I read in disbelief that some snob people running this hotel down because other people have children,Buy a caravan you fuddy duddies. We just got back from 2 weeks in Mediterranean Village, overall we were very impressed at the time and dedication that surrounded the kids, yes there was aspects and room for improvement but all n all what we seen was good.
The current animation team were excellent and worked long days to put together entertainment and activities for the kids, in the evening they encouraged adult/children interaction and involved the whole family in the entertainment which at times was a little below par entertaining ways but nothing that u would say would ruin your holiday.
Hotel rooms were large, clean with air con which was great in the evening. I agree in part the sofa could do with abit of a clean but again nothing that u would say would ruin your holiday and i expect you would find in most holiday hotels around the world.
Hotel staff were brill, polite at all times and we dealt with most at sometime from reception to waiters to misc staff and these people are well impressive at the dedication they put into there job and the guests.
The hotel is about 2 miles outside of the main salou which we liked as who wants drunken yops shouting, fighting etc etc til 6am in the morning. 5/10 minutes on the bus to salou which for 3 adults only cost 5:70 euros. Main theme park about 20 minutes on a bus. Theme park was good but don't get a 14 day ticket you won't use, we did but found 3 days was enough and looking back we should have only bought a 3 day ticket. ( buy in uk before you go)
All n all if you want a quiet family holiday in a good hotel, with plenty for the kids to do and don't mind having kids around then this is for you.
If you want to party party party i suggest get a hotel in the main salou.
It wasn't a perfect hotel but hey show me one that is, if you don't mind the minor stuff and adult enough to overlook the minor stuff then your ok but if your a complete moron that can only see wrong from the moment you walk in untill the moment you leave i suggest keep your money in your pocket and stay at home becuase it wouldn't matter were you are you will still find an issue.
At this moment we are ready to re book another 2 weeks for next years

we just got back from the holiday from hell... we arrived at the hotel at 11 in the morning and had to hang around till 2 to check in considering we had our 14 yr old son with us and you know how bored they get at that age. when we finally did get into the room it was a huge disapointment..the place was in need of a complete makeover... the furnature was shabby and scratched the sofa in the sitting room was that dirty there was no way any of us would even perch on the edge of it. the bathroom was so so... but one morning i pulled the shower curtain back and knocked over the toilet brush holder and the most vile smelling brown liquid poured all over the floor i felt physically sick. the kitchen utensils leave a lot to be desired as well, the cereal bowls are the plastic cola ones that kelloggs were giving away free a few yrs ago the restaurant is a rip off you have to pay before you even get in so basically your paying nearly 40 euros and you dont know what your getting... my husband had the steak that was that tough you,d have needed a still saw to cut through it when he finally did manage to cut it the blood was oozing out it.... we never went back. we were in block b which seemed to be the fav hangout for the young louts every single night they were hanging around the entrance swearing shouting and drinking and just being a complete pain in the arse. as for the entertainment if i hear the cheeky girls one more time i,m sure i,ll go mad but the young kids loved it but the adult entertainment was diabolical. the irish seem to like it the place was full of them and they were really nice there were a few english idiots that liked to be heard and throw their weight around a bit felt a bit sorry for them actually cos all they were doing was giving there country a bad name . 4 star hotel not a chance 1 star more like.

me,my girlfriend and son flew out for a week on the 6th july,we got a friendly welcome, and had to wait a little while to be allocated a room, however,a room was at reception to put your cases etc,and by the time we had a quick look we were checked in.all the staff were very helpful and bent over backwards to wait on us.The room was very spacious with a bath and a shower,!!.air con was great and views over the pool were good.i felt that our holiday was very expensive whilst there though not the hotels fault. Its the exchange rate with the euro.i was astonished to find that a pint of strongbow was £3.50,our money equivelant.Very expensive i think.
the entertainment team for the kids were fantastic and bent over backwards for the kids, but it got boring as the exact textbook discos, tasks etc were the same daily.the same songs in the same order with the same people.ok for the first two days were fine, but it wore thin after that.adult entertainment was ok i suppose and got better towards the end of our week there.
We were hit on the night before we left with the biggest and most frightening storm ive ever seen, the pool, stage, seating area, infact all outside was ruined and covered in foliage from trees etc.pool was filthy.both inside and out were 6 inches deep with water and that included the restaurant, lobby and inside bar.
The bit that amazed us was how fast they dealt with it.no one expected this and within an hour and a half the flooding had been mopped up etc,the only thing was that it disrupted meal time as queues got big.Minimal disruption throughout this few hours.im very fussy and expect to be faced with the exact rating of hotels and felt that i got just that !!i would recommend for families provided the kids mix well and can join in with dancing, singing etc.my advice to both half board and self catering is buy your bits and bobs from local supermarkets within the complex as prices can triple at the bar.example,a small bottle of water at the bar was a euro and a big bottle at the supermarket was only 80 cents.
the down side of the 4 star rating was the getting up at 8.30 and standing at poolside like a plumb discussing how stupid it was having to stand with towels on the ground to mark your spot and having to do an s.a.s style dodge across the poolside in order to get a good spot to put your sun lounger !!probably the worst part of the holiday as i couldnt get too tiddly incase i had a bad head or slept in causing us to sit in the shade!!
got to say that the restauraunt food was good.Another i worry about is the food, yet i ate as a half board guest and enjoyed the different foods on offer !!
hope you enjoy your stay there and enjoy your holiday to the full !!

Well how do i start?
Me , my wife and our 2 boys aged 11 & 5 went to the above hotel, it is actually based in Cap Salou which is a bout a 5 - 10 min bus ride from the main resort Salou.
When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with a marble reception and a waterfall through the glass doors. We were welcomed very politly as we checked in although we had to wait till 2pm to get into our room (we arrived 1.30pm) so it was not a long wait and there was a place for us to put out suitcases.
The hotel from top to bottom was clean the buffet meals were well prepared ant quite tasty too, with theme nights.
The pools (3 of them) were clean and a life guard sometimes 2 are based at each of the bigger pools. The staff in the hotel were polite and always had your needs in their mind as my oldest filled a bowl too much with hot soup and burnt his fingers, well one of the waitresses could not have done anymore to make sure there was no major burns.
The activities and SOME of the facilities need a wee bit work on them but they were ok as they were.We spent most of our nights away from the hotel. Port Aventura is a wonderful theme park. Tip buy your tickes in the uk as they charge 42 euros per adult for one day,we went 8 times and if you add it up it works out about 1000 euros, we paid £205.00 for our 4 x 14 day passes, big saving.
Thye hotel is orientated for families with half board and self catering, althought there were a few couples only too. In the hotel grounds there is a supermarket, laundry, kids club,5 aside football pitch ,hair dresser along with the celtic bar. There is a main bar, resteraunt, pool bar too.
This is a very good hotel and with being out side the main resort you don,t have any problems with noise as in the main resort discos are open till 6am.
Overall we had a fantastic stay and a fab holiday and we would strongly reccommend you come here, as we certainly will be back

We are just back from a two week stay and I must say we had a great time. On arrival the reception staff were friendly and polite. After eventually finding our room, which was not easy we were surprised by the size, plenty of room for a family of 4. It was clean and had a pool view. The towels were changed and beds made each day. The restaurant had a great choice of breakfast and evening meals some British food is also on the menu every day, except Thursday where they had a Mexican/Spanish night. If your kids are adventurous when trying new foods they will love it, Our daughter did she tried everything she could. Our son on the other hand was not as keen but chips are usually always on the menu along with fishfingers, grated cheese, meat platters etc... The evening entertainment left a lot to be desired although on some nights there were good acts, like the acrobats, and the parrott show. Most of the entertainment was staff putting on the show themselves. There are 2 outdoor pools which are open from 10am to 7pm, getting a sun lounger can be impossible as we saw people queuing up from 8am even although you could not get a lounger till 9am, what we found was heading down to breakfast at around 9:30 the queues were gone and there were still a few available. Why some people need 4 sun loungers is beyond me when most of the time the kids are in the pool and the lounger is used as a towel rail. The indoor pool is much quieter but no fun, and you must wear a swimming cap which costs 2 euro. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and it cost around 2 euro each into Salou. A taxi is only around 7 euro and much quicker sometimes the bus felt like a cattle cart the drivers did'nt seem to care how many people got on the bus. The walk into Salou is only about 25min and it is a nice beach walk. If you go out of hotel and turn left at the Knights Inn heading to the Cala Font hotel there are a few eating places which are not badly priced there are also kids trampolines and amusements in this area. The Caribe water park was good but be warned when inside you have to pay 12 euro for the flume rings which only 3 euro is refunded. 3 euro for locker which is refunded if you keep receipt. If you can buy your theme park tickets before you go as it works out better value. Overall this was a non stop family holiday which we all enjoyed but was very expensive.

just back from meditterian village over all holiday very good had 3 boys with me 4 ,11, 13 all enjoyed the facilities and loved the pools. the entertainment was great . stayed self catering apartment nice and cleaned each day we had a pool view , supermarket on site but a bit expensive. we visited the waterpark in la pinda kids loved it , tried a few slides myself, great fun . plenty for the younger kids , great dolphin show all in one price which cost around 19 pounds for an adult well worth the money . and great day out . bus stop out side hotel for any destination, we got a taxi instead as only was 7 or 8 euro. surrounding area of cap salou was mainly quiet, bars all closed around 11 : 30 as they are family pubs with kids amusments , but did,nt mind . you pay 60 euros when you arrive , but get it back when you are going home. did,nt have any problems with noise after entertainment at hotel which finished at 12:00 each night,
Decent hotel, scabby resort.
Hated Salou, scabby beach, uninspiring area.
Biggest complaint had to be the English Lager Louts, bare chested, red, sweaty, fat, loud mouthed. Swaggering about like the brainless idiots they are, dressed in union jacks and very little else. Is it any wonder that the English are hated even more than the Germans in every holiday resort in the world. Hated.
Apart from the red, white and blue SCUM, the hotel was good, didn't like Salou or the English Idiots though.
thank you please

we arrived at the hotel at 2pm and went striaght to our rooms which were clean and tidy but it had no kettle, fridge or remote control, you have to pay a non refundable deposit on these of 10euro for the remote (no channels), 42euro for a wooden cooler box (rubbish) for 2 weeks and 20 euro for kettle. the food in the hotel was PUTRID (disgusting) the buffet had very little choice it was really grim, the dessert was large plates of angel delight. the owner of the supermarket in the complex should have been hung for extortion 3.57 euro for small hp bottle sauce 4.50 euro for small box shredded wheat and 1.70 euro for a packet of walkers crisps, etc, etc. the foodbar at the pool was also very expensive and it to was rotten. we were living on chips for the first week(lol)once you got into town down along the beach front thats were the good food was juicy fillet steaks and lovely home made pizzas and lovely seafood, our favourite was the chicken place in the main street a man who sold chickens of the spit very nice with fresh baguettes or chips lol. also you have to be out for 9 0 clock in the morning to wait on the sun loungers being unlocked as they are limited. overall the hotel was very clean we heard of a few thefts but did not experience any of this ourselves.

Just got back from Salou. Hotel was excellent. Very nice rooms, and if you have a balcony overlooking the pool then you have a very nice view. Staff were very friendly and they fixed problems quickly and efficiently. The facilities were very good although we did not really use any of the entertainment so cannot comment. The hotel is walking distance from several beaches and the reort of Salou. The trips to Barcelona from outside the hotel are very good and excellent value. Overall an excellent holiday.

My review is quite a short one.
We have just returned after spending a week here, we selected the hotel because of the facilities.
Although it is described as 'ideal for families' we booked to go during term time, so didn't expect to many children....Ha ha, what a laugh!!
We have NEVER seen so many kids in one place!! The ratio split must have been 60% kids, 40% adults!!
What happened to the "You can't take children on holiday during term time, unless extenuating circumstances prevail" law?
My initial 'rating' of 3/10 is purely based on our enjoyment of the holiday, the hotel deserves an 8/10.
The staff are all friendly, the place is clean, the food is more than adequate although not in the 'good' category.
It is an excellent destination for those with families & I would recommend it.
Finally.
IF YOU DON'T WANT SCREAMING CHILDREN AROUND YOU ALL DAY, & NIGHT, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!
