Located just a minutes’ walk from Earls Court Underground Station, this hotel is really convenient for shopping and the central attractions.
The hotel is a classic large Georgian terrace type hotel. It is clean and served my purpose of being close to central London but not overcharging for the privilege of being in London. My room was clean but a little dated but nothing that concerned me too much.
The bar and restaurant served good food and was always staff by happy smiling people. Two choices of menu were available to guests. Quite surprisingly for London, the bar menu didn’t have anything over £10 on it and I did enjoy a nice Chilli Con-Carne for £5.95.
The restaurant menu was slightly more upmarket with prices starting at about £12 for a main course. The hotel had a lot of foreigners staying the night I was there. Mostly Americans and South Africans. I guess this proves that it is a good value hotel.
If you’re after something close to the centre of London that’s clean and tidy but not 4*+ and doesn’t charge the earth then this has to be a good choice. I booked a single B&B via the net for £74, whilst the advertised price behind reception was £120!
I feel I have found a little gold mine with this hotel and will definitely be using it again.
