the smaller beach which was nice is easy.
The pools were well kept with lifeguards on duty. Only downside to the whole holiday was the arrogance of a lot of people when it came to the sun loungers. I was ashamed of people from my own country and their behaviour in trying to grab 14 - 16 beds at one time, and then not using them until the afternoon.
A fight actually broke out one morning which is pathetic to say the least. A better system, like the system for the meal times should be used. Form a queue and when asked to produce your room number, you will allocated beds according to the amount staying in that room, not beds for " your new found mates" who couldn’t be bothered to get up.
It is up to the hotel to sort this problem out as I feel it irate's many.
Other than that we had our best holiday to date here and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks.

We stayed here in July of this year. I would highly recommend this hotel to families.
The facilities are excellent, the staff are very pleasant and helpful, the rooms were clean and pleasant. My husband, daughter and I stayed here for 2 weeks half board, the food was fine but got a bit repetitive.
The location of this hotel is excellent. The theme park, water parks and neighbouring resorts are only a bus ride away, the buses are right outside the hotel and come very frequently. The beach is within walking distance where different water activities are available.
The entertainment during the day for children is great and very well organised but the night time entertainment is not that great although the entertainment staff give it their all!
Would highly recommend H10 Mediterranean so much so we booked again for next year as it has everything you need for a great family holiday.

Just got back from Med Village. Hotel was lovely, you have to wait till 2 o’clock to check in. This wasn’t a problem for us as we arrived at 2.
The hotel has everything for families my children never got bored.
The food was ok, breakfast was lovely but evening meal wasn’t so nice, we eat out a lot in the night.
If you are half board the rooms are so small.
Overall the hotel was lovely didn’t think the entertainment was up to much. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked our holiday earlier this year, before reading the feedback. About a month before going I started reading feedback and was quite alarmed.
The ratings some people were giving were very poor. Luckily they were rubbish (In our eyes).
We got there late morning and had to wait to get our room, but were able to book in before hand and collect the room keys at 14:00HRS.
We dropped our cases off and went and got something to eat and weren't put out to much.
We got our room, which was a reasonable size, but could have been slightly bigger.
From than it was a fantastic holiday. There was entertainment from round 10:00hrs till 24:00hrs. Archery, air rifle shooting, water polo, etc and more for the kids.
There is a hotel entertainment team (not reps) and they did a brilliant job. We were involved most nights, as we are very open minded and are up for a laugh. Over the two weeks there was something different every night.
I can see where the people that say it is noisy are coming from, but this is a family resort. If you want a quiet holiday, don't go here, but the hotel shouldn't be marked down for that.
The food wasn't bad, but it depends on your taste. I am a fussy eater and I liked it.
Salou is a standard Spanish resort. Loads to do. You must go to Port Aventura which is an Outstanding Universal Studios resort.
The staff in the hotel are so friendly. The entertainment is run by Colatchy, who runs an outstanding staff of multinational entertainers.
The only thing I would criticise is where the hotel is. If you are an older person or are taking prams it is quite hilly.
The hotel is about 10 minutes from Salou centre by bus, but is a nice walk of around 20 minutes.
I would honestly go back to this hotel. If you are going ask for Sebastian (waiter).
One thing I will say is try to speak a little Spanish as they really do appreciate the effort.
Try The Smugglers Inn in Cap Salou. Outstanding food.
Come out of the hotel, turn left, top of the hill turn right, where the road horse shoes to the right take the road to the left, continue down the hill and follow rood to the right and it is on your right. We worth a visit. T bone is fantastic.

Really good apartments, clean & well furnished, microwave, fridge etc.
2 good size pools, good for kids shallow in most of it. Stayed on floor 4 in block B.
The roof above was used as a shortcut to floors 5 & 6 we ended up with cigarette ends and a football on our balcony a few times, not very nice when you’re sitting there at the time and they ask for the ball back!
Didn’t get much noise from other rooms, lift next to our room on one side which wasn’t used much, halls had carpet which kept noise down as well.
Did not eat at restaurant went down to Cap Salou for breakfast at the Paddock, very nice and Smugglers for dinner at night, or jumped on bus into Salou for food and a night out plenty of places to eat n drink.
Also portaventura great day out try furiusbaco new for 2007 just as you walk in it is worth the wait. We have still got lots to see and do in Salou going back 2008.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Salou, this was our 3rd visit to Salou. We had decided to stay in Cap Salou this time at the Med Village Hotel. Cap Salou is a very nice place but not suitable for our family too quiet, we prefer the hustle & bustle of Salou centre. There is a lovely coastal path if walking takes around 25 minutes at a slow pace to reach the popular area of Salou.
The Hotel was 4 stars but I would rate it a 3. Last year we stayed in Club Dorado Palace and I would definitely class that hotel as a 4 star. Towels are changed every 2 days which was not a problem until I discovered that if a towel was left in the bath or on the floor to be exchanged, room service picked the towel up and hung it back on the rail -DIRTY! Once we complained to the reception this was sorted immediately.
The entertainment staff I give 10/10, they were great, they made everyone feel welcome & got everyone involved in games etc. The CLUB dance was a good laugh - even the men joined in...
I cannot comment much on the hotel food as we were self catering but we did use the restaurant one evening and we were not very impressed though I did hear comments that the food was ok.
3 days before we were due to come home, I had my perfume stolen from my room. There was 2 bottles of perfume in my bedside drawer but only my best Armani Sensi was taken the other bottle was left (obviously they already had Cool Water!).
The sunbeds are a nightmare, the beds are padlocked together and do not get opened until 9am. The first week of my holiday the queuing started at 8am, however on the 2nd week there were people queuing from 7am.
There were also people that did not queue and arrived just as the beds were being opened and pushed in to get a bed. The number of people who also took sunbeds for their children who only used them for about 10mins because they were always in the pool or with the kids club was ridiculous, this stopped a lot of adults getting beds - the hotel did state that they may look at charging for beds, this would be the only way to stop this selfish behaviour!
Euro Travellers cheques to exchange them at this hotel is not a good idea. They charge 4% per 100 euro, if you go into Salou centre you will get between a 1.5 - 2% charge - this charge makes a huge difference to the amount of spending money you have.
Though I did enjoy my holiday, I would not choose this hotel again.
What can I say? Fantastic,...

What can I say? Fantastic, fantastic. We had such a fab time at H10. This was are first time abroad and I couldn’t have been more happy staying any where else.
All staff where fantastic ,the kids club was brill my 2 boys loved (5,9) it so did we as it gave us some relaxing time for the first time ever heaven.
The food was also very good good variety and deserts to die for they also always made sure my 9 year old had something to eat as he has to have a gluten free diet it can be hard eating out in England, so it was fantastic food and service we received.
Cap Salou is lovely for families with small children as its away from the hustle and bustle of those younger lively groups(STAGS HENS) the beach is nice and close and the local village is only 5 min walk with small rides and bars Mickey’s bar very good cheap beer and pool.
I would recommend this 200% and are booking to go again in 2008. Don’t listen to those negative reviews, some people always find something to moan about, go on book that holiday you won’t regret it...
