My wife and I spent a week in this hotel. The room was fine, we had air con at no extra cost, something we didn’t expect a bonus really. Our room was cleaned every day towels replaced. We had the use of shower and bath. The hotel staff were helpful and polite, and the place was very clean.

The food was always hot and there were several choices, a good selection of sweets and fruit too. One thing I would suggest to the hotel management they should ensure that all kids under the age of fourteen should go to meals and eat with their parents. some of the kids behaved like pigs and had no respect for other people or the hotel staff who worked very hard to ensure everyone had a pleasant stay.

We would stay at Mimosa Park again. The resort was great and the beach was clean, plenty to do and lots of places to visit. A great place overall. Don’t go to Magalluf if you don’t like football, every other bar is full of drunken Brits.

Just got back form 11 nights at Mimosa Park Hotel after reading the reviews we were a bit apprehensive we booked 11 nights half board (My wife two daughters and Myself )we arrived at the hotel at about 10 pm we were promptly dealt with by a very pleasant lady. We were allocated our room and given a map of Palma Nova on which the receptionist showed us the location of the hotel and the directions to the sea front etc. We found our room quite comfortable. It was very clean as was the bathroom.

We noted that air conditioning had been fitted to our room (and later found that all rooms now have air conditioning) I turned the air conditioning up full and then we went out to find something to eat. Returning to out room a few hours later we went straight to bed only to wake up about 3am thinking that we had been transported to Siberia. (So much for those who complained that they were unable to sleep due to the heat) a quick adjustment to the thermostat then a quiet nights sleep was had by all.

We went down for breakfast to find a sumptuous feast on offer a selection of cereal, cooked or continental breakfast. Plenty of room in the dining room. After a leisurely breakfast .

We made our way to the reception area to find out what was going on at the Hotel and in the local area. We found that half board guests were invited to up grade to all-inclusive for 20 Euros per night for Adults and 10 Euros per night for our daughters even though they were 12 and 14. we took advantage of this (You do not have to take this offer up at the start of your Holiday but any time during your stay the only stipulation is once you upgrade up to all inclusive you must stay up graded for the remainder of your stay i.e. if say by the last few days of your holidays you have been every where and done all you want to do and funds may be running low you just up grade to AI and eat drink and sit by the pool all day)

The pool the hotel is excellent some reports say the water is cold what do you expect if the air temperature is 32 degrees and you jump in to a pool its bound to feel cold at first. There were plenty of sun bed and like any other holiday hotels if you want the best sun bed location you need to get up early. There are sun beds available all day everyday.

Back to the restaurant the lunches were very good with plenty of choice there was always a Spanish type dish available as well as the traditional British food yes there were chips available for lunch and dinner but there was also Boiled or jacket potatoes always available.

Evening dinner was something else a carvery every night either beef, pork, chicken, or turkey. Still a wide choice of other meals including a vegetation choice available.

The entertainment at the hotel is second to none the in house entertainers are professionals in their own right most nights there is a show by artistes who are doing the Majorca cabaret circuit. There is one session of Bingo each night only one ticket played the prize is between 25 to 35 euros for the line and as much as 160 euros for the full house the tickets cost 1e 50c each (I am no bingo lover but even I can tolerate I ticket a night)

As for noise in the night this hotel as it is a family orientated hotel it is no more noisier than any hotel in say London, Cardiff or Manchester.

The Bar staff although not the happiest bunch on the planet they were always polite and sociable considering the hours they work and the way I noticed some of our fellow holiday makers spoke to them.

We are booking up to go back to Mimosa Park Next year this hotel deserves more that is 3 star rating in our opinion.

This is my third stay at this hotel, first staying over 20 years ago.

The food is first class for a Spanish 3star hotel, plenty of selection and more than enough to eat.

Our party stayed on all inclusive this time and it was brilliant, you waited no more than a few mins for your drinks which was excellent considering the hotel was full.

Entertainment is not of the highest standard but you don’t go on holiday for the arranged entertainment.

Hotel could do with turning on the air conditioning in the bedrooms, but we bought a fan from the supermarket next door for 15 euros and this did the trick.

Regarding previous comments about the walls being thin, we heard hardly any noise at all.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and i will certainly return, but i would not book through Airtours it is expensive, we paid £300 all-inclusive for the week with private transfers from the airport.

An excellent hotel and an excellent holiday, we did not want to come home

The hotel is situated in a quieter area of Palma Nova although close to a main road but close enough for all the resorts bars etc.

The hotel staff seemed miserable especially the reception staff .when you eventually got served at the bar by unpleasant bar staff you had poor entertainment provided by the resident entertainment team, although they did their best.

The food was very good and varied. the rooms are small and we were put in a room for up to 3 people but there were 4 in our room. we booked a family room for up to 5 people but got refused the room by reception who said the family rooms are reserved for Airtours and my travel guests.

The walls of the rooms are thin you can hear everything next door. You cant get to sleep in between 4 and 6am because of the stag and hen parties staying in the hotel and also because the air conditioning doesn’t work. The pool area is nice and sun loungers were always available. the hotel isn’t suitable for people bad on their feet because of the steps and inclines all around the hotel. Not the all-inclusive package I have been use to in the past.

I would recommend Palma Nova and Magalluf there is plenty to see and do but I would choose a better hotel.

The holiday was the best we have had the hotel staff were friendly we found the food to be great the rooms were very basic and you can hear noise from the next rooms.

The rooms were cleaned daily but there was always hair left that didn’t belong to my family .

One thing I have to mention is that my girlfriend drank water from all bars and got ill the next day I noticed the staff filling their fridge with full bottles with the tamper band broken I suspect they are refilling them with tap water , and my girl friend confirmed the water tasted dirty in all bars except the restaurant were you could hear the bands being broken .other guests noticed the same.

Also I am 26 the staff were reluctant to give me glass mugs for beer they tended to give plastic cups.

The beer tasted fine all week except one night we were with some people on halfbord and I said I thought the beer tasted weak and compared to their s it did . If it were not for the water problem the hotel would have got a 10

Good points:- Lots for kids to do, the games staff really look after them. Food, fantastic and couldn’t of asked for better. Bar and restaurant staff incredibly overworked but polite and will not stand for "queue jumpers!" Location good, not right in centre but only 5 min walk to bars and shops. Entertainment not bad but probably wouldn’t of stayed to watch all of it if we weren’t all inc.

Bad points:- lifts terrible. Rooms boiling hot as there is no air conditioning. All young groups should be put on one floor, walls are thin and I got a bit p***d off with being woken at five in the morning! (I’m not old but there are limits!) sun loungers had towels all over them 1st thing and most of the time people wouldn’t claim them to mid afternoon if at all, grrrr!!! Moaned to reception staff that our sheets hadn’t been changed since we arrived 4 days ago, the manager of hotel said he found that difficult to believe and got a bit grouchy, obviously the customer is never right!!! They are meant to be changed every 2 days so keep an eye on that one. More of a family and couple place but overall was pleased, met some great friends.

My boyfriend and I and a couple of friends stayed at this hotel and had a great time. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. Food was great and staff were friendly.

I have a small son who we didn’t take on this holiday but the children that were there seemed to be kept very entertained by the staff and the kids activities.

Only complaint I can make is that air conditioning would have been a huge bonus. Don’t expect to cuddle your partner in bed of nighttime. It is way too hot in high season. One night my boyfriend even slept on a lilo on the balcony.

Other than that a great holiday was had. Off to Greece this year and hopefully my holiday will be as good as this one was.

No Air Conditioning!!! In summer, the place is like a sauna indoors. The Mimosa Park is a very uncomfortable place to be around in the daytime as a result. Pity the people whose rooms have windows which catch the sun, as they will have to sleep with the balcony door open to keep less hot and have to put up with the traffic noise from the busy road in front of the hotel.

The lifts are very small and move very slowly, so try to get put on a lower floor if possible. The room walls are paper thin, so you can hear those in the next room as clearly as if they were stood next to you.

The staff are a mixed bag; the men on the front desk are quite miserable, while the ladies who do some shifts on reception are very nice, the cleaners do a great job and the restaurant staff are good too.

The hotel is a bit of a trek from the main strip of Palma Nova (including a tiring hill section), but it’s also right next door to the best supermarket in the area, Caprabo.

Well I don’t know about the previous posters but I thought this hotel offered very good value for money - the food was excellent a very good choice at all meal times.

Chips were only served twice during my ten days stay and the quality of the meals on offer was very varied - in fact at some points I found it difficult to chose what to take from the buffet.

The hotel is ideally situated, close enough to the beach for comfort but not too near noisy bars etc.

My only negative view is the fact that it specifically targets hen and stag parties who are somewhat noisy when they return home at all hours of the day or night. During out stay there were three stag parties and two hen parties all with at least 25 in their party.

With as previous posters saying the walls are paper thin makes for disturbed sleeping patterns. However we were lucky and only suffered once our floor (ninth).

I would certainly go back for a return stay but specify on booking in that I wanted to be well away from stag and hen parties.

This hotel was a nightmare! I originally booked this holiday for my other half’s birthday surprise and this is what happened.

1. One night we were in our room and we heard a loud smashing and cracking noise. we looked at the floor and our tiles came up and smashed into thousand of pieces.

2. The staff is very rude only cater for Germans.

3. We had no heating in the hotel and the hotel ran out of blankets and in the end I ended up with a tablecloth.

4. We had to move rooms 3 times, 1st time because we had noisy kids next door who played music all night very loud and the walls are very thin. you heard them getting off one night. 2nd time we moved because of number 1. and the room they moved us to it was a disgrace. there was mould all over the room. the bathroom had a strange plastic pipe hanging down and was told the wind blew it down! what rubbish!.

5. The reps were very rude and all they cared about was getting off with girls which was very unprofessional while on duty.

6. We originally booked the Vista Nova hotel and a week before I went I got a call from going places saying the hotel burnt down! when we got into Majorca I saw the Vista Nova hotel all lit. in that evening I took a stroll down there and it was alive basically. at the welcome meeting I asked why they moved us they said the Vista Nova has change into an old people’s home! at the airport way home I saw the Airtours manager Rachel at there and she said Airtours hasn’t renewed the contract. so which was it!

7. All the plates at meal times were dirty and chipped.

8.Bar was only opened for all-inclusive people other wise you can’t have a drink.

9. I wrote Airtours a letter and today I got a letter back with no compensation with a letter saying " sorry you experienced a bad holiday hope you travel with us again" what do you think of that? Please let me know, I am thinking to get a solicitor in.

This hotel is dreadful. I have genuinely been in more pleasant caves. Certainly a cave would be an improvement in regard to air conditioning (Mimosa has none, and it is necessary). You can hire a fan, but they just blow the hot air around.

Also, I would say the walls were paper thin, but it would really be more accurate to say that they were paper.

The bathroom suffered from a tap that had two settings:

1. Not working

2. Oh s**t, I now have 3rd degree burns

Another minor flaw was the lift. When this was working it moved at around 0.00000037 mph, and could fit 2 people (providing one of those people was a hamster with no luggage).

However, the final insult is definitely the food. I like chips. I don’t like them with every meal. Every day. Also, one evening there was a dish called fish balls, with the fish written inside inverted commas: 'fish'. It was not uncommon to see suspiciously similar looking food the morning afterwards (cunningly renamed). If you do go there, starve. Its the safer option.

Finally, beware of Claus the German receptionist. Thankfully this baity fellow was not around in 1945, however he seems to be attempting to make up for this.

Oh well, there you go. Apart from that it was a great holiday!! The resort is fab, just don’t stay in this dump :-)

I’ve stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions now and would recommend it to anyone.

On the down-side there are the lack of air con and the gentle paced lifts.

On the plus side - everything else! Plenty of choice of food, friendly bar staff, OK entertainment and a sizeable clean pool.

The location is far enough away from the main resort to be quieter but close enough to be a short stroll away.

Our party of 6 included ages 8 to 50 - including teenagers - and all were happy with the time spent there.

Would go a 4th time!

If you do go to this area (or anywhere near) DO go to the Pirates show in Magaluf. This is the best outing I have ever had on any holiday. Not very cheap but well worth every Euro!

We had a brilliant time at the mimosa the hotel staff were friendly and the entertainment team were fantastic they couldn’t do enough for you. The food was fab. We had such a great time we booked to go back in September and also recommended it to friends. We also kept in touch with one of the Airtours entertainment team. The rooms were always spotless clean and the maids were great. Bar staff always friendly and always made an effort to speak to you. GO MIMOSA!.
