7 / 10
May 2012, Joan H

We have just come back from this Hotel and food and cleanliness of hotel was good but the noise until 1 a.m very rowdy every night too much! There seemed to be a lot of groups of men who were there to drink themselves silly.

we have stayed here 4 times and most of the comments are true
(even the bad ones).if you compare this hotel to say self catering for two people the all inclusive part costs about twenty quid a day.for this we had on average 4 nescafes,6 soft drinks (it was hot and sunny)4 beers,a brandy .breakfast, lunch and a four course evening meal.
this would cost you 60 euros in a local bar.
this hotel is fantastic value.
even the bad comments say food good rooms clean, yes the pool is small but usually empty.
have your meals then have a walk out for a drink and entertainment.you will still have had your moneys worth.

Just returned from a long weekend here.
Check in was around 1am & we were greeted by a very friendly efficient receptionist, He didn’t take long to explain everything put on out AI wristbands & away we went, found our room without problem which was on the 7th floor overlooking the hotel next door. Our room was adequate & very clean although the beds a little firm for us but either way we slept well & can honestly say we heard no noise from other guests. Air con wasn’t very efficient & when the temperatures soar I can se it being a problem.
The food was for the most part very good but I did have one day were I really didn’t like the majority of what was on offer but I still didn’t go hungry & they do serve snacks in the restaurant at set times so I made use of that facility. Tea/coffee & Juices are available at breakfast but not fizzy drinks. Fizzy drinks are available at lunch & dinner but not tea/coffee & juices. At snack times Tea/coffee & juices are available but not fizzy. Wine is always available ???
The staff are really nice they are friendly & most of them have smiles on their faces. We are strong believers in treating all staff politely & that’s what we got back in return. Drinks were plentiful & we always got served very quickly, there was never a shortage of bar staff & they constantly cleared tables of empty glasses.
The entertainment room layout is very strange it is a long room with the stage etc at one end so everyone not sat in the immediate area of the stage has to be content with viewing the proceedings via the television link up, entertainment team work really hard & are always smiling.
We had no problem with the behaviour of any guest of any age in the hotel the groups of younger guests that were there all got on well with each other & had a laugh & a joke. The pool area is very very small & compact so you really feel on top of each other all the time so when anyone starts having a laugh it feels like they are being rowdy when they are not. The pool & terrace area are not the best feature of the hotel & I would prefer the beach, which wasn’t that far away.
On check out we did not leave the hotel till 9pm & were not able to keep our room due to the hotel being full but they did provide people with 2 courtesy rooms to make use of which was really good & we got fresh towels after each person used it.
Myself & hubby are in our late forties & can still party with the rest of em & chose this hotel for its AI over 18's & close enough to the fantastic nightlife so we dont consider ourselves past it or in the least bit stuffy. We had a brilliant stay here & met some very nice people. We would not hesitate to return or recommend too our friends
Palmanova & Magaluf are wonderful places fantastic Beaches nightlife, restaurants pubs etc but are constantly being ruined by the amount of Hen/Stag parties that are vulgar & disgusting. They come in their droves & completely take over these wonderful family resorts. If I had taken small children there I would have hated for them to have seen some of the sights that we saw on a daily basis in & around the resorts, Im not talking late at night but during the day & these people should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. This is not what I call letting their hairs down & just enjoying themselves it goes far beyond what most people consider common decency. I don’t doubt that these people all have good jobs back home & consider themselves to be sensible people but once they set foot in these resorts then all sense goes out the window & they turn into things that even their own families wouldn’t recognise. I for one would be happy for a massive crack down on this behaviour but I think due to tourism being at a low they are taking the money were they can get it & in the current climate I cannot say I blame them.
Im sorry if I sound like I am generalising & apologise to the groups of Hens & Stags that were there having a fantastic time but causing no problems to anyone.

Firstly i'd like to compliment the cleanliness of the hotel and the overall friendly attitude of the staff but as for other guests it ruined the holiday for me and my friends. In particular one group of girls who thought it was appropriate to parade around with their breasts out and splash my friend Mavis in the pool and as for the noise they made it was horrendous they should've been removed from the hotel from day one.

If your over the age of 50 then this is the place to go, no fun, no noise, no nothing. Ive just got back from a weeks holiday with 8 of my friends and can honestly say that this hotel ruined the holiday. We did not book this hotel, we were moved on arrival to the Palma Palace without reason & did not expect to be complained about everyday of the holiday!! Dont get me wrong it is a very clean & pretty hotel & the food is lovely but to put a group of 9 girls who are aged between 18-25 in this hotel was ridiculous!! No sunbathing topless, no noise to be made in the day or night (although we weren't rude) no leaving a pack of cigarettes on the table??!!! no wearing sunhats in the pool, no inflatables (even when no-one is in the pool) Ive never known something so pathetic! This hotel seemed to carry on letting large young groups stay which doesnt make sense when breathing was frowned upon. Although this hotel states it is a over 18's hotel it is far from a young persons ideal hotel. DO NOT book this hotel!!!

Me and 8 of my frends booked a girly holiday at the Hi mimosa hotel palma nova (part of the hotel chain)this was a more livelier hotel with younger people and families closer to Magaluf strip, when we arrived we were moved to palma nova palace for reasons they could not explain it seemed to be a 60+ hotel not welcome to groups, we were confused as to why they moved us there, we had permanent complaintS because of noise, sunbathing topless, lilos in the pool, our topics of coveration around the pool, talking to eachother over balconys, our dress code when going to dinner and we even had the police called to our hotel rooms as we had boys in the room (boys which were staying at the same hotel). The staff were always rude and didnt make us feel welcome at all, we felt this was wrong as we never booked this hotel and wouldnt of given the reviews I have come back and read about it. We feel the chain of Hotels messed up and made our holiday not the sort of holiday we were after.
One good point was the all inclusive part of the holiday food was very nice many different options each evening and lunch time, snacks were provided through out the day, quick bar service which ment drinks when ever we wanted them.
Overall i think this hotel is excellent for older couples but not good for young adults at all, we are dissapointed we were moved here as it was not what we were after.

Hotel is full of people aged 60+ so if you are looking for a quiet holiday this is ideal. Room was cleaned every day. Staff all seemed friendly but entertainment was not very good at night.no complaints about food there was a good choice at every meal.

i stayed at this hotel in july 10 and it was pretty decent, the down side is everybody there was 40 plus, i was 18 at the time so felt out of place, walked into magaluf every night as its not too far, loadsa african staff veryfunny people and the 'all inclusive' is VERY limited as you had to pay for anything that wasnt 'HOMEBRAND' wouldnt go there againbut thats probaby because of my age and desires would recommend toolder people although sol theargentinian 'ENTERTAINMENT REP' should find a 'FAMILY OR KIDSHOTEL' muchlove sexy people ;) xx

Overall the holiday was brilliant, the nightlife, restraunts, shows etc. This hotel was poor. Most off the staff behind reciopinist were rude and need to smile more often. We had one memeber of staff turn up at our hotel room at about 5 AM drunk. Another member of staff tried to "feel" me and my friend up. We got several complaints about being too loud, there was too of us and we were never in during the day and not loud at all at night, maybe the occasional laugh or talk but nothing compared to some of the crouwds in the hotel. The food was not great.

what a let down

This Hotel for many years has been a good Hotel, good entertainment /good food and friendly staff .our recent visit was a revelation in how a good Hotel can soon become a Nightmare
I have to say that the staff who look after the bar and keep your room tidy are very nice and polite and they really do want you to enjoy your holiday
But the management and some people in Reception couldn't care less about you or any problems you have
The hotel is supposed to be 4star in my opinion it isn't a decent 2 star the whole place is tired and needs to be upgraded People were complaining about Sewage smells in some of the bedrooms and the walls need painting /patio doors some lock some dont, and the so called entertainment or lack of it?
When you pay 4 star prices you expect 4 star entertainment the staff running the entertainment would be better suited to a Kindergarten
If the Palma Nova Palace thinks that Karaoke /Mr and mrs /watching X factor and Bingo is entertainment they should open their eyes and wonder why people who have being going for years just aren't going back like they used to as I said this is my opinion and I know that some people will always go back
But Wake Up Before its to Late
