Just returned from this place and was a bit worried after reading some of the reports from the clowns who gave it 2 and 3 out of 10 but it was fantastic and deserves a TEN.
From check in to check out the place was a pleasure to be at,everyone polite and helpful the apartment clean with good ammenities although its only for showering and sleeping really anyway.
It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and about 20 mins to the main centre but a lovely walk along the promenade.
A supermarket is across the road for all your needs and the bus stop is outside if you couldnt face the walk into town and only 1 euro.
The centre is lively and has lots of restaurants to choose from and some great bars for your drinks after.
The entertainment in the hotel was fantastic both day and night and the entertainment reps were brilliant at organising things for both adults and kids to do during our stay.
If i had to say anything negative it would be that i never tried the restaurant in the complex for an evening meal as there were too many in the town to sample but the food at the poolside bar was lovely so i would imagine the same applied later.
There are lots of lucky lucky men in the town centre selling you allsorts but they didnt bother us and we had a laugh with some of them during our stay.
Also only saw one scratchcard man at the market but avoided him easily.
Overall a fantastic week and really didnt want to leave and have already started looking for next year now and might even take the kids this time !!!

we have just come back from one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in years!
everything you need is in the hotel, or in the shopping center 1min walk away
they do have internet access, a resteraunt and buffet breakie is 40 euro for the whole week, they have entertainment every night a fab bar with happy hour 5-6 and when you ask for a single they pour you a double! and you get one free! for half price!
there are vending machines a kids club which is safe! and they go out of their way for anyone with disability or mobility problems.
its not really a 3* hotel the staff are so good there it should be a 5 *
i have to mention ABBEY, DAVE AND JORDAN who work practically round the clock entertaining you and your kids, they are absolute stars! they do daily activities ie bingo polo killer pool and datrs table footbal and they do some of the shows the other shows the other nightly shows are by outside entertainers.
the pools are so clean and there are loads of sun beds with shade covers if needed for the little ones.
fuengerola beach appartmants are basic but everything you will need is there! it is spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly, and it is out of the way from the noisy crowds but if you want a bit of noise its only 5 mins away 6.00 euro in a taxi or 20mis walking, to centeral fuengerola.the beach is literally around the corner and over the bridge and your there, there is a local market halfway up the main strip behind the casino.... go there for all your gifts and bargains! but keep it a secret or they wll put the prices up!
fish alley in the centeral square is the place to eat with 3 course meals at an average cost of £5pp, however we found the supermacardo in the miramar shopping center 1 min walk from the hotel, very handy, the resteraunts there are very nice and cheap, there is also the supermarket and for cerial bread milk cookies ham salad and nibblies it cost us 20.00 euro, but the piesta risistance is the wok buffet, all you can eat for as long as you like cooked fresh in front of you, chinese lovers will be in heaven! 12.95 evening and 10 euros for lunch! its a 5 min walk away, well it was with a 4 year old in tow. you have to go there!
we went on the day trip to see the andalusian horses, which was lovely, oh and it picks you up from the affore mentioned wok buffet, the rep will tell you to wait outside the wok, you may find it a bit strange but trust us they will pick u up right utside the front door.
we also went on the gibralta trip, including the boat and rock trip, it was great, well the shopping and the boat trip was, we were on the boad for 1.30 hours and saw 3 schools of dolphin an flying fish, and then went up the rock of girraltar on the cable car NOT FOR ONE WHO IS AFRAID OF HIGHTS!!!!! IM NOT AND I FELT A BIT WOBBLY!
but it has great views, the shopping is soooooo cheap a bottle of whisky £6 200 lamberts £10 its great, but yo can only takeyour limit out yes they do check in customs!
we went on our travels all around fuengerola waling in taxies and on the little tour train which you can catch outside the casino on the main strip, and it is so easy to find your way around. well worth it too!
i highly reccomend this holiday to anyone with kids! couples who dont mind kids and the grans and grandads too will enjoy it!

An excellent holiday. It was our second time going to Fuengirola Beach hotel.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment was good.
Very clean and tidy. Can't fault the hotel
The shopping mall was right beside the hotel so there was always something to do.
Definetley reccomend going to Gibralter for the day and also Morocco.
Don't book with First Choice though, book with one of the travel shops in town; they charged half the price.
Weather was nice and would definetley go back again!
The only bad thing was that a gypsie stole 50 euros off me! so be careful.
and also people coming round trying to sell you things but just say no and walk away.
Loads of english places to eat aswell.
all in all was a great holiday.

JUST BACK 3 DAYS !!! was are 1st time in Fuengirola, an we all loved the place..
it was me my husband an 2 daughters age 6 & 8, the girls loved the apartment's, the pool, an the kids entertainers you could not fault them, they were magic !!! i personally thought the rooms could of been cleaner!! as i spend the 1st nite bleaching and scrubbing everything, i also had 2 brush out the whole room as there was broken glass on the floors, which wasn't good for 2 children running about, also every other day we would of got a bad smell in are room, so we ate out the whole time... was very hard to find nice food specially with 2 kids an as you no kids are fussy, but if your into toasties the restaurant in the apartment was very good as you got chips an salad with it..it is a bit of a walk into the town, but it was a nice walk an me an my husband enjoyed it but kids wernt happy some times as it was so warm.. the zoo was fantastic we all really enjoyed it!! there is a lot of things to do but in 7 days we didn't get the time. we will defo be going back but this time ill have a couple of packs of flash wipes with me !!!!

Was a bit wary after reading some of the reviews about cleanliness, but needn't have worried.
The room was clean and plenty of room for the 3 adults and 2 kids. Cooking facilities were basic, toaster, 2 hot plates and microwave, but as we spent most of the time eating out it didn't matter.
Towels and linen chaged twice a week and room cleaned every couple of days.
One of the lifts did breakdown for two days, which seems regular reading other reviews.
Hotel staff good, as were the reps with the information you wanted.
Can recommend the area known locally as 'Fish Alley' for eating out, containing approx 50 restaurants in close proximity with all tastes catered for. Only problem was the 'lucky lucky' men trying to sell you their gear every 5 mins while you were eating.
Only bumped into one 'lottery ticket' guy, and yes we won the top prize, a waste of your day trying to sell you a 'time share'. We ripped the ticket up and left him standing there.
Watch out on the pedestrian crossings, you don't have right of way.
Took trip to Gibraltar and found it a good place to top up your ciggy and alcohol allowance. 200 Superkings £10 and a litre of Jim Beam £5.95. Only problem is that is your full allowance you can bring out of Gibraltar in a month.
All in all it was a good holiday and we didn't see a drop of rain. Would definitely go back.

Just come back from the most relaxing holiday in 8 years.
We travel as a group of 4 adults 5kids,13,12,9,8,& 2years olds & one 8months old baby.
The hotel is brilliant 10/10.
Would advice to book a poolview, as the other rooms are facing a road but a very quiet road.
On arrival we were a bit disappointed as there is no other hotels or small local shop but next door is a massive shopping complex with alot of really good shops & places to eat.
The beach is about 10min walk, very beautiful clear water alot of sunbeds cost about 8 euros for a sun umbrella & two beds with cushion.
The children loved it by the river they saw so many kinds of fishs, on our 1st visit to the beach there was a stingray just swimming along the sea near the shore, it was amazing.
The hotel is in easy reach by taxi or bus to the local waterpark (which was BRILLIANT), also i would recommend the theme park easy to get to by train, the Zoo was a bit of a let down but the children enjoyed it.
The hotel has two pools one large pool which isn't to deep at the shallow end, the small pool was excellent and believe it or not there is enough sunbeds to go round & no matter what time we reach the pool we always got a space (NO FIGHTING)
The Kids entertainers are very hard working the children are NEVER short of things to do (i never saw my older kids all day ,Only when they wanted money).
The resturant food was nice & the pool bar was good.
The rooms where cleaned ever other day and beds changed twice a week.
If your looking for a relaxing holiday by the pool this is ideal.
The beachfront resturant are a bit of a walk away but is a nice walk along the beachfront.
All in all i would say i will differently be visiting this hotel again the staff from the hotel and First Choice were always going out of there to make our stay as relaxing as possible.

Just spent a week at this hotel with 5 teeange girls & they were all crying on the day we went home! The only criticism is that it's a brisk walk away from the town but we didn't feel the need to leave the hotel. The entertainers Davey,Jordan & Abby worked from midday until midnight keeping everyone amused & all the kids loved them. The hotel is spotless & next door to a huge shopping complex. Any tips would be - don't go for the Sunday night carvery in the hotel dining room as it's rubbish, every other night it's really cheap, the shopping centre is closed all day Sunday & the essentials sold at reception are a rip off,the water park is a 10 minute walk away but the reps will tell you to get the bus from the shopping centre & finally when you're coming home if you haven't been to Malaga airport before & your kids might be hungry then take some sandwiches & drinks as the cafe is a rip off,10 Euros for a burger & 4 Euros for a bottle of coke

Went for a week in May with husband and two children aged 6 and 3. Absolutely loved it! We arrived at 10pm and were welcomed by the friendly entertainment staff in the bar. The 2-bed apartment was spotless, and the rooms cleaned every few days! The kids played either in the small pool, or the wooden play area, while we relaxed around the pool. They enjoyed the kids club too, which they only went to a couple of times, but we got a few hours off to totally relax! The entertainment in the evenings was great fun for the kids - they ran around with newly made friends till midnight! The carousel was a hit with them all - you'd pop a euro in it and kids would appear from nowhere and hang on!!! I think the motor burnt out near the end of the holiday - hope its fixed now! This was a real family orientated hotel, where the entertainment staff do genuinely love and care about the kids -its not 'just a job'! As soon as we can, we're booking another holiday - this is the first time ever i've wanted to go back to the same place twice!

My husband and I along with our 2 girls (5 + 2) stayed in Fuengirola Beach for a week in May. We really enjoyed ourselves, everything was spotless. Lifeguard was very good around the pool. Entertainment was great at night, catered for everyone. Receptionists were very helpful. Was not overly impressed with the reps, but the ones that did the shows and kids clubs were lovely. Was great to have the shopping centre next store. Lovely shops and places to eat in Fuengirola. We felt you would need to get a taxi either to or from the resort as it was too long a walk otherwise. Overall a very good place, met some lovely familes

Reading some of the reviews about this hotel i was a bit worried. However when we arrived the hotel was clean and so were the rooms. The room was a bit small but that was only because we had 6 people in it. All through the week we had amazing weather. We found the pool area lovely, and the food and drinks at the pool bar responsibly priced. The reps were great and you could see how hard they worked both in the day and at night. They were very helpful towards us. We went into the town most nights for food, which was only a 10 minutes walk. The restaurants in town varied from great to not so good. The shopping center across the road was fantastic. I would also advise people on going to the water park and the zoo (which are all in walkable distance). Overall we all loved our holiday and did not want to come home. I would defiantly recommend going and there is something for all ages (i went with family from ages ranging from 1 to 35).

I went with some friends from college, it was amazing. After reading the reviews on here before we went i was pretty worried. The shopping center litterally next door has just about everything you could want and is open till 10 most evenings. The bars and clubs along the beach were always fun. Back at the hotel JORDAN ABBEY AND DAVEY were the best entertainment you could ask for, they come round to chat to everyone, we made quite good friends with them, shame we'll probably never see them again :(
