This was a last minute holiday booking due to a change of jobs. Having read the reviews left by other visitors, we were dreading what we were about to walk into, but we were both pleasantly surprised and would definitely consider going back.
We are a couple in our early 30's with a 2 year old. OK the apartment wasn't huge and the cooking facilities were not great but ours was spotless and we are of the opinion that while on holidays we don't cook.
The Miramar shopping precinct is across the road with great eateries (apart from that American steakhouse place that we walked out of!) We ate in the hotel twice just for convenience on the 1st two nights due to finding our feet. It was alright wouldn't rave about it but it was edible and we weren't sick!
The entertainment in the hotel was typical cabaret stuff not what we are into, but my son loved dancing away and there was a kiddies disco every night. The reps worked so hard every night.
The pool area was good, never had a problem getting a bed and no problem with cleanliness. The hotel is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the beach and 15 to 20 mins from the centre of the town. If you go out the back of Miramar and towards Dunnes Stores there is a fab shoe warehouse shop past Lidl on the right and keep walking on and you will see the water park across the pedestrian bridge on the right. All in all a 20 minute walk.
Also would highly recommend the zoo in the centre of the town had a wonderful time. Found a lot of things within walking distance, it was our first holiday we didn't feel the need to hire a car. Hope that you enjoy it as much as we did.

Hotel quite out of the way no near by restaurants and bars selection of. Food was poor but it was ok room was spacious with 2 adults and 3 kids 15, 12, and 7.
Kids loved the pool but didn’t like the walk into centre so mainly stayed at hotel.
Entertainment staff tried so hard but had only been there a week before us as they had just let the last staff go and there was only 2 of them, the equipment they had to use was useless as the mikes kept breaking, cds sticking, felt sorry for them kids club was great girls fabulous, first time my daughter had actually joined.
Down side of being next to the Mirimar is that you end up going in every day.

Just back from our week in Spain, we (2 parents,3over 18's ,one child) arrived to the Fuengirola beach apartments on Sunday morning. Now we wouldn’t be picky about accommodation but initially the smell was a dead give away that this place was an absolute dump.
The pool area was absolutely filthy, flies everywhere because of the dirt.
The 2 bedroom apartment was extremely basic, on opening the front door there was a bed directly in front of it, the door didn’t lock, fridge was out of order, the safe would not re-open for several hours after first use, there was a jagged nail sticking up out of the floor which one of us cut our feet badly on!
The floor was covered in a layer of grime and there was a very unpleasant smell! No exaggeration. Noisy drunk neighbours fighting until all hours just added the already great atmosphere.
Also the corridors, staircase and lifts were absolutely filthy. On the first meeting with the reps the morning after arrival we were greeted with 3 young reps in the main bar. About 20 of us new arrivals literally just sat gob smacked as they ran around squirting us with water pistols as if they were doing a kids club!
The pool side bar was very basic and the food was utterly revolting and raw!! The beach is about 5 mins walk down the road under a bridge which isn’t as bad as people are making out, although the water under the bridge is back water of some sort. But not sewerage. The beach was clean enough.
After 2 days we had enough, and one of the reps helped us to get transferred to a new resort in Belamadina called sunset beach, this was top quality with stunning surroundings so we managed to salvage the rest of the holiday at least!
It was pricy on top of the original fee we paid but definitely worth it to get out of the absolute dump that is Fuengirola beach!!! All in all....we will never be returning there again!!!!

I thought this hotel was nice, the rooms were spacious and they were clean. The entertainment could have been a lot better and it was more for kids I suppose.
The staff were very kind and friendly they would talk to you and ask you how you are. They were jus so friendly and nice people. The food wasn’t the best choice I suppose but there was still some English food in fish alley which is about a 20 minute walk away until you can get to go to some English restaurants.
The good thing was it wasn’t very lively of a night when you were sitting in your apartment were as further up by the beach it was a lot louder.
There is the Miramar shopping centre which is just over the road and there are restaurants in there and also a pet shop and sports and designer shops. There is a big supermarket in there called eroski it’s a bit similar to Asda but there isn’t as much food choice in there than the Asda or Tesco.
The pool was nice and there is quite a bit of space round the pool. The pool is more for kids as it is shallow and the deep end is 1.70m but I did love the holiday.
The beach is nice but the only thing is that at the edges by the sea there are shells and pebbles which hurt your feet and the sand was very hot. We had about 2 days were it had rained but the rain wasn’t on all of the 2 days.
The water park in Mijas looks good, if you see anyone with scratch cards then just walk away from them because they waste 3 hours of your holiday. There is also black people they get called looky looky men they try to sell you belts and DVDs which aren’t real so I wouldn’t buy anything off them.
The weather was lovely and I had a great time too.

I was very disappointed in my choice of holiday this year. In my party there was 2 adults and 2 children.
We arrived on the Sunday lunch time to find the room was not ready, we had nearly 2 hours to wait, I thought this was excessive due to checkout time being 10.00am.
We then decided to eat in the restaurant that evening; there was a Sunday carvery on. It was a total shambles, the food was awful, and the service was no better.
We were woken up one morning to chattering maids at 7.45am who I had to ask to be quiet.
The holiday reps were not very helpful, they were dull and not very helpful. However, the reception staff very very friendly and helpful.
Overall, I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone who was particular about most things.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 week in June. We booked a last minute break and got a bargain. The hotel was perfectly fine. The room had more than enough space for the 2 of us. We had a great view and the room was very clean.
We went out every night into the centre of town which took about 20 minutes to walk. A taxi back was about 7 euros. The pool bar doesn't do any sort of breakfast, which was a shame if you wanted to sleep in and the nightlife in the bar was terrible. But there are plenty of places nearby to have a good evening out.
It is very family orientated but this doesn't intrude on your holiday if you don't want it to. I would recommend this hotel as a place to spend the day by the pool and sleep at night if you haven't got kids. If you have it's all round entertainment!

The hotel is not near a beach it's a good 10 minute walk away - difficult if you have elderly family or wheelchair.
The cleanliness of the Hotel was excellent especially changing of the towels and bed linen. It's near a big shopping Mall where a supermarket was open to buy all the necessary items e.g. break, drinks, tea.
The hotel beech bar near the swimming pool is awful a missed opportunity by the Hotel, food is very poor, poor service and very pricey - London prices. The bar in the Hotel had no soul, staff had no connection with people they were serving at the bar also London prices for drinks.
The children's club, no one came and explained it to us even though we had a 3 year old with us another missed opportunity. Lots of children when we stayed in early June in the bar area very late at night 1.00pm running around in the reception area while parents getting drunk, big travelling family staying at hotel.
I would not go back and stay as it is not near the beech a lot of families were disappointed by this - the pool area very packed towels left on beach chair early in the morning not much space by the children's swimming pool, pool furniture dirty looking and not much going on in the day at all, boring.

My family and I had a pleasant journey to the brilliant Fuengirola Beach Apartments.
We felt that the apartments them self were great the swimming pool was very nice and with only a 10 minuet journey on the bus to the town centre everyone was happy.
The nearest beach was a couple of minutes down the road so we could not only use the pool but we could go for a swim in the warm sea.
The entertainment's very good for the younger kids but for the adults there was a not much entertainment at all.
In the day there was water sports and crazy golf to be played. The whole family enjoyed the two weeks we had in the Costa del Sol.

We read reviews about the hotel and surrounding area, and thought what the hell, we need a holiday anyway.
We went for two weeks, had our ups and downs, but overall would definitely go again and recommend to friends and family.
Our room was spacious and very clean. We never had to look for the maid, as it seemed that she was always on the doorstep. Our towels were changed more than once a week. We have a 14 year old boy and 3 year old girl, clean towels are a necessity.
We found all the staff of the hotel extremely helpful, kind and caring. Our son had an accident whilst there, which required a hospital stay, and I'm glad it didn't happen in England. The hotel staff were superb, the hospital wonderful and clean, and he was seen to immediately.
The hotel Reps were great, nothing seemed too much for them, and they kept going all day, and night.
The cooking conditions were not that wonderful in the apartment, but we managed to make full meals without too much complaint.
The beach was not as much a trek that I feared, but a pity about the wind. It was great to have the Miramar shopping complex across the road, open till 10pm, we never ran short for long.
Overall, regardless of the accident, we had a great time, and we would go back in a blink.

16 of us went here in August/September last year for a week and it was brilliant. It was a family holiday, and we do argue quite a bit anyway, but there were only minor upsets, and nothing to do with the hotel!
Most of my family are quite hard to please so I am surprised that we had such a great time, but the hotel was brilliant, and the reps were especially good. We had kids of 11 years old, and my nan who is over 70, and all sorts of ages in between, and we all had an excellent week. Me and my cousins are in our late teens early twenties, and even we enjoyed happy hour with bingo! The reps had many activities during the day which loads of people joined in, volleyball, football and water games which kept the youngest and even some of the oldest entertained!
Someone complained about how far away the beach was but it did say in the first choice brochure, it actually says the beach is at least 15mins away, and not the easiest route to get there. We read this before we booked the holiday so my elderly nan just took a cab there while the rest of us walked, simple!
The food in the restaurant wasn't brilliant but ok for an easy meal. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Anyone who is looking to party all night, I suggest going down to Linekers, the PR's will get you free shots, and the fishbowl is recommended!
Although most bars do the same deals so just get as many free drinks as you ca before settling in one place! Pool area was clean, although I did get a piece of glass stuck in my foot, but the lifeguard administered first aid immediately, and swept the offending glass from the ground! Brilliant holiday definitely would go back!

There was lots of noise from the main road. There was a smell coming from the river. Pool area was dirty. Hotel rooms were small dark and smelly. The bedding was poor. The dining room dirty and food always cold, the microwave was rusty.
TV did not work. The bath dirty and stained, the only good point was the toilet and shower which where clean. A good game would be hunt the cleaner, because in my week there, I never found her and she did not find my room.

After reading several poor reviews for these apartments I was worried before I even got to the airport!!
When we arrived, the check=in was immediate and excellent. The staff pleasant. My family consists of me, my husband, and 3 children aged girl 9, and 2 boys, 7 and 3.
We didn’t bother with the welcome meetings as we roughly knew what we wanted to do.
Although the reps were at their desk every day as stated so when we had questions to ask we got a fast response.
The apartments were perfect! Two bedrooms. And 2 further couches in the lounge that could be made up to be beds if necessary.
The eating area was ample room and also a large balcony where we occasionally had our lunches.
The kids club was on for age’s upto 8 although my daughter of 9 did go a couple of times and had great fun.
The promenade was a 5 minute walk away which is perfect. Along the prom there are plenty of bars and restaurants. You can walk as much or as little as you want along the promenade.
Overall a fantastic holiday! 10/10!
