Just got back from 2 weeks at the Atlantic having last been there as long ago as 1984. Apparently it's had a major refurbishment but I struggled to see any major changes apart from a new coat of paint. If you've booked to go here- well done, good choice. first the good....... more

We stayed here in Sept '09 for 14 nights. Myself, my husband and our 9&7 yr old grandsons. The apartment we stayed in was very roomy, and the maids made an excellent job of keeping the room spotless. The whole hotel was kept to 1st class cleanliness. We made great use of... more

We are a couple in our twenties, and stayed at the Atlantic Hotel week beginning 18th October, on a half board basis. The Atlantic is advertised as a good family hotel and I think this is probably accurate. I was a little worried at first that we would be the odd ones out... more

Didn't want to come home!!!
Well, the tan's beginning to fade, but certainly not my impressions of the Atlantic. My sister booked through First Choice, and wanted a quite relaxing break, not a clubbing holiday.I certainly got that. After arriving at 3am, we were checked in quickly and efficiently, and went to our room. We were lucky and got an apartment, beautifully clean, flat screen tv, and modern furniture, and us being girls, the bathroom was superb, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, fresh towels everyday. We were very impressed by the maid service everyday, and the little touches such as folding our nighties and tucking them under our pillows. We had a great view, both of the sea and es cana. The staff even helped us when we had a kamikaze pigeon on our balcony that refused to move!! The entertainment at night was good, and prices at the bar were surprisingly inexpensive. The only downside was the size of the lifts, honestly, us 2 girls and our suitcases were a tight squeeze & in the end my sister ended up using the stairs. We couldn't extend our checkout on day of departure, and weren't being picked up until 22:50pm, there wasn't a secure area for luggage to be kept, but on the plus side, they did provide a courtesy room, containing 4 showers and a toilet, that we could use for 20 minutes so we could freshen up before regretfully starting our journey home. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay, and would recommend it to anyone (maybe not if you suffer from claustrophobia!!)and we're already planning to go back.
Loved Ibiza
Loved Ibiza - the beaches were lovely and sandy. The surrounding area was clean no rubbish on the ground. The Hotel was superbly cleaned every day, the rooms were excellent, hair dryers ( for us women, and a good one) beds made each day and towels (plenty) laid out for you. The service was excellent, the down side was the the rip off prices in the hotel, for a paper plate of chips no bigger than your palm 2 euros, outside 50metres away a huge porcelain plate for less than 2 euros. The best eatery was by far VENT huge delicious meals. keep away from Apache, oh my god the toilets are disgusting and the staff(whats with the sunglasses at night!! and beer for a £1 well it looked like beer!!!!yuk, good luck we paid too much for a 2 week holiday with first choice I wont do that again, I have learnt my lesson
Great Place would return
just returned from Sirenis Atlantic in Es Cana. This was booked as a last min holiday. We had never been to Ibiza before, so were unsure what to expect. All I can say is "brilliant", the hotel was spotless, the rooms are cleaned everday, and we had no problem with things going missing from our rooms, as per one of the previous reviews. The pool was lovely, loads of sunbeds. The life guard is strict, but she is only doing her job, and is great with the young ones. The evening entertainment is fun, game shows, parrot shows, dance shows etc etc. We stayed in a studio which consisted of a double bed settee, and a twin room separated by shutters, the kitchen equipment is adequate as we ate out every day. The bathroom is very upto date. Free air conditioning is also a plus point. Es Cana itself is a lovely place, the beach is nice, although was full of seaweed when we first arrived due to the recent storm, but this was been cleared and did improve towards the end of the week. It costs 12 euro to hire two sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach, but we haggled and got it for 10 euro. The glass bottom boat is a waste of money, but the water taxi to ibiza town is well worth the money. It cost 13 euro for an adult return journey and is half price for children. The trip itself lasts an hour an a half and pick up people at St Eulalia and Cala Longa, so you get a glimpse of the surrounding beaches. Didnt really have a long stay in the town, but it was enough to have a wonder and a relaxing drink in one of the bars. Eating out, Salamar just up the road from zodiac apartments does a great English Breakfast, with proper bacon and fried bread, and the staff are very friendly, the italian opposite is also nice if you fancy a pasta/pizza. Seas Restaurant is also very nice, and again the staff are friendly. Entertainment also includes play your cards right, quiz, catchphrase and bingo, all good fun. All in all had a great holiday, and didnt want to return home, will deffo recommend it to friends and family
sirenis atlantic ibiza hotel
brilliant place for families, very nice and near everything you need.rooms recently decorated.staff friendly and most speak good english.
Clean and Tidy Hotel
I recently stayed at the Hotel for a week with my partner and two children. I found the Hotel to be well situated (Es Canar is small) near the beach and near to the Local nightlife. The Hotel pool was a decent size and manned by a lifeguard most of the time! Every morning at 11 O'Clock the hotel tannoy would blast out the Hotel Anthem 'SUNSHINE FOR ME' This song was loved by all the kids of 12 and below who performed the accompanying dance choreographed by Michael the Entertainer. A spotless hotel with great air con and entertainment provided for the kids.
lovely hotel
booked this hotel 6 weeks ago on the internet for an unbeleivable price and like other people was a bit worried as i coudnt find any recent reviews. i neednt have worried. we were 3 adults in our 40s with 2 teenage girls age 15. i must have been lucky as i didnt have any drainage smells in my room, ask for 5th floor, but my freind did on the 4th floor. the rooms were lovely, all new lcd tv micromave toaster etc. staff very freindly and for young chidren the kiddies rep michael was brilliant with them. entertainment on each night and was supposed to have been good but as the restaurant is unfinished we went out to eat all the time and stayed in the centre then. the hotel is in a fantastic position and the resort itself very safe. our girls were out every night by themselves and came to no harm. theres only a few lively bars in resort charlies being the livliest with live groups on every night followed by a disco till 4am. the apache bar has a bucking bull and we had fun in there and drinks are the cheapest in resort 2 for 1 7pm-midnight. santa eulalia worth a visit for nice restaurants. 1.25 euros on a bus takes 10 mins. all in all had a great time in es cana would definately return to hotel but anyone wishing for a lively resort needs to go to another resort.
just ok
We have just returned from 1weeks stay at the Atalntic. The room was clean and all newly refurbished with modern fixtures and fittings. The only problem we had was with the smell of drainage that filled the room each night, we assumed when all the other bathrooms were in use! The hotel had a large pool with plenty of sunbeds, but its only a 5 minute walk to the beach anyway. There was still building work, but it was all indoors and caused minimal noise. There were day time activities and nightly entertainment and although we didn't use them they seemed to be popular with the guests. The hotel is situated near all the shops and bars in a very good central position. All in all we had a relaxing week in Es Canar.
Atlantic Treat
SirenisHotel Atlantic in Escana Ibiza, we booked two week holiday at the atlantic through first choice, my self and my wife and my two year old daughter. I looked for reviews everywhere but they were all old reviews as the hotel has just been totally refitted for 2007, we are both in are early thirties and it was our first visit to Ibiza, know to the review Loved the place we had a fantastic holiday and i am a really fussy bugger!!! We payed 100 pounds extra for a suite well worth it as we have a young daughter, the room was as brand new two bedrooms two bathrooms, lounge with lcd tv and dvd player real god sent to entertain the little one... paper delivered to room every day.wow. we did self catering as the hotel restaurant was still being refitted, but it suited us. the hotel was in a great location, 2mins to beach, as escana is small you were close to everything. Escana is a great family resort, nice beach, but it is a little quite, must get packed when the kids are out. We hired are car for a week and went to santa eululia which is 5mins away really lovely town, gr8 promenade with a nice safe feel and buzz to the place. Ibiza Town wow what a fantastic and beautiful town only 20 mins drive from escana, visit the old town, what amazing views, little mrkets on the small cobbled streets, much much better than the so called famous hippy market in escana on every wedneday, my advice give it a miss unless you want some wood or lace!!! and it was rammed in june!!! anyway back to Ibiza town great food, really funky bar marina cool, great nites out, no hassle no lucky lucky men to be seen, we went about six times. Ibiza itelf very beutiful very green, gotta get a car and tour round. overal one of the best holiday ive had, and all for under a grand, book know as next year i think the price will be hiked up. hotel atlantic and escana a lovely hotel and base if a bit quite but 10 mins on the bus as well to santa elulia 2euros for the three of us. staff in hotel fantastic, rooms cleaned every day, entertainment every nite, not our cuppa tea ok for older kids , seperate kiddies pool really safe shallow my little girl loved it, play area for kids. overal really impressed a fussy bugger like me and thats unusual......
Exceptional Value for Money
Went with my husband and two children and sister in law and her two children. Hotel was extremely clean with staff working 24 hours a day to keep it that way. We'd never stayed in a hotel where all the guests were English and that was a bit weird but it was a very cheap deal we were very impressed. The rooms were very basic but very clean and we only needed to shower, change and sleep in them so we weren't bothered but if you're expecting an apartment type room you won't be happy. The all inclusive food was fantastic, a great choice every day and lots of it. The small pool for the kids was great, so relaxing away from the main section. The evening entertainment was as good as most hotels I've been to. First Choice reps were very friendly, informative and always there to help. The queue for the final free drinks was quite amusing each night and we could never understand how after being offered such a wide choice of dinner each night that the burger and chips bar was so busy so soon after. All inclusive dosen't necessarily mean eat as much as you possibly can before you burst does it?? Jokes aside a great holiday, a brilliant location, we would have gone back again this year but it's closed for refurbishment. See you again in 2006 Atlantic. (hope the refurbishment dosen't change the place too much)
cheeky ladies!!!!!!
Hiya we are two girls aged 16 and 17 who stayed in the atlantic hotel in august 2004 with my parents. We had a "Quality" holiday and met some really nice people. Sirenis Atlantic Hotel travel tips from your fellow travellers
  • The train bus is pointless if you want to swim on the beaches they visit. 20 minutes on each is silly. Take a bus or taxi to a beach or go to St Eulalia and Ibiza town. Very nice - by Baz
