We flew EasyJet and booked the hotel direct on the internet.
Taxi was going to cost 100 euros from the airport so we took the airport bus for 25 euros return each! Hotel is 10 minutes from the main rail and bus terminus so within easy reach.
Hotel quite small but excellent clean reasonable accommodation within easy walking distance of main tourist sights.
We walked a lot in Rome and managed to get tickets for an audience with the Pope which we thoroughly enjoyed. We visited the Vatican, Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Forum, Trevi Fountain, Ostia Antica (just outside Rome). St Peter’s is awesome! We were shown round by an American studying in Italy and she was taking tourists round the church as part of her degree. This we found very worth while as you if you walk around yourself you are not sure what you are looking at.
We found many good restaurants within easy reach of our hotel. WE found if you tried to speak the language that the locals would help you along. Our phrase book was used constantly! We bought a 4 day ticket for the local buses which enabled us to hop on and off all the time. We had an amazing time - it’s a city you can return to again and again.

Lovely affordable Hotel, helpful, friendly staff. Hotel situated in a great location with easy access to all the sites. The main train station, Termini, is only a short walk from the hotel as is the main bus terminal.
The airport shuttle bus drop off is the terminal station. A bus pass is a must for cheap and easy travel all round this fabulous city. I will come back to Rome and stay at Giubileo Hotel.
