If you like the French then this is the hotel for you. If you don't then either take your French phrase book or go elsewhere. I would have given it a 1out of 10 rating if I could have done.
This Hotel and its sister - Ola Hotel Panama - are geared up for French visitors only. There is a large TV in the bar but it only receives French channels, when I asked the staff if I could watch a British channel I was told it only receives French channels.
Even the information sheet in the rooms is in French. When I went approx 95% of the guests were French and they certainly don't like us. The staff weren't too keen either.
Incidentally the Ola Hotel Panama has a number of steps leading into the hotel and therefore is totally impossible for wheelchair users.
At the airport the driver of the transfer coach (Resort Hoppa – there were at least five hundred holiday-makers in the queue with only two members of staff on duty in the Resort Hoppa office) decided to sit and wait for an hour before moving off. By the time the coach got to the hotel it was 9.30pm and the restaurant was closed.
The out of meal time snacks referred to are crisps and nuts. There is a toaster but only bread is provided, no butter or anything. There is a microwave but I don’t know why because there was nothing to cook in it. So I had to eat out, somewhat defeating the object of going all inclusive.
The food is typical all inclusive fare.
You wait ages to get served at the bar.
I never found the gym that is mentioned in the blurb.
The entertainment is laughable, the worst I have ever seen.
How this hotel is three stars is beyond me, it’s a cross between a UK one star and a Shearings Hotel.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, so bad in fact that even though I had booked for two weeks all inclusive I paid for a flight back to the UK after four days (cost me 170 Euros plus 32 Euros taxi to the airport).
