My partner & I have just returned from the Mimosa Park....we checked in ok...but had asked for a high floor & sea view....We got..the 1st floor & the road view!...After seeing the room we didnt complain as we had a "family" room which was massive....3 beds & 2 pull downs...2 toilets, 2 showers & 2 sinks...small table a 4 chairs around it..plus balcony..Rooms were clean & sheets clean etc although old towels,,,,We nenver used lifts as 1st floor, but yes they took ages & not much room....so leg it to get to room.....Our main complaint as with otheres was the immensely THIN walls...so thin we could here every word or antic...& the week we went , i thought it was Scotland as the amount of Scottish bods was nearly ALL the hotel apart from the rest being Northerners...Only heard 1 set of German, very few Spanish & no one from down South or East.....Wouldnt have minded except it was these extrelmely LOUD OLDER woman that had no consideration for their immediate neighbours, when they commenced to chatter LOUDLY about all they had done that day....for "HOURS!!...this is after midnight so this goes on til past 2/3 o clock....even after banging on the wall, shouting, shut up & knocking on their door....they eventually got it down to a lower bumble noise...The point is , if a family had actually taken this room, there would have been no way, any children would have slept through it....On a better note, the food was lovely ...same english breakfast but still nice & what you would expect...but the evening meals were lovely...always a fish dish, lots of lovely cooked Veal, which we pay a lot for in this country, chicken, lots of diff potatoe dishes which is nice....even though you still see the "chip die hard" that has nothing else...please try their food cos its really nice.... why go to Spain if you only want "chips".....??.....Desserts were abundant...profiteroles & rice pud nice ....baked apple too....lots of cream stuff but i didnt have but ok if you like that....drinks expensive...esp lemon & orange...almost 2 euros each...

The PIRATE show is EXCELLENT, & makes up for the fact you are squashed onto a bench with 3 others each side to eat....Take what you want of the food though or those greedier will before you....Golf Fantasia well worth the fun...The beach was windy but nice.... magaluf is like Blackpool & watch out for the "sick" patches the next morning on the floors outside the bars....I would NOT go back here,...it was too commercialised & common for us....& we are not posh....just civilised.....Buy earplugs & you'll be ok....the & rating was given for the food alone, had it of been bad i would only have given a 3 for the fact it needs updating badly....

We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Mimosa Park.Food was excellent and the staff friendly. We were very happy with the cleanliness of our room, bedding and towels changed every day.The only downside was as other people have commented it is terrible waiting for a lift.We were pleased we were just on 3rd floor and if need be we could walk downstairs. The other problem was the thin walls. We were woken every morning 7.30 when the television was put on in the next room.Everyone we spoke to in the hotel said how they thought it was a lovely hotel. We would definately go back there as the food alone was well worth the visit.

Before we went we had read reviews on other peoples experiences at this hotel and we really worried about what we had let our selves in for ...

All i can say is dont listen to any of the negative reports, this hotel is fab and i would go back there again!

When we arrived about 8 in the evening we were checked in to our rooms straight away. Food was nice in the restaurant, Thomas cook reps were amazing! The pool area is tidy size but was really hard to get a sunbed so i advise wakin up that bit earlier to get a bed. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and are there to help.

Only problem was there was no fridge and that the walls were really thin so we did get told off on the first night by next door for being a bit loud.

There was a group of us who went to this hotel (group of girls under 20 years old) and we all loved it ...

would deffinatley go back again

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel from 30th August 08 to 6th September 08 on a half board basis.

My recommendations for this hotel is do not book this unless you are just going for a blackpool hotel kind of holiday. The reason being is that the hotel looks nice on the outside the staff are nice and very nice to speak to in English and Spanish if you know it. Its the rooms very old fashioned needs very seriously updating. The walls are thin and if you get the road side rooms be warned its not just a single road its a dual carriageway a slip road from the main motorway.

Be warned yes the thomas cook staff are good in their job but if you get a welcome meeting take a drink they dont offer you one. They are very chatty and they will introduce you to the suncare man so he can sell you suntan stuff.

Once introduced all the thomas cook staff be warned read the trips leaflet if you are planning to go on them. Be warned they are not as they seem.

The trip on the coach, boat and train they called it discover mallorca on there leaflet be careful. Me and my partner went on it. The tour rep on this trip is spanish but does speak English but be warned the trip does involve a lot of walking and dont beileve everything he says the boat trip will last 15 mins not 45 mins the nicest bit after all the walking is the train journey its nice to travel on.

The other trip be warned on is the Catamaran if you get chance walk to magaluf beach where you will find the trip cheaper than the leaflet the rep gives you. Its 35 euros to their thomas cook price of 49 euros and make sure you take drink you only get the drink when the food is served after about an hour and half sailing not as the thomas cook rep suggests so take water or other drinks because the drink can cost 2 euros each for the beer and Sangria and Water.

Also if you are young enough ask the Thomas Cook rep for the Reps tours we only got given the leaflet after we had paid out a lot of euros for the trips.

The pool looked nice we thought it would be easier to actually go the beach every day because if you are half board you will see that All Inclusive tend to hang around the hotel all day. They gain the pleasure of getting the beds early even before breakfast is served.

The meals well if you are used to warm milk for cereal in the morning then thats all you will get. The same breakfast consits of Bacon, Eggs, scrambled eggs, beans and sausage. There is other things. The meal at night that's better at least you sort of get a variety.

The rooms are small air condtioning brilliant room does get cleaned every day. Like people have been saying there is no fridge, no hairdryer, no kettle and no remote for the telly. Beds single and do move and with the walls being thin you can hear everything.

Please think twice about this hotel.

I Have just returned home from Mimosa Park and had a great holiday. We were checked in quite quickly which was good. (even though it was 4am). The rooms wernt the greatest. The walls were really thin and could hear anything that moved. The beds wernt great either. Was a bit gutted there was no fridge and had to buy cold drinks all the time as they got warm if you left them. As for the pool area, enjoyed every bit of it, joining in with the thomas cook team who were suberb for the whole week, the work they do is imense, even though their quiz questions were really hard. Ye joining in with fun fitness and the quiz, water basket ball killer pool they made the day go quick which was good as i cant stand lying down all day being an active person. The bar drinks were expensive for what you actualy got especially being only half board. 1.80 euros for small cup of coke/fanta etc..

The evenin meal was fantastic, the different varieties of food was great. Breakfast was ok.

The 1st 3 nights we stayed at the hotel and had a wide range of entertainment. We had a hipnotist, two guys with a load of snakes, a trio girl band and the thomas cook team singing. Davey is a legend! Unfortunately didnt win open the box or bingo!

Outside the hotel we went to Golf fantasia which had great features all the way around from birds, waterfalls, caves. Also we went to watch pirates which was an amazing show but for 49 euros was a bit steep. Although u could drink as much sangria or wine as much as you liked.

All in all was a brill holiday and would go back there in the future but wouldnt bother with half board, all inclusive would be more sufficient as everything is so dear.

Me and my boyfriend have just arrived back from mimosa park. When we arrived, we were checked in quickly and the staff at reception were very helpfull and give us all the approriate information about the hotel. Our room was very basis but livable. Had television with sky news and a movie channel that was okay to watch whilst getting ready to go out at night. One problem we found (like others), was that their is no fridge. Bit annoying as we had to buy lots of fresh water as it just went warm. Swimming pool and area v nice. Quite hard to get a parasal, but sunbeds were easily available,we had to go put towels down at 8am to get a parasal ! Lifeguard on duty 10-6, so good if you have kids. Pool bar staff were friendly, drinks werent badly priced, but their is a local supermarket just next to the hotel ... so camparing prices ... 47cent - can of cola (supermarket) and 1.80 at hotel... we got most of our daytime drinks from their.

Breakfast were always nice , traditional cooked breakfast and toast. As for the evening meals, i did not think too much off. good variety of food but all were either cooked in dairy, or had it in, which is bad for me , as im allergic to it. So for must evenings i had to do with a salad, very nice but after two weeks got a bit much. We eat out twice during our stay, once at a resturant called Macobar (oppisite end of palma nova to the hotel)and the other time was to a chinas called China Pekin, which was near Mcdonalds. both reasonably priced and gorgoues food.

Anyway on to the excursions. We went to aqualand, that was fab, lots of gd and fun rides or just to sit around and chill out. Prices of food were out of this world. was about 4 euro summit for the tinyest of burgers!

We also went to the evening show Pirates - the show was fabolous but not worth the money. You get free food with 6 clock performance but nothing special - we got sauages, chicken and chips with beans. But on the plus , all drinks were free (lots of sangria)but if you wanted beer it was at a cost.

At the hotel the entertainment team were fanstatic and would do everyhting to help you have a fun and enjoyable holiday.

Given a choice, i would return to this hotel and resort !

to sum it up over all i was disapointed with this hotel. In comparison to the ones i have been to before i thought the standard of the rooms were poor, the bathrooms were far from impressive. The food was ok, there was variety but the thing that disapointed me most was the majority of the staff. I thought the staff at the hotel were very rude, short and ignorant towards us and this happened on many ocasions. This was far from my best holiday and im sorry to say i will not be returning to mimosa park anytime soon. The area was ok and we loved magalluf but the hotel was not to our standard, and the reveiws i have read were people have marked this hotel at 7 or above obviously do not travel often.

Just returned after two weeks at the Mimosa Park, rooms are basic..very thin walls so every conversation can be over heard..bathroom had black mould around the sink and in the tile grouting around the bath/shower.. kids club as advertised was none existent.. lifts always breaking down..to have all inclusive and half board does not work as the queues for the bars was horrendous so we went out every night, we did stay a couple of times for the entertainment but as it was held indoors the PA system was far too loud for comfort, the stag and hen parties are not really a good idea for what is advertised as a FAMILY hotel.. unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties.. this hotel badly needs a MAJOR overhaul as it was very shabby, the rooms do not have a fridge..you have to hire one for 49.99 euro's per week, the only hotel I have stayed at which did not have this facility.I did not find the staff at all friendly in fact it seemed as though we were just something the staff had to endure, this sounds like I am hard to please but I am not,I just think that manners and civility cost nothing and can mean an awful lot to people who have saved hard all year for a holiday abroad.

On the plus side the food was excellent and there was always a plentiful supply of hot water.. the location was very good.

All in all I would give it an overall rating of 4/10 and would not go back unless it had a serious update. My complaints will be going in to Thomas Cook.

Just come back from Palma Nova. A hot blackpool with a tv in every bar so if you were hoping to get away from the tv think again. We stayed at the Mimosa park. A nice clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. It had paper thin walls so you could hear everthing going on in the next room a bit noisy at night. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and the rooms were cleaned daily and it had good air conditioning. The entertainment was good but its not neccessary to have loud music and entertainment around the pool area. The hotel wasn't far from the beach, shops and bars. There are some excellent trips from this resort but if you want a nice quiet holiday. Forget it.

My self and my partner went on a last minute deal booked on ulookubook.com. We read the reviews before booking and were not sure what to expect. We had nothing to worry about as the hotel was lovely, the food was even better and the staff where more than helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location away from noise but close enogh to have fun. This is the first time we have been all inclusive and we will never do self catering again as the food, drink and service were brilliant.

We have just retured from a 10day holiday stay in mimosa park, palma nova , majorca.

Got to say the hotel can be noisy, and the lifts are a bit dodgy!! we had a sea view on the 9th floor great at night when having a vodka and coka when daughter was asleep.

The rooms are basic but did the job.Not very big but clean daily to a good standard.Pool side was busy and ive got to say us BRITS are as bad as the GERMANS for getting up early and saving sunbeds, which really pi$$ed me off when people only came down after eleven to use them!!!!!!!ARGH ok rant over..

The thomas cook team worked really hard and deserve credit well done and keep the hard work up,its nice to get a little bit back from a large company instead of take take take like most large companies do, well done the team at mimosa , the staff were kind and helpful, food good ,breakfast great. Would recomend this to families as we had a great time and met some lovley people.Any noise just let security know by dialing 100 from the room and they will sort it straight away..

summary.... good hotel, great pool, ok food, great team, good staff

"Blackpool in the sun. Full of Brits, not very Spanish. Hotel was very basic & in need of updating. Rooms small & if you are on the road side very noisy. Previous comments about paper thin walls is true so take your ear plugs! Saying that the staff were really nice & helpful the food was of good quality and the Thomas Cook reps really hard working. The children’s clubs mentioned on some web sites is non existent & the fun room was musty and never open so if your hoping for the kids to be entertained during the day this isn't the one for you. The reps did a hour for the kids in the evening disco/party games which was good. Location is okay, just between torranova & palmanova, 5 mins walk to palmanova beach, the only problem is the hill in the heat its unbearable and with that and the poor lifts i wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility problems, 10 floors. Pool area was too small for the size of the hotel and as always the sunbeds were reserved very early in the morning with no obvious intervention by the hotel which meant if you are up after 9.30 your unlikely to get a spot by the pool. Make sure you budget for the rip off safety deposit boxes too, in my opinion should be free! "

Top Tip:

"Palmanova beach was nice & access for disabled on beach,.with lifeguards looking after people really well. Lovely little restaurant just opposite the playground. Western water park was a good day out & at the time of our visit macdonalds were doing vouchers for free kids, its much better than aqualand. Marineland good day & they have access a quiet little beac so take your towel. Taxis reasonable so would recommend flagging one down than tackling that hill! & only 30euros to the airport better than waiting for the transfer bus.

We have just returned from2 weeks in the Mimosa Park, and it was excellent, the weather was brilliant, we had our grandaughter with us, she had a ball, the entertainers are the tops they work so hard, and the kids love them.

My grandaughter won lots of certificates, which made her holiday. David, Claire, Lisa and Kez worked so hard and such long hours, with us coming from Scotland and David being Scottish we had a few wee things in common so that was good.

The only downside i would say is the lifts oh are they slow, walking down from the 6th floor was ok but going back up, I only done it once.

Also my grandaughter who is 10 wanted just a plain salad, andI asked for one, she didnt want chicken or tuna, she was given a salad that an adult would have difficulty eating there was so much, they dont do kids menu at the poolside bar, and also i was charged nearly 5euros for it as they dont just have a plain salad, so i had to pay for a chicken one. Thats one thing that annoyed me otherwise its excellent and i would highly recommend it.
