When we first arrived at the Tropicano Didim Beach Hotel we thought, WOW this place looks gorgeous!!! They helped us with our bags and took us to the room, which was absolutely beautiful. By that time it was time for tea but we didn’t really enjoy the food that much at first because we weren’t really sure what we was doing but after the first day we got into it and liked it.
the weather was fantastic, absolutely gorgeous the pool area was beautiful with a beach just at the bottom with crystal clear sea.
They have a full entertainment team who are all really lovely and they look after the kids and play games and do dances with them, then the rest of the entertainment team play games for everyone if you would like to join in its usually really good fun, they have clap dance time at 3 o'clock everyday which is a dance all the entertainers do around the pool and try to get everyone up to do its really good fun!!
Tropicano Didim Beach Hotel is only supposed to be 3 stars in English but I would definitely give a 5 star rating, I have had the best holiday ever!!

After booking this holiday we decided to look up the reviews and got very worried at some of the negative comments. We went as a group of four adults we had a wonderful reception in this very smart hotel. We found the food very appetising and very well presented. Beds and rooms were very clean and maids came in daily. Staff were helpful and attentive, loads of drinks and local alcohol any time it was required .
Tropicano Didim Beach Hotel was a little out of the way but the local dolmus bus ran every eight minutes from the front entrance and for a few pence you can get into town for shops and markets. Also the trips are great, we went to Ephesus and had lunch on the way the guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We also went with a friend we met to an old village in Sirince, unfortunately this tour is not included in the tour list at the hotel which is a real shame because it is a real and true life of Turkey and if we had not been fortunate enough to meet our friend we would have missed this great opportunity.
We will certainly recommend this all inclusive bargain holiday, in spite of some of the miserable grumpy people who would never be satisfied. We had a fantastic time and will go again. The Tropicano Didim Beach Hotel gets very busy in the season we were told, as its great for kids. The only downside is that the area is going through some development but we did not find this a problem but once in the hotel grounds it was not apparent

My wife and I spent 2 weeks in this hotel. The service was great the food fantastic, and the staff there trully lovely.
The Tropicano Didim Beach Hotel was big and spacious and the rooms were massive.
The furniture in the rooms was not exactly the best, but the rest of the hotel outweighed this very small issue. I am going again and I reccommend that everyone give this good value for money hotel a go!

Aug 2003, Miss K Kiff

We read the reviews on other websites before we left and were a bit worried about some of the bad comments. On our way through Altinkum to our resort it became obvious that hotel was further out than the others but in the morning we realised it was only about 20 mins to walk and there are always mini buses ran by the locals beeping behind you willing to drive you anywhere you want. Beware of their driving though!!!
The town was of a reasonable size and is full of restaurants and bars, not quite to the standard that we are uses to back home though. There are lots of market stalls and shops that look more like shacks, all trying to make you go in. Don't hesitate to say no as they are used to it and you will just spend all day in shops you wouldn't dream of going in. there isn't too much to buy, just gifts for those back home, but if you like your "designer" items then take as much as you can as that is all there is. We didn’t spend much time in the town, and were very glad that we booked the all-inclusive package. Note, don’t tell the locals where you are staying, as they will think you are rich and will charge you more.
I went with just my boyfriend and I but I would really recommend this to families too. You could let the children go off for the whole day and know that they are in safe hands and being all-inclusive you will know they will eat. The rooms were a little disappointing after seeing the pictures. But the bathroom was clean and the maids came everyday. They even make things like hearts and swans on your bed, no doubt to get a bigger tip, but still nice. The employees were lovely and were willing to do anything. They all work an 18-hour day and get paid around £120 a month so they like it when you make bets etc.
The food was ok but quite similar everyday, and I did become rather ill but I'm not sure if that was because of the water. Don't even brush your teeth with it. Everyone was determined to get you drunk but the alcohol is strong so do it slowly. The beach is average but do get up early as the Germans do what they do best and it is annoying when you are by the beach all day. There is a nice breeze all day, which helps keep the temperature down each day. All in all we had a really good holiday but you have to always keep in mind that its a third world country and that 5* here is a 3*-4* elsewhere. A good value holiday and remember what you would get for this price other places.
