My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a week and wished it had been longer, we are going back again next year. Roms were very clean, beds were comfortable great shower. The food was very good, plenty of choice but the potatoes were a bit hard also the white bread rolls, but the brown rolls were nice and soft, lovely soups. Staff were all

very nice and helpful. The hotel is well situated with just a short walk to the beach and all on the flat which should suit older people. Buses were very cheap but best to go about 11am onwords as they are full before that and do not usually stop. The entertainment in the hotel was fine they had a few acts plus the usual Bingo and Quiz .

A very good Hotel with Exellecnt staff.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a polite recptionist who took us thorugh everything from the Saftey Deposit Box to how to report and problems.

We found our room to be clean and comfortable. Our Balcony overlooked the pool and we could see the sea.

The all inclusive drinks where vaired, 2 words of warning about the barmen Jose will NOT stop poaring beer and don';t ask Sulman to make you a large cocktail because it will be VERY large! lol!.

The food was wide and varied (they tried to take m,y knife and fork away after my 8th course of dinner so I just got another!).

The entertainment was both day and night fun, and Jorge even let us throw him in the pool on the last day!

The only porblem we did have was that our fridge started leeking gas, but this was quickly resloved. The beds where changed every day and the staff were always cleaning.

Who go back in a flash!

This is a long one:-

Like any other holidaymakers reading this site, we were sceptical about staying in Palma Nova Palace after reading numerous negative reviews. However, our optimism payed off when we got there.

After arriving at the hotel at around 3am, we were given directions to our room by POLITE reception staff. Upon entering our room, we came to the realisation that it was everything we would have ever expected a spanish hotel room to be like. The room was clean and tidy, boasting views of the pool area. After a good sleep in comfortable beds, contrary to popular belief, we awoke to commence our day of sunbathing and generally taking advantage of the hotel's all inclusive feature.

We were lead to believe that the food was tasteless and the drinks were strictly limited to the likes of wine and one variation of (what previous holiday makers considered to be watered down) beer. However, the food was exceptional, with mass variety. Starters, main courses and deserts were on offer at every meal time along with drinks that would be deemed suitable with any meal.

The drinks were way above what we expected, with virtually any alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage on offer. Such as pina colada's, sex on the beach, tequila sunrise, sangria, etc. I can't understand what those who complained on this site found problems in this area with. Measurements of vodka didn't go amiss, with me and the other girl in our group consistently having to ask for half measures.

Upon reading this site, we noticed that a number of people complained about the lack of sunning areas, due to them being in the shade. This, however, could have easily been resolved had the aforementioned people moved off their arses and found a spot next to the pool. A spot we found to be in constant sunlight, and also much better than lying on a sunlounger, was lying next to the pool on a towel. This saved any hassle regarding reserving sunbeds, which isn't allowed.

Another point made was rubbish entertainment and rude staff. The entertainment was indeed the epitome of cheesy hotel activities, yet, on the most part, everyone seemed to enjoy it as they were not expecting any more or any less. Being in a group of 4 18-21 year olds, we tended to leave the hotel around half past 11, missing a half of the hotel's entertainment but from what we did see, it proved to be enjoyable for the majority of the hotel residents.

As for the staff, they were as friendly as I have seen anywhere else. Particularly the bar staff. The only member of staff that may have been considered unfriendly was the security guard. But who can blame him when a drunken 18 year old stumbles in at 6am singing Soulja Boy and asking him to join in with the escapades?. Ironically, the only rude people in the hotel consisted of the English, who appeared to take pleasure in staring and scanning any passers by whilst walking through the entertainment area that they occupied.

A reoccuring point made on this review site is that the hotel can not possibly be deemed 4 stars. I believe that those who have addressed this point have not stayed in many hotels in Spain. 4 star in Spain is not the same as 4 star in the likes of America. You get what you pay for, and if you are expecting to be waited on hand and foot 24 hours a day, you should venture into a different country and pay a much higher price. Others have complained about the tea and coffee facilities not being in the room. Failing to notice the point that foreign countries do not posses this facility. It's really not hard to walk down to the bar and get a tea or a coffee for free.

Finally, as for those who said this hotel is mainly occupied by 'old people', we found this to be entirely incorrect as the 'old people' were severely outnumbered by the younger generation, which wasn't bad considering the hotel is 16+.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and wouldn't hesitate to go back tomorrow :-)

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. The hotel deserves its four star rating, it was spotless with an army of cleaners maintaining the high cleanliness throughout. There was a good varied selection of food each day always hot and well cooked. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. During my stay I spoke to several returning customers, some returning for their eigth year. it is difficult to find fault with this hotel. If one was to be very critical the main entertainment could have been better on some evenings. I would certainly return here in the future.

Afeter waiting t the airport for an hour for our transfer that never turned up we decided to take a taxi to the hotel. On arival we were informed that our 16 year old son could not stay with us in the hotel as it was over 18 years old only. It would have been nice to be told this before we handed over two thousand pounds plus for a five day stay. We had to sit in the hotel lobby for four hours waiting for the most unhelpful staff trying to find us alternative accomodation. The hotel is no where near a 4 star and i would not reconmend it for any one under retirement age to visit. It was clean but tacky with cheap furnishings.

After being sold this holiday as a lively fun hotel close to all the action we were very disappointed to find the hotel resembled something very similar to a retirement home. Unfortunately the weather did nothing but rain so we were stuck in the hotel staring at the four walls and being driven round the bend by the moaning from the old folk. The beds were rock hard and the TV didn’t work, the food was never hot and was very repetitive. Best thing about this place was the alcohol! Was also spoilt by the expense of having to pay for taxis every night to get close to any life! If you’ve seen the film cocoon that is the best way to describe this hotel – apart from the alien bit that is!! I wont be returning to this hotel – well not until I’ve retired anyway.

with me being a 15 year old lad wanting to make friends on my holiday this was not the place to do that it was full of OAP which sat around all day drinkin tea or coffe inside. this is a place for old people who want a relaxing holiday in the sun. the rooms were very good, cleaned every day to perfection, the room had a Tv which only had 1 english channel which was dissopointing for me. the bar staff which were very kind and would always talk 2 you. the entertainers were very nice which made people very happy night and day playin golf darts and many more, good laugh. the entertainment at nitghts was ok got abit boreing so you might want to go to magulff a couple of times. the pool was quite small which isnt very good if you like to swim.

Took 5 hours to get room due to flooding the previous night. Had to ask for another room due to the room smelling. Found the rooms small and the beds uncomfortable. No tea making facility, which i expected due to being all inclusive . Meals i found repetitive, and not a lot of veg to choose from. Meals were cold what ever time you went, had no choice with your sweets. The AL La carte you have to pay for [ no mention in the holiday brochure ] Entertainment was of quality you expect from your local pub. The bar staff were very friendly. The hotel is not very disabled friendly. If Iwas considering another holiday in Palma Nova I will not give this hotel another thought, i will not be returning to this hotel

First came to the hotel last year with my wife and thought it was great the food was excelent and the staff were friendly. So returned this year for longer with my wife and met quite a few return visitors from last year. The drinks are deadly so beware they are not measured. If you pick your spot by the pool you can be in the sun all day. The hotel has been taken over now and when we were there all the beds were renewed that week. I stayed on and a party join me for the next few days, the worst weather I have seen abroad at this time of year it was warmer at home we had a great time, and I hope to be able to return again later this year!!!!!!!!!! if allowed

I found this hotel to be very good value for the money. Room clean, wasn't a bad size and the bed was comfortable. Hotel staff especially the bar staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. The food considering it was all inclusive was varied and quite good. On the downside the pool area was small considering the size of the hotel and there wasn't enough sunbeds. This was our second time there and I would defintely return.

Hotel - Very big, can get very busy. 8 floors, we was on the top floor which was abit of a nightmare. Rooms are very clean and of a decent standard.

Pool is very small and there arn't enough sun beds for the hotel capacity so get there quick.

Entertainment - Jorge and Deago were 2 Spanish entertainers. They were fantastic. Activities throughout the day to include Rifle shooting, pool, darts, shuffleboard, skittles, pistol shooting etc. If you win you get a certificate at night. They are very friendly and will do anything to help. Diago looks like Borat so if you go tell him:) He dressed up as Borat for us.

The night entertainment isn't the best. There is Bingo and Quizzes on till 10ish with good top prizes if the hotel is full. (300Euros for a full house - approx) At 10 there are singers, comedians, dancers etc.. They were all quite rubbish when we was there.

Food - Full English Breakfasts in the morning also Croissants, muffins, toast and preserves, yogurt and fruit. Really nice! Dinner is a smaller version of Tea. Pasta, soup, rice, salad, rolls, ham, cheese and a few hot dishes. Tea is alot of fish, stroganoffs, a different joint of meat each night, potatoes, veg, steak pie, chips, salad etc. Quite alot of variety. I found it quite nice (Dont think i could have eaten 2 weeks of it though)

Bar/Alcohol - All inclusive is served until 12am (Food and Drink) The beer is San Miguel and they have a wide variety of local spirits etc. Big Measures! Most of the bar staff are very nice, especially Zita and Andres. The bars are very small for such a big Hotel so can get very busy in Peak Season.

Palma Nova - Quite a small place, at the end of the street there is a stretch of shops, bars and restaurants. If your a big shopper, you might have to travel out of town as the shops on the front are mainly tat. A 25minute walk takes you into Magaluf (Wasn't my favorite place) The beach is lovely.

Excursions - We went to Pirates, Words cannot describe. Its an acrobats and Gymnastic show, with food and free Sangria, wine and soft drinks. Its absolutely amazing. Expensive but worth every penny. 50Euros for an adult and about 25 for a child. If its 1 thing while you do while your there, do it.

There is an unside down house in Magaluff called Katmandu. I never went inside but that looks like a good trip for a colder day. We also went into the capital, Palma, to a shopping precinct called Porta Pi. Its quite a nice shopping center but most of it is inside so again, save for a colder day. There is all the fast food restaraunts there aswll for any fussy eaters (McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Subway and Pizza Hut) You can get there on the bus (104 or 106) it costs 2.35Euros for an adult.

There is a 52hole mini golf course about 100meters from the hotel. Set in a gorgeous area with Waterfalls, Ducks and Turtles.

I would recommend for 1weeks but wouldn't go for 2weeks myself.

HIGH LIGHT - We had to be out of our room at 11am but they let you keep your all inclusive until you go home. We didn't get picked up until 12midnight so we still had all our free drinks and food which was good.

The week we arrived the Spanish old age pensioners arrived, at 4pm every day they took over the entertainment lounge and sat there playing cards until the entertainment started. They took turns in going for there dinner so they did not loose there chairs at the front near the stage, they took over the place. I was there with my mum and dad who are both in there 80's. When i went to the bar for the drinks with dad, mum was asked for the chairs, she was surrounded by the spanish. On top of that Mum and Dad went to breakfast one morning and there was not a clean table to sit at. No one was around to tell.

The hotel looks as if it has been plonked on a spare bit of land it is long and narrow.

I don't know how they get on in the dinning room when the Hotel is full it does not look big enough and the table's are very close together (not enough room inbetween the chairs) kept banging into other people next to us.

We stayed for a short week end break as a group of 8. I was expecting faulty towers from reading other comments. these all seemed unfounded as we all had a great time and the staff were really freindly, the rooms were clean, the food wasn't brilliant but it wasn't poor either, mind you would not fancy it in the hight of season! probably more moaning brits expecting full english breakfast and john smiths followed by fish and chips.
