brilliant
absolutley brill, we have 3 sons aged 13, 8 n 2 and there was something for all of them 2 do at all times, there was also activities for me and my husband to join in as well. we didnt really stay in the hotel in the eves, so cannot really rate the evening entertainment, but we always went back for the last hour in the eves, and what we saw of it , it was ok. as we were self catering we didnt sample the food, but friends of ours said that the food was great, only sorry now that we never tried it. the rooms and the hotel were very clean, and the staff where very pleasant. the only problem that we had with the hols it that we had to catch the bus if we wanted to go anywhere and when you have got a child that is still in a pram, it can be very hard work as the buses get very cramped and people will watch you struggle. but that is nothing to do with the hotel itself. if u want a very good meal, if you go into cap salou, (down the road from the hotel). go to the smugglers inn, (fantastic). also mickeys bar is great they have a bouncy castle for the kids and they have a happy hour 7.30pm - 10.00pm BOGOF. we said that we wasn't gonna go away next year but this holiday that we have just had was that good we have been looking and hopefully come back, but this time will try half board.
revenge of the sunbeds!!!!!!!
all i can say is NO ONE CAN TALK ABOUT THE GERMANS!! just come back from med village, apartments are great for kids, the pools are great but not enough space for all of the sunbeds at the upstairs pool, alot of the time it was like a cattle market especially on the day there is a daisy splash party. i have a pram and i couldnt get pushing it at all at the pool area. the restuarant was beautiful and worth going to. the kids entertainment was excellent.....all in all, we had a great holiday but hated the sunbed business, where everyone marked their territory with a TOWEL at 6.30 am
loved this hol
My partner and I with our Three children (ages 14,9,2) went to this hotel on the recommendation of a friend. We were self catering. When we arrived we were absolutely amazed at how clean and tidy everywhere was. Reception area was the best feature. The staff were friendly and always there if you needed anything. Rooms were kept clean and tidy maids were in everyday to collect rubbish. Towels changed regular. This hotel is fantastic for children always entertainment on for them. two big pools and a small toddlers pool pools are supervised. Rooftop jacuzzi for queiter moments, gym inside swimming pool, hairdressers, supermarket, two bars. Everything you need is here. The rooms have air conditioning which we used a lot and safety deposit boxes in each room that are free of charge. There are small beaches just down the road from the hotel which are usually quite. We ate out in the paddock just down the road so cannot comment on the food from hotel. Portaventura is about 15 mins bus ride away and is a must to visit kids loved it there we got a fourteen day pass and went about 6 times. Bus stop is just around corner of hotel and takes you to salou if you fancy the lovely beach there or portaventura. La pineda is worth a visit also the beach is lovely. My self and my family really enjoyed our stay there so much we have just booked to go back again in june next year. I read a review on this page where it said this hotel should be 5 star and i totally agree with them in my opinion it should be a 5 star
loved it that much am going again
I stayed at this hotel last year with my family, and found it to be an excellent hotel. My daughter loved the daily activities, and the choice of pools.. We all thought the food was excellent, think you have to be fussy on what u eat, not to like it but there are plenty of lovely restaurants about the area.. Cap Salou is a small but nice place with lovely bars and restaurants and beach.. Ideal if you like the peace and quiet which is what u go on holiday for... I found the hotel to be quiet as all the entertainment finishes at midnight, apart from the Celtic Bar which opens til 2am but when i stayed here i never heard a thing.. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, we had fresh towels everyday and our bed linen was changed every other day... My daughter loved it so much she did not want to come home..... We loved it so much we are going back again this week....
H10 Well Recommended
We stayed at H10 first 2 weeks in august. Found hotel very clean comfortable and well managed. Pools have life guards and extremly clean we have never seen pools that big you have see. The indoor pool steam room & sauna are a must. Roof top jacuzzi are great & have brilliant views. Food excellant (as not stated in some reviews)selection for everybody, sweets to die for. Buses to salou very frequent sometimes busy. We have supplied some photos and would recommend H10 to familys as have 2 young children of our own and where well entertained all day. the animation team looked after people of all ages. (9 of us alltogther in 3 rooms half board no complaints).
Cap Salou
We have just returned form The H10 Mediterranean Village, we had a wonderful time in Salou, the hotel was generally very good although the food in the hotel was not as good as we had expected. Also the ques for the sunbeds in the morning was disappointing, apart from that there was a lot to do, the theme park was excellent, it is worth getting tickets before you go as this will save queing to get in, also the water park at Le Paneda is well worth a visit, get your tickets from the reps before you go. The best place to eat by far was Smugglers in Cap Salou, all in all an excellent holiday and we would use this hotel again
Excellent Family holiday
We found the H10 Med Village a great hotel for our family, the food was excellent, the rooms were very nice and kept well and they had plenty of facilities in the complex. The entertainment for the children is first class and the animation team got to know you and the children. The bar staff were poor but this didnt spoil anything for us. Even though Cap Salou is outside the main places, the bus facilities are excellent and can get you all over for very cheap
Excellent resort
We stayed at H10 Mediterranean village earlier this summer(end of june-beginning of july) for 1 week. We found this resort magnificent, the best we've stayed in so far and we've been abroad quite a few times before but H10 was definitely the best. when we arrived we were amazed at the cleanliness of the hotel. We were self catering, and the apartment was very spaceous wit 2 large beds and a mirrored wardrobe from wall to wall in the bedroom. In the main area of the apartment was a little kitchen with hob, microwave, sink and a few presses.also a large sofa which could be pulled out into a double bed and behind the door was bunk beds so there was no shortage of sleeping area. The electricity was switched on when you put your card into the slot, however you only got one of these cards and you needed it to open the door so it meant you couldn't go out and leave the air-conditioning on,but this wasnt a problem as it didnt take the apartment long to cool once it was switched on. there is a limited number of sunbeds around the pool so if you want to get one you have to be down at the pool around 8:30a.m. and be ready to grab them when their unlocked!! H10 is only 5mins walk from cap salou,a small little town with restaurants, bars and a few souvenier shops.if you are going to H10 or staying in cap salou i would recommend "smugglers" as a place to dine some night,it was excellent. 1 little problem i found was getting taxi's into salou, the receponist rang for them but once in the car it was a bit of a job trying to explain where you wanted to be left off as most of the taxi drivers have very poor or even no english. H10 reps help organise day trips also,i would highly recommend a day trip to the barcelona fountains(which also takes in new camp stadium) and of course a trip to port aventura.we really enjoyed both trips and if you go to port aventura make sure to stay until the fireworks display, its magnificent. hotel staff were very helpful, the place was spotless, entertainment every night, celtic pub stayed open til 2am,great kids club,2 large pools with fun floats in the pool from 11-1 every friday morning and cold jacuzzi's on the roof which were great if you wanted to cool down, while we were staying there the temp was over 40 degrees some days so these were lovely! i couldnt find anything bad about this hotel and i would highly recommend it.
Mediterranean Village - The Untold Story
We recently returned from this hotel and were glad to get home for a decent nights sleep. The hotel accomodation was very good, facilities excellent, food very poor and entertainment very amateurish. We went to this hotel in Cap Salou with our kids for a family holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of Salou, what we got was a very noisy hotel where people seem to have no respect for other people's right to have a good nights sleep. The hotel has an English style bar, called the Celtic Bar, be aware that it stays open to 2 am in the morning and the noise will undoubtably disturb your sleep patterns i.e. we never got to sleep until 3 am in the morning. We complained to the holiday representative and hotel manager, we were allocated another room in the hotel, but the noise was a general problem around the hotel. The walls between the rooms must have been made of rice paper or the people next to us must have been hard of hearing. They banged doors, shouted, sang loud songs and made a nuisance of themselves. I will give you some advice, this is not a 4 star hotel for the food or entertainment and the management seem unable to control the activities of the few guests who make this holiday unpleasant. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.
excellent hotel
me and my family stayed here for a week from the 11th sept 2004,couldnt ask for the wrong thing especially when you have a child with you room was spacious and very clean, food was excellent, pool and activities day and night were out of this world, friendly staff and nice resort even though quiet it was a quick taxi trip into main salou excellent value and enjoyed it that much shall return this year.
