Fantastic holiday all round. If you’re the type of person that likes a base on holiday in order to visit other places this is a great resort.
There’s plenty of places to eat and drink and not expensive either. If you want a quiet holiday than this one’s for you. Boat rides to other resorts are a must and cheap too.
The locals are friendly and most speak good English. Although we went self catering it worked out just as cheap to eat out (average was about 15euros for a meal for two with starter and drinks).
My general opinion was that it’s a great holiday resort with plenty to do although if you’re a beach lover it’s worth a boat trip to find a better less crowded one than Es Cana.

I went to Atlantic with my husband and 14 yr old son and 70 year old mother and stepdad, we all had a fantastic time. The hotel was lovely, only fault was our room on the 4th floor,no.423, stunk of the sewer in the bathroom, which wasn't very pleasant. They're in the process of opening the restaurant next year, there is not a lot to do in Es Cana for the youngests, went to Sant Antonia, which was much more lively. Buses are easy to get around on, and are cheap, however food is expensive, but you will have a nice time, the views are great, and do the Castaway boat trip, well worth the money, hope you enjoy yourselves.

We went here for just 1week and we wished we stayed for 2weeks! It was just me and my daughter who is aged 14 and we couldn't find a single complaint about the area!
The only thing we could complain about really is the reps, there was a really friendly and helpful one but the other one was just stuck up and really unhelpful at the welcome meeting she acted friendly and then just turned! But on the last day she then went happy towards us again my daughter met a friend on the plane and they said they had a problem with the rep as well due to having a go at them for something which wasn't their fault!
The reception staff were friendly especially the men staff! The lifeguard was there nearly everyday! She was friendly when she wanted to be!
The entertainment was great a real laugh we enjoyed the Abba show and Miss Atlantic, there are 2 entertainers my daughter and her friend didn't really think the women was that friendly but they thought Micheal was great he would just have you in stitches.
We enjoyed a meal at Mandarin a Chinese they are very friendly there went on are last day as well!
The rooms are very nice and clean, the maids aren't the friendliest but they did a good job! We got a bit worried because in the bathroom we could hear next door and felt as though they could see us whilst on the toilet, if they looked through this thing!
We went on 3 trips with first choice, 1st one was a sunset cruise that is very nice to see but expensive for what it was although the sunset is very beautiful and great for taking photos so make sure you take a camera. The 2nd trip we went on was the Ibiza tour my daughter wasn't to thrilled about this but did enjoy it in the end, so that is worth the money! The 3rd trip we went on was 1 which my daughter chose and she wish she never it was just sitting on a boat doing nothing, great for chilling out but then you go on this island and have 1hr and 30mins doing nothing and then go back on the boat to eat which had no choice at all, my daughter was so hungry but didn't like the food! You had to pay for the drinks which our rep told us you wouldn't have to! |So I strongly recommended not going on that!
Ibiza town is great to see, the old town is nice and pretty! We got lost and ended up following some man from Barcelona!
There is plenty to do in Es Cana lots of shops to look at! We really didn't want to come home!
Such a great place to go to I would definitely recommend going to Santa Eullalia and have a meal at the Mexican great food! And San Antonio is a beautiful place to see it is just beautiful we love to look at all the boats so that is nice!
DON'T GO ON THE HIPPY MARKET TOUR WITH FIRST CHOICE IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN WALK THERE AND IT IS ABOUT A 10MINS WALK!

The area of Es Cana is very good for couples, families, and older couples alike.
There are plenty of places to eat and bars to visit but it remains a quiet resort for all this. There are a few big hotels in the area, and a couple of nice beaches well within walking distance. There are plenty of shops, supermarkets, and bus/taxi stops within walking distance of Sirenis Atlantic. I went with my wife and two young daughters and had a great time.
The hotel has changed to a self catering hotel, but with snack bar open in the morning and afternoon for beverages, alcohol, ice creams etc, as well as sandwiches, chips, salads and burgers.
The rooms are spacious, and we had two single beds and a double sofa bed that was very comfy. Bathroom, excellent, the little kitchenette was small and had a fridge, microwave, sink and pots pans cups etc. However, the kitchen is situated in a pull out cupboard, but neat and tidy, the living room gad a small table and 4 chairs for a decent sit down meal. A LCD TV with Sky News CNN and Spanish TV showing.
If you bring a little DVD player you can plug it into the rear of the TV and see it on big screen, bring video or scart Leads for this. You can hire films from reception as well.
The balconies are small but hold a small metal table and two chairs. Ok
The hotel corridors lifts and pool area are very clean and the cleaning maids start earl to clean and do a blinding job.
The entertainment staff weren’t great not very enthusiastic and put to shame by the Animation team at the Hotel Across the road, however some of entertainment booked up was good, Abba, Aladdin magic show, Glamour Girls Dancers. They have a kid’s mini disco but the entertainment crew of 2 at the time were German and the songs for kids were in German, shame as it was a majority British hotel.
There is a laundry room open from 10am all you need to buy is soap, no money needed. reception staff are very helpful and marble floor in reception is inviting.
As you come out of the hotel turn left down the dirt road and first left to find to Spanish cafe bars and famous Eddie and Pauline’s English Home Style Pub, for English food drink and Sky TV Football etc, very nice.
Also Try Rio bar for Drinks and Karaoke, Montemar for late night drinks. The many restaurants along the beach. Seas Bar ?cafe for quiz nights bingo, raffles and English acts.
Trips well doing are to Calla Llonga, Santa Eulalia, San Antonio, Ibiza Town by night(not with Reps get a taxi).

We stayed here for two weeks with our 2 children aged 8 and 2 and we really couldn't fault the hotel or facilities they had for children. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful especially the children’s entertainer, Michael, who spent hours playing along with my two year old at his imaginary games!
The evening entertainment had something for everybody and started at 10pm for the main show however it would have benefited from more guests attending to watch.
We have never stayed in a cleaner hotel and the area for the young children was very secure with a fantastic playground close to the pool which had more than enough sun loungers (very comfortable I might add).
Although work was being carried out on the restaurant while we were there we were never aware of any noise, in fact more noise came from the hotel next door and their love affair with the oakey cokey.
The hotel is 2 mins from the beach which was very clean complete with lifeguards and plenty of sun loungers and is situated very close to everything in the resort.
A few tips, although Mirandas restaurant served lovely food the staff are not child friendly and took to telling my 2 year old off even though he was sat doing nothing.
The best breakfast around was at Big Al's about 5-10 min walk from the hotel Al and Sue are very friendly with an area full of toys and games for kids to play with while waiting for your food.
The best evening meal we had was at the Bulls Head (don’t be put off by the name) it is a lovely restaurant, not a pub, had a wide variety of homemade food and friendly staff.
All in all we had a great time and would definitely go back.

We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Atlantic Hotel Es Cana and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We're a family of four, kids aged 15 and 8 and everyone thought that the holiday was ideal. We were looking for a relaxing pool/beach holiday and that is exactly what we had.
The hotel complex was lovely. Clean, new and comfortable with a great pool area. (Kiddies pool also available) We stayed in a family studio, which comprised of a kitchen, table, television 2 single beds and a double sofa bed all in one room (so not much privacy!).
It was very nice though with a super balcony and separate modern big bathroom. There was a small safe in the room to keep valuables. (No safety boxes in reception).
The staff were on the whole great. The maids were thorough and very sweet. The bar staff were fluent in English, great with kids and easy to get on with. There were two hotel entertainers (Not First Choice) there all day every day.
They were fantastic- particularly Michael, a really funny character who kept everyone in stitches all day.
Be ready to join in the water basket game 4pm every day but be prepared for war! Great fun! All the reception staff were also very helpful and polite except for one very stern tall Spanish lady who was rude and argumentative. She promised an extended late check-out (we had paid FC £30 in advance until 6) on the day before we left.
However, when it came to our departure evening she had ordered our belongings out of our room and into bin bags whilst we were out for dinner! Charming. (I must stress that this was the only problem in our entire stay and the only reason for not giving the holiday 10/10)
Es Cana is a small and lovely resort and is ideal for young families. There are no clubbers anywhere to be seen! It's a laid back, chilled area. The shops are quite hippy-ish and also plenty of souvenir shops and small supermarkets. The hippy market on a Wednesday is fantastic - but get there before 10.30 as it gets mega busy from then on!
The biggest market I have ever seen! They give you a map to get around it! Be prepared though- it's not cheap and my haggling skills didn't get me anywhere! Some of the stallholders were quite offended when I tried!
If you like eating out, we would definitely recommend that you take the bus from Es Canar bus station to Santa Eluria. The bus goes there direct every half hour and only takes 10 minutes costing 5 euro for a family of 4. You could get a taxi for 8 Euro which is also very convenient. (Last bus home 11pm)
This resort is much bigger and has a great selection of restaurants and cafes. Head for Restaurant Street for the best places. Our favourites were Polardis (Mexican food, British managed) and The Gallery. Excellent food. We found food to be a little more expensive on Ibiza than in other Spanish resorts we had visited on other holidays. On average our meals came to around 80 Euro for the 4 of us (3 Course and some drinks).
We ventured into Ibiza town one evening (22 Euro taxi). It's a very busy harbour town with lots of narrow streets filled with small shops and bars. There are some nice restaurants on the front but again very expensive. There is a good view from the castle at the top of Old Town. We're glad that we visited the island's main town. But won't be rushing back.
We took a day trip with First Choice to Aquamar Water park in Playa d'en Bossa. The kids really enjoyed it and the slides were great but it was not the best water park we've ever been to. Having said that, it was only a small park and was not too busy. There were safety lockers available and sun beds to hire. (Although we used 4 all day and the attendant never approached us for the money!)
Don’t bother leaving the park for lunch. We were advised by the reps to do so but were really disappointed as the area was really grotty! The Space club is next door to the park so you get some great background music all day!
Talking of the reps. We didn't think much of ours. They were fishing for excellent reports in their appraisals but did not deserve it at all! They were nowhere to be found when I needed them regarding our late check-out fiasco. We have used First Choice before and have been pleased with our holidays with them. The flights, transfers, hotel were again all good - it was just the reps who let FC down.
I was a bit concerned on the flight out that there were so many twenty something clubbers onboard but once we landed they all went off to San Antonio and we were bussed in the other direction! Phew!
We can't stress enough how good the holiday was. We booked last minute and got a great deal. The holiday ticked all the boxes for us. We would recommend this holiday to young families like us who want a chilled out pool break in the sun. Go on, book it!

Me and my partner and 2 kids (aged 11 and 3) returned from this hotel on 12 Aug. Overall, the hotel was very nice, kept clean and spotless and I cannot fault the maids who came every day to clean our room and provided a really efficient service.
The facilities in the room were very good and modernised, didn't expect there to be such mod cons i.e. microwave, plasma TV. There wasn't any restaurant in the hotel so we tried a few places nearby which were quite good, some of them you have to wait quite a bit for your food.
The beach is not situated far, just a shot walk down the road. And there are supermarkets dotted all over the place and a chemist situated nearby so we didn't have to take a bus or anything.
The only downside was our regret of booking trips through the reps. I was told at the welcome meeting by a First Choice rep that on one of the trips that the 2nd child could go free but was told something completely different by another rep who tried to overcharge us, in the end we didn't go on the trip but just to the water park which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
Another thing, the water in the hotel decided to turn brown on the last few days, no idea what happened there.
The entertainment wasn't up to that much, it looked a lot better at the hotel across the road from the Sirens!
I'm not sure if I would stay at this hotel again but it was enjoyable.

Just got back from Sirenis Atlantic apar thotel, what a lovely friendly place to stay, nothing too much trouble, our holiday reps were on hand if you needed them and were friendly.
Hotel entertainment in nights was ok but not long enough about hour to hour and half a night, the hotel compares Ludia and Michael were great though and would get everyone involved with there part, they made effort with everyone, such nice people.
Hotel has everything to make stay comfortable; I much appreciated the hairdryers in bathroom and the free air conditioning.
If you got children this place is ideal, if you’re just a couple like myself we enjoyed it to, would go back to this hotel. Would recommend the boat trip to Ibiza it was really good, hippy market was just a short distance away and worth a trip.
There are three beaches in area all great. Friendly relaxing and hot just what a holiday should be.

Just got back from 10 nights at the Atlantic. Our party consisted of my wife and I plus our son (16yrs) & daughter (13yrs).
The Atlantic is a really clean and well run hotel and although we were originally given the wrong size room (I must point out that this was not the fault of the hotel, but a mistake by Thomson's) we had a wonderful time.
I would like to say a special thank you to Caron the receptionist who was truly wonderful in helping sort out the problem with the room and as for all the rest of the staff there they will bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable.
I must say that the evening entertainment was not that great. On 3 of the 10 nights we were there they held a quiz which basically consisted of you answering some very silly questions and then having to drink neat Brandy (whether you were right or wrong!). I think I have seen enough parrot shows to last a lifetime, but there are plenty of other hotels in the resort that have shows on in the evening so we tended to go to either The Caribe, The Ereso or Charlie's bar.
If one night you want to go for a special meal I can recommend the Marbella (far end of the beach) this restaurant has a lovely courtyard which has a small fountain in it. Whilst out there my son had his 16th birthday and we went to the Mar Vent bar/restaurant (next door to Charlie's) to celebrate, the food is great and resonably priced and the portions are huge.
We also ate at the Miramar which is priced in between the two restaurants I have previously mentioned but is a great place to sit and people watch. If you are looking for the best burger in the resort then try the Montemar (right by the hotel) and if cocktails are your thing then there is no other place than the Jacaranda (just along from the harbour).
Don't make the mistake we made and buy an inflatable as soon as you get there to take into the swimming pool as the laws in Spain have changed recently and your not allowed them in the pool, also kids can't wear rubber rings they have to have arm bands.
Hope you have a wonderful stay at the Atlantic and say hello to Caron for me.

Brilliant hotel. Me and the girlfriend got a late deal for a great price, and we were very happy with it. A very family orientated hotel, which leads to a good atmosphere amongst everyone, although it is still very suitable for couples.
Michael and Lydia were excellent, providing entertainment throughout the day including table tennis, killer pool and the water basket, which became more and more popular throughout the week. Who can forget Michael's cries of "Get Him" "Attack" - priceless!
The rooms were cleaned everyday, and the accommodation was spotless and very modern. We had a great week.
And I'm still singing "Sunshine for me, Sunshine for you"!

Hi I'm Adam 21 years old , just been to Es Cana with my girlfriend.
I got to say the hotel was absolutely gorgeous we had a lovely apartment all modern with air conditioning, even had a plasma TV. The room was cleaned every single day, great if you hate tidying up like myself.
The staff where fantastic and always smiling, the local taxi service are really cheap and can get to San Antonio for about 25 euro, so don’t worry clubbers and only takes about 25 Min's to get there.
We was not pressured into buying any excursions like previous holidays I have been too, the Thompson staff where polite and very very helpful.
I personally would recommend this hotel to anybody going to Es Cana! I would say it was the best hotel over there without a doubt!
Thanks to all the staff at the hotel.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday. We stayed in one of the suites, they are very spacious, with 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a pull out double bed in the lounge area, very clean with maid service everyday.
The children’s entertainer is a bit rubbish, he likes to show you up and is just rather annoying! Plenty of places close by to eat and drink, most of the bars open until 4 am, although if you’re looking for exciting night life this place isn’t for you.
The beach is close by and is lovely but quite crowded in the day, and lookout for the jellyfish - there are quite a few in the sea! Some watersports on the beach reasonably priced, plenty of supermarkets and shops around. The cigarette shop is only open until 1 pm on a Sunday and this is one of the only places you can buy them from as the supermarkets don’t sell them.
Overall good holiday, very relaxing with really good weather. Some places to eat are; Rio's- english food, cooked and served by Tina who is lovely! Freddy and Julies for breakfast, but don’t expect a warm welcome as Freddy doesn’t do happy, and gets rather annoyed if you don’t read your order from top of the menu to the bottom, you will have to start again! Marvent- evening meals really good food, lots to choose from and reasonable. The Bulls Head- nice english food and friendly staff.
