London Crown Hotel

We stayed here 2 nights. The htel had just been renovated and we stayed in one of the contempoary rooms. Everything was brand new, and spotless. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location right at Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express (less than 100 meters) is unbeatable for convienence. The value for your money is excelent. Next time my wife and I go to London we are staying here again.

This hotel is an ideal place to stay right next to London Paddington Station. We were flying out the next morning and needed a hotel to stay for one night near Paddington (For Heathrow Express - which takes you straight into Heathrow in about 15 minutes) but didn't want to spend a lot of money. The rooms were very small, and the staff, particularly the night staff was not helpful. The walls were VERY thin - and they have "club rooms" - and while I have no idea what they are, they seem to permit guests to party until all hours of the night. I could hear talking, drinking, etc until about 2am, at which point I called the nightstaff. They did nothing because the noise continued until 5am. My wife and I stayed here during our London trip. First the pluses- Excellent location -very close to the Paddington station ( great for those who take the heathrow express), only a 5 min walk. Very friendly staff. Good room service. Nice neighbourhood. Plenty of shops to eat out and to buy some essentials. The big bus tour stop is also very close by. I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights starting Dec 18th. This is my first visit to London, so I read extensive reviews and hotel photos. Like the other reviews pointed out - The room is small but nicely furnished and the bathroom power shower is very comfortable. The location is very convenient for people who plan to take HeathrowExpress from/to LHR. Also, this is where our out-of-London day-tours end, so that's another plus point location-wise. I have to say for the money in london this hotel Waaay over lived our expectations. the rooms were very nice - actually looked like they do in the photos on their website. We stayed in a contemparory King room - admittedly the bed wasnt what i would class as a king more a double but still it suited us fine. The decor was great, staff fantastic, everything good. The room was small, but adequate, and had been refurbished in very modern style, with a flat screen TV and metal accents. The staff was friendly and helpful (and did not charge for holding luggage). The Garfunkels next door is good for breakfast. Location is very convenient for both Heathrow express and buses and tube. A good value.

Much nicer than expected. Very close to Paddington station and the Tube. Quiet courtyard so the traffic did not disturb us. Room was very small (we had a lot of luggage and had problems walking around the room because it was so small) but bed was nice too. Only downside was that you can hear the people in surrounding rooms. Shower/toilet were very nice too. This hotel is not fancy, and may not appeal to those who want to live in luxury, but it should suit very well those who want a clean place to stay.

Hotel was very clean, room was TINY as to be expected- great value for your $$ (for London) as least. Location and neighborhood were amazing. The elevator was a little slow but being on the 4th floor we just took the stairs for the most part. Bed was a double, not a queen and it was a little cramped with both my hubby and I-and not the most comfortable bed but it wasn't a problem. The area is fantastic and the hotel is beautiful and clean. Most of the staff is very nice (except for one female receptionist, who actually was not very friendly). Unfortunately, we got a room in the basement, where there was quite a lot of noise early in the morning from people checking out dragging their suitcases across the reception floor right above our heads.
