After reading the reviews written previously, I felt like I needed to write this.
Yes, it isn’t a 5 star hotel standard, which is precisely why it is a 3 star, but there’s nothing wrong with a 3 star hotel, especially not this one.
The food is fine; it’s well cooked, always warm and always available. What more could you want? There is plenty of choice, I can only imagine that other people are very fussy and hard to please.
The hotel is in a brilliant location, a 2 minute walk to the beach, next to a golf park (expensive! opt for the cheaper one down the main road. much more fun!) And near to all of the shops.
The weather was brilliant for October, I was expecting to have to wear jeans, but was definitely shorts weather all week!
As I went in the final week of October, this hotel closed down the day we left, but we were allowed to have our final dinner in the Palma Nova Palace next door. And by the way, it was no where near as nice as the Palma Nova.
There was less choice for food, and the pool area was tiny and had no sunlight. The only upside to the palace was that the staff were a lot friendlier. They could have been a bit nicer at the Palma Nova!
But all in all, it was a brilliant holiday for the price we paid, but if 3 star isn’t good enough for you, maybe you should look elsewhere.

I NEED ANOTHER HOLIDAY!! This did not turn out to be the cheap last minute deal we hoped for. The food was so poor that we had to eat out every day. The staff were around but not particularly helpful. The place is shabby & dirty & if you can ignore it you might enjoy it. I was glad to get home.

From the outset it is made quite clear by the hotel and tour operator that this is a 3 star hotel, I went with my family with this in mind and was expecting a basic hotel with basic facilities.
When we arrived at the hotel I was very pleasantly surprised at how very clean the hotel was, both inside and out. It was obvious that cleanliness is a priority and considering how low paid the housekeeping staff probably are I think they deserve a pat on the back.
As regards the food, it wasn't outstanding but I wasn't expecting Egon Ronay or Michelin standard, but it was more than acceptable. For those who expect more may I just remind you it's a 3 star hotel! The food was always well presented and the dining room was well maintained by friendly staff.
Overall, for the money, it was a good holiday and I would go back to the Hotel Palma Nova. I think the staff were very helpful. They made an effort with the children which is more than I can say for some hotels we have been to, and bearing in mind the amount of rude and downright ignorant British people they have to continually put up with (I was very embarrassed on more than one occasion) I think they all deserved a medal.
On behalf of my family I would like to say a big thank you to Hotel Palma Nova for what was a very nice holiday.

What can I say? Wish I only read these reviews before booking. Food was terrible as was the entertainment.
The pool was the only good thing as it was freezing cold and the place was clean.
I won’t be going back with my family.

Ok so the hotel was really nice. We really enjoyed the entertainment, could not fault the entertainment or hotel staff at all. Food was not nice, did not eat in the hotel every night.
Hotel is nice and clean although the cleaning staff do not knock before entering your rooms, they just open the door and walk in so if your wearing nothing or in the shower then they will see you as I found out when I was in the bathroom changing into my bikini when the bathroom door was opened and there stood was the cleaner trying to enter the bathroom and another into the actual hotel room. So you have to be careful when it comes to that. Although I think they should knock before entering.
All in all they hotel was good, lovely and always tidy and always lively in the day. With all inclusive you get all your drinks so can’t fault that as they bar staff where great and always happy and you can get any drink you want from them.
I would definitely say you go there but I wouldn’t recommend going all in unless you have the money to eat out most nights.

We have just come back from the Hotel Palma Nova having spent a truly brilliant week there. To be honest we weren’t too impressed with the food for the first few days, but it did get better as the week went on, and by the time we were half way in we had absolutely no complaints.
The rooms were basic, but clean ( the hotel is due for refurbishment next year and that includes air con in all rooms) There were 2 bars open when we were there, the poolside bar is open from 10am til midnight, and the inside bar is open from 6pm to midnight. The entertainment staff Per, Will and Emilie are excellent and work really hard and very long hours. Entertainment is provided between 11am and 4pm, then from 8.30pm to midnight.
Daytime activities for adults were things like Archery, Rifle and Pistol shooting, Javelots, Crazy Golf, Darts, Pool, Water Polo etc. for kids they had skittles, shuffle board, pool, pony rides, T-shirt painting, Water Polo and all sorts of other things to keep them amused. In the evenings there was a kids mini disco from 8:30 til 9pm, then they had a house of bingo (good cash prizes) tickets costing 1.5 euros each or 9 euros for 6 tickets, a line was paying about, 40 euros and a house about 200 euros. At 10pm the main entertainment came on and varied for local acts (tribute artists, parrot show, comedians etc)and some nights it was a quiz or a competition.
If you get a chance to see Per, Will and Emilie do the Cabaret night you will not be disappointed, they were truly excellent. Had it not been for the fact that we have already booked our holiday for next year, we would be going back. We are now eagerly awaiting the summer 2007 brochures to go on sale and we will be going back, but probably for a fortnight next time instead of 1 week.
We were so sorry to have to go home after a week here, and we made some good friends while we were there. There were comments about the female barmaid Pacqui never smiling, if you try hard enough you can get her to smile, but its not easy!! If you can get on the top floor (7) between 708 and 715 you will also get a brilliant view. These rooms overlook the pool and you can also see right out to sea as well.
If you are a smoker then please be aware that the inside of the hotel (except your room and balcony, including the bar area where they do the evening entertainment, is non smoking, and you will have to go outside. Being a smoker myself, it didn’t really bother me, it was nice to go back to my room at the end of the night without my eyes stinging.

The resort itself is fantastic and just a short walk to Magalluf if you want liven things up.
As for the hotel...... One plug socket in the room, no aircon provided so I can only imagine how stuffy it would get in the summer, constant noise throughout the night, no tea making facilities in the room, a TV with one English speaking channel, bar staff miserable and look at you like something on the bottom of your shoe if you ask for a 'bottle' of beer as it means they have to walk 10 feet into another room to get it.
They have only two lifts that fit two people three at a push and are the slowest lifts in Spain. The food was generally acceptable but it was unorganised chaos when the doors opened and 200 people wanted feeding.
The pool was absolutely freezing and sunbeds were in disrepair, evening entertainment was varied and the best thing about the hotel was the discount for the most superb crazy golf course adjacent which provided endless entertainment.
Not worthy of its 3* rating and would not recommend this hotel in any way shape or form.

Just came back from this holiday and I wasn’t very impressed with this hotel at all. The air conditioning was broken so it was absolutely sweltering indoors especially in the dining room.
I found the staff very miserable apart from those on reception, the rooms were cleaned every day but the maids kept on forgetting to give you the right amount of towels and I wasn’t very impressed with the food. It was always warm and never hot and there wasn’t really a great variety of food. If you don’t like salads and veal then don’t go there.
Totally loved the place itself, Palma nova, but for being all inclusive it turned out to be one of the dearest holidays I’ve had due to eating out and finding combatable pubs to drink in with air conditioning.

I wouldn’t advise anyone to use this Hotel - reasons listed below:
No air conditioning in rooms. So noisy at night - ALL NIGHT - no sleep if you overlooked the pool area - guests using pool all night long - hotel staff did not address the problem despite several complaints. The Airtours rep was unaware of the problem - so she said.
Miserable staff - although Maribelle - Entertainments - was very pleasant and jolly.
Pool in disrepair - tiles lifting from bottom causing umpteen guests to suffer cuts to feet, some quite badly. The staff were completely unconcerned. Divers in the pool most days trying to repair it. Found out from a work colleague who visited same hotel last year, that they had the same problem in Aug 2003. Nothing has been done. It beggars belief that the tour operator and staff at the hotel can let the situation continue. I witnessed several children with cuts to feet, some quite bad!
Security is rubbish - several thefts from the hotel whilst we were there especially on the fifth floor
Pool area dirty. Lots of broken chairs and broken sunbeds. Food lacked variety - same snacks day in day out. In need of a refurbishment.
Advertised 3 bars, but only one bar was ever open due to 'staff shortages' we were told
Can’t be bothered to say any more - Palma Nova is a nice resort. Just don’t go to this hotel!

The hotel was well situated for the beach in a quieter part of Palma Nova. Staff friendly enough, service was good clean rooms, with air con, electric, operated by door card (but any card will do).....Not a hotel for kids or 18 - 30's majority of guests over 60! Try and get a sea view room, as the back of the hotel overlooks residential apartments.
Food buffet breakfast and dinner, not as good as some restaurants but O K.
Pool area small and a suntrap, but with the Med just yards away no problem!
They have music there but if you want more "life" The Stadium Show Bar is about 10 minutes away on foot, with Karaoke and live tribute bands.
There is also Golf Fantasia a 54 hole crazy golf course open all day and most of the night, nearby. my opinion this is a must

I've just returned from a week at this hotel and can't believe the previous reviews.
Bedroom had air conditioning that worked, was cleaned, and had fresh towels daily - pity only English Channel was CNN, but it was nice to see the rain back home.
Food was plentiful and always available - snacks starting 30 minutes after meals ended. The food quality wasn't brilliant, but there was always something appetising - and numerous salads.
Never saw big queues at mealtimes
Drinks were free flowing at all times, but I don't like lager or local spirits so didn't take advantage of this.
Staff were friendly, especially entertainment crew.
The hotel was very clean, with the pool area straightened out & cleaned each evening when the pool closed (7pm). Big notices telling guests not to reserve sun loungers were totally ignored, with some people (British, not German) putting towels out by midnight, and all beds covered by 8am.
Pleasantly quiet location, but only 200 yards to the sea front where numerous bars, shops, restaurants could be found. The 3 beaches of Palma Nova are beautifully clean.
I'd have preferred B&B as I like to sample local bars/restaurants, but couldn't find this offered when I booked.
I'd go back.
