Mimosa Park is a beautiful hotel and I really enjoyed the holiday there and wouldn’t think twice about going there again.
The entertainers there work very hard from early morning to late night to keep you happy and entertained on your holidays and become your friends.
The hotel rooms are quite small but they are very clean and have everything you need there, the hotel is close to the beach and has a great swimming pool that is cleaned every night and looked after.
The food is ok but can get boring after a while as the menu doesn’t tend to change much but Overall the hotel is an ideal place to take your holidays as there is plenty to do there and the staff are very friendly and it is set in a lovely resort with a fantastic beach I recommend this hotel to everyone you will have a great time there.

There were 3 couples on our stay and we all loved the hotel. The staff are very friendly and the hotel and poolside is kept really clean.
The bar was expensive but no dearer than any other hotel bar. We ate at the hotel most nights as there was a really good variety, I have read other reviews complaining about the food but they had a different menu every night and the food was lovely, the only reasons we ate elsewhere was for a change of scenery.
We didn't stay around the hotel at night as we headed into Magaluff most nights which was lively and cheap. The Prince William sells 3 pint jugs of lager for 3 euros and other drinks and food is really cheap.
Lennons Bar is good and plays Indie music and we bought a pass for 11 euros to get into 5 different clubs. Watch some of the offers in a few of the bars, they offer 2 for 1 but charge nearly double for 1 bottle and each of us had to buy a drink so rather than buy 3 and get 6 we ended up having to buy 6 bottles and got 12 and were charged 28 euros and we didn’t really want to stay there that long.
We were recommended to go to Casablanca for a steak and the food was amazing, its just off the main strip. Also you wont be disappointed if you go and see the pirates show, it’s a really good laugh, we went to the later adult show. Golf fantasia is good as well and try and go on the catamaran the bbq was great.
Overall Palma Nova has everything, the beaches are lovely and the bars and restaurants in the evening are brilliant, its a very pretty place and only a short walk from Magaluff but there’s enough to do in Palma Nova anyway. Mimosa Park seems best for couples and families which I think would be best going on an all incl. stay.
We would definitely stay there again.

I have just returned from Palma Nova after spending a week there with 3 of my mates, all of us 18 years old.
First pulled up to the hotel in the coach and was far better than expected. However, we had booked to have 2 rooms of 2 next door to each other but we were told this was not possible because the hotel was fully booked and would have to wait 2 days before anything could have been done. As a result, 2 of us were on floor 2 and the others were on floor 5.
Got into the room and although it was a little small it was clean and had air conditioning which was a necessity on a night. Only downside to the rooms were that the water sometimes came out of the taps an orangey colour and the walls were paper thin. Being 18 we went to Palma Nova to stay out late etc n have fun. Came back one morning at around 5ish and was getting ready for bed when the wall began to move as someone next door was banging on the wall telling us to be quiet and to stop using the toilet.
I would have thought it was obviously that with it being close to Magaluf that it would have been quite noisy on a night so if you do like your sleep and don’t like to be woken up early morning I wouldn't advise staying at Mimosa park as there were quite a few young people in large groups. Also, early evening my friends encountered in the room next door to them some very rude noises between a couple on a number of occasions.
It made us very uncomfortable and I know the family on the other side of the room complained a few times because they had a little girl.
The pool was great but often very busy and full of kids. The entertainment seemed to be good although we never used it but the entertainers seemed to work hard. The pool bar is quite expensive especially for bottles of water. The supermarket next door caprado sells 1.5 litre bottle of water for 0.46 euro and you can buy it chilled! We often bought snacks from Coprado as well because the food was not great at all. It seemed very plain and didn't match. There was loads of salad but it didn't look great so we often ate out at lunch and had a big meal.
If you want a bit of peace and quiet during the day, the beach is only a short walk away and there are a few spots where you will not get disturbed. There is also the banana boat and a number of other water sports to take part in.
On a night, Banana Joes is the best place to start! Its a great place to chill out in Palma Nova before getting hassled in Magaluf. Drinks are usually around 4 euros but there are special offers on bottles of lager and alcopops. You usually end up with around 2 or 3 free shots each as well.
Heading on to Magaluf is about a 15 minute walk but if you walk along the beach there’s a lovely view and it flies by. Our 1st night was awful in Magaluf! With there only being 4 girls and all of us a bit nervous they could probably see we were fresh meat. I had been to Tenerife last year and I thought there were loads of PR guys there but its a 100x's worse on the strip in Magaluf! If you’re heading to the main strip just tell them you’re off to another bar, give them a name and try not to look at them in the eye. It was so bad that I would never wish that experience on anyone at all!
The good places to go are Alex’s chill out where its usually 2 4 1 on all your drinks along with 1 shot each and a jug of cocktail. Chaplains is alright as well. Its best to get the stamp so you have free access into 5 of the main clubs. Tokio Joes is best because we like r n b music but towards the end of the night fusion is ace as well. Bananas and Car wash have more dance music but when we went in it was empty so try and go around 2 o’clock. The stamp costs 11 euros before 2o'clock and 13 euros after that time.
Never went to BCM because we thought it was a bit chavy and my friends had said that although you pay 25 euros and then you get the bar free, the bars are so busy you can't even get to them. Everywhere usually stays open til around 6.30. If your in a group of girls I’d advise you not to go anywhere by yourself because even walking in a pair back to the hotel at 5 in the morning was one of the most scariest times I’ve had as drunken men kept shouting vulgar stuff at us and trying to walk with us etc.
I hope I haven't scared anyone about Magaluf but you do need your wits about you. Fantasia golf is amazing and so beautiful in Palma Nova especially at night and if you buy from the rep in your hotel you can usually do 54 holes for 9.30euros. Would probably go back again with a bigger group of friends in a few years but would like to see other places as I felt it was too much of a party capital.
You've really got to be into drinking and partying til the early morning.

Hi i am just back from Majorca.
Mimosa park hotel is located in a quiet part of Palma Nova although is beside a busy road during day and night.
Food wasn’t great although edible breakfast was normal English one.
Entertainment was absolutely brilliant it was what made my holiday a good one all entertainers are excellent with kids and adults and talk to like a personal friend. They have activities for all ages during day and night. Wouldn’t fault the entertainment in the slightest a must see.
Room is good size and kept reasonably tidy. Although the toilet seat in our room was yellow which it shouldn’t be.

I am Marianne and I am ten years old and thought the Mimosa Park was fabulous !
Hotel Room - I thought the hotel room was spotless, lovely balcony and great view of the sea and the swimming pool. The beds were made every day and were comfy to sleep in.
Entertainers - The highlight of being at Mimosa Park for me were the entertainers because they were at the hotel from early in the morning till late at night and are not just entertainers that are there doing there job they become your friend. There is a Sangria demo every day at about 12:00 noon, they would show you how to make it then they would give out free samples to the persons over 18. I better not tell anymore of the entertainment activities or it might waste part of your holiday knowing what you are going too! That's just the basics but if you go you will know what i mean. By the way the entertainers speak English and have activities for adults and children.
I would recommend the pirate show you can book, for it's excellent! (Not performed in the hotel)
There are a lot more paragraphs I could write but I don't have time, there are only three bad things about Mimosa Park 1.Some of the waiters were gloomy but did there job. 2. The lifts were so slow you had to end up taking the stairs. 3. When it's time to go home you really don't want to leave!
That's me done now, adios amigos! (I'm going back to Mimosa park next year ).

Myself and my partner stayed at the Mimosa in June 06. We couldn’t fault this hotel one bit. Food was good, good choice, salads were lovely and English sausages for breakfast!
Rooms were kept clean, clean towels daily, sheets changed once a week. And the air con was brilliant.
Staff were friendly and happy to help.
The only downside to this hotel are the paper thin walls, you can hear everything that is being said in the next rooms! So, not very good if you want a good nights sleep. Even if you stay out until 4am, there will be someone that always comes in later than you and wakes you up!
Banana Joes is a great bar just down the road, great for a quick drink on your way to Magaluf, and great for a last drink on the way back to the hotel.
Overall, we couldn’t fault it one bit. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel.
This hotel doesn’t really deserve some of the bad reviews on here, I’ve stayed at much worse places, and yes, it is mainly English tourists that stay here, but what do you expect when its mainly an Airtours hotel?!

Just got back from a 2 week holiday with 3 mates at Mimosa Park. The hotel is in a good location and a short walk to the middle of Palma Nova and the beach which was great. Also not too far from Magaluf which was a 15 min walk or 5 min taxi ride.
We stayed in 2 rooms of 2 which were quite small but clean although they did smell of fags when we first got there! The walls are very thin and we could talk to each other through them not so good if you don’t know who's in the room next door. They also had aircon which was great.
The hotel was very clean and staff quite friendly, the pool was great but very busy and although we didn’t use it the entertainment seemed good and the entertainers worked very hard.
Our only main criticism of the hotel was the food which was poor. We missed breakfast most mornings the food was bearable and we ate it because we had paid for it and were hungry! It was quite repetitive and the choice of main meal was limited, there was 4 times more salad than anything else. Pub Amigos just down the road from the hotel is great at lunch times and it used to fill us up so we didn’t have to eat as much of the hotel food! The fellas there are really friendly too.
Banana Joes is a great bar just down the road from the hotel and is a good starting point before going to Magaluf I would return to Palma Nova and recommend it to anyone but I probably wouldn't return to Mimosa Park.

People who moan about this hotel must never be satisfied. just back from Mimosa for a week, also went last year.
Rooms on the lower floors have been decorated like the brochure, ones on the higher floors are just plain white walls, but to be honest you don’t go on holiday to spend the duration in the hotel room, i didn’t have a problem with the room you only sleep in it and it was big enough for us. Food varies day to day always a carvery every night and always something for the kids like pizza chips etc. Bar staff quite miserable at times but if you make the effort to say please and thank you then they do the same back!
Hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the main strip of Palma nova, rooms are a bit loud if your on the front of the hotel so try asked to be placed on the back if your on a higher floor than 4 at the back you do get a sea view!
Pool area is big with plenty of sun beds so no need to get up at the crack of dawn
The 5 entertainment people are amazing throughout the day and night all English guys are really enjoy their job and it shows.
Over all hotel mimosa is wicked people who complain what’s wrong with you!

The photographs of the resort pictured both on the internet and in the brochure were incredibly deceiving! The rooms, for example, were somewhat 'concentrated'.
We were on the seventh floor and the noise from the busy road below never ceased! There was a constant 'hum' which stubbornly lingered in the hotel room and indeed throughout the hotel for the duration of the two weeks! We later discovered there was a sewage plant nearby which the clammy and humid weather had augmented a little lets just say. The hotel and just about the whole of Palma Nova was invaded with red and white!
The World Cup, fair enough, but the entertainment, especially in the hotel was aimed at the English population only. For the minority community of Irish, German, Scottish, Welsh, French etc staying there ('minority' being the operative word!) there was a feeling of exclusion and intimidation. Rowdy England supporters ranting in the dining area for instance was a regular occurrence.
A lot of euro was spent on taxis out of the locality just to get a quiet drink. Helpful hint: stay well clear of banana Joe's bar - may be hard due to reps of the place stalking and torturing you to come in. The MyTravel rep didn't have a clue.
The mini lift was the biggest pain in the proverbial. Take the stairs. Basically if you aren't English don't go. As a family of six and a variety of ages, the place just didn't suit, felt like I was in some sort of parallel universe for two weeks resembling an arid British shanty town.

Me and my partner booked our first holiday abroad together at the Mimosa Park and felt a bit down hearted after reading some of the reviews, but when we got there we were amazed.
The hotel was lovely, food was a bit repetitive but what can you expect a new dish everyday and there was always something to choose from, the rooms were spacious and the maid came around everyday to clean and provide us with fresh towels, the staff were fantastic and the entertainers were brilliant we made close friends with the entertainers as we were there for two weeks and we still keep in contact with them.
The beach is so close and the shops and bars are great, Try "banana Joes" quiet by day lively by night they open until about 4am and try the drink called Fat Frogs (lovely 10 Euros for two pints bargain), if you like clubbing like we do get a taxi for about 10 euros to Magaluf and go to BCM'S night club all I’m saying is Foam Parties are crazy!
We loved it here so much we went back to the same place and hotel 1 month later for one week and enjoyed it just as much. Fantastic place really enjoyed it would definitely go back again.

I have just returned from my 4 day hen party at the Mimosa Park. I have been to Magaluf / Palma Nova on a few occasions, and this was my least favourite hotel.
The hotel was clean, bar service good, and everything close by, but the food was awful with no choice, and walls are paper thin.
3 bedded rooms are a bit of a squeeze, but the 2 bedded rooms are much more spacious and brightly decorated.
No good views from any balcony.
Had a brilliant time though, but if I was going back again, I would recommend the Marina Pax Hotel, especially for all inclusive.
Would also comment on how good Flyglobespan were, for a cheaper airline.

When we arrived at the hotel we where initially disappointed. It was on a very busy main road with what seemed like no view. However on entering the hotel we found it to be clean and spacious.
The rooms where of a good size until extra bed was pulled out for kids then it was a tight squeeze, but it was good that the bed folded away during the day.
Because we were on half board we tended to go out a lot at night as the all inclusive guests tended to stay in, and there were always large queues at the bar.
The pool area was large but on arriving back from the beach one day and hoping for a swim we couldn't even find a small space on which to leave our bags. The beds are so close they were almost on top of one another.
The best thing about the hotel was the food, I always say if my kids eat it all then that’s excellent. Laid out in a buffet style the choice was excellent.

If you want a good holiday I suggest going to the Mimosa Park it is a nice hotel.
Being a 3* i think it def lives up to that.
The food is really nice there is plenty to choose from so everyone saying its just chips chips chips open your bl*ddy eyes or get to Specsavers.
There is always sunbeds available and the entertainment is really good.
I think it could do with air con which i think is being done early 2005 so I heard. The hotel was generally quite, not many groups of young lads I think as far as I was aware there was only one proper group and they weren’t to bad just out to enjoy there holiday, livened up the entertainment actually. Ha. Going back in 2006, hope to see you all there.
Love the hotel.
Go go go go go go go!!!

As this was a last minute deal we were not sure what to expect. However on arrival things looked very promising. Reception area was very large with plenty of seating, three lifts to all floors which was very helpful as we ended up on the 8th floor. The room we had was facing the road way which at times was very busy, the room was very clean and the maid service was excellent.
The food in the restaurant was very nice with lots of choice something for everyone, empty dishes were replenished quickly. All staff in restaurant and bars were very friendly they kept up with all drinks requested. As the weather was a bit cooler we did not use the pool although some did the fact that it was quite large with lots of sun beds sure to be well used in warmer weather. We had a very good time enjoyed the company of the other holiday makers we rated the hotel as excellent would return again without hesitation.

I am 25 and my girlfriend is 23. We went on holiday to the Mimosa Park Hotel in Palma Nova, Mallorca. I booked the holiday through Fleetway Travel plc over the telephone. The hotel company Fleetway was not very good. My first problem was that I tried to book over the internet but the transaction didn’t work. I had to wait for a rep to call me back, to be told they didn’t have the flight I wanted. The next problem was the transfer to the hotel. It was booked through Fleet way with the Mallorca local agent 'Alcances'. However, when we arrived at Palma airport, there was no-one there to collect us (even though it was now mid-morning) and the Alcances desk was in fact closed. I asked at the Thomson desk for advice and luckily they were helpful and knew that another company were dealing with Alcances transfers. On the way to the hotel our driver had a problem with the minibus but luckily managed to get us to the hotel without breaking down, but only just! There was no representative for Fleetway Travel as they must expect you to sort everything out on your own. I needed to get in touch with Fleetway on holiday to confirm my flight and return transfer to the airport. They are based in London. The telephone call was quite expensive but if I didn’t call then they said our flight would be cancelled. Luckily I managed to speak to someone who was helpful and they agreed to send a fax with the details of the return transfer to the hotel reception. They did what they said without any further problems so I am glad about that. I had mixed views of the hotel, but my first impression of Mimosa Park hotel was a positive one. The reception area was very clean and the hotel staff were friendly. Although we had to wait an extra hour for the room, we were allowed to make the most out of the all inclusive offer on the drinks at the pool bar. My first concern was that the queue was quite long. This was because there both all inclusive and half board guests were expected to wait in the same queue. You couldn’t help yourself to soft drinks, which is a shame because I have been to similar hotels in the past and they have had better systems for all inclusive guests, helping to speed up the overall service. The bar staff were friendly, but as some people tried to take advantage of the all inclusive system, I would describe them as firm but fair. I would advise anyone not getting a room with sea view (which apparently you need to go to a room 5th floor or higher) to get any room on a lower floor. We waited ages for the lift to arrive and they could not carry many people. Our room was on the 3rd floor so we used the stairs most of the week to get to our room. Your legs might hurt if you have to climb several flights of stairs, so I really would not advise anyone with walking difficulties to go to this hotel. We did a lot of walking during the holiday, which of course was good exercise. Our room was basic but clean. It seemed okay until I tried to slide open the wardrobe door and it nearly fell off. It was broken and appeared to need replacing so I am surprised that no-one in the hotel had picked up on this problem and acted upon it. When I opened the curtains and then saw little bugs crawling over the window I began thinking this could be holiday from hell, although I did get rid of them on the first day and didn’t see any for the rest of the week, so I didn’t worry too much. The lights, taps, fixtures and fittings were all in working order. The air conditioning was helpful but didn’t make a huge difference when it was really hot. I suggest that you hire a fan or take your own just to be on the safe side. It is really uncomfortable during the night when the room temperature is 28 deg c! The corridors didn’t smell very nice which I am not sure was some kind of cleaning agent they use on the floor or maybe this is the general smell of the hotel. It was a shame because the reception is really well presented and the restaurant and pool areas are really nice. Don’t let this comment put you off, but don’t say that you were not warned! The food at the hotel was very nice. The restaurant in this hotel is situated on the lower ground floor, with an outside exit to a pool and another bar with a good sized seating area. The only concern I had was that the choice was pretty much the same every day, i.e. salad with a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian options. However, if you are like me and don’t like veal then you might have to stick to salad some days. In the evening, the chef made an appearance in the restaurant and served the meat of the day.The evening entertainment was much better than expected because there is an arrangement with some entertainment acts in Mallorca to appear on specific nights in this hotel. I was concerned that the hotel entertainment would be similar to Butlins or haven holidays, but as they had professional shows it made staying in was fun. I particularly enjoyed the parrot show and the magic show. I didn’t win at bingo but still, it was fun to have a go. As I mentioned earlier, my views of the hotel were mixed but my favourite aspect was the quality of the food (although not the choice in particular). The pool area is lit up at night and looks really nice. I didn’t try out any daily activities but they look really fun as the staff are good entertainers. They also give you certificates for winning the activities. My ratings out of 10 are as follows: Food choice 6
Food quality 8
Staff 8
Hotel cleanliness 7
General upkeep 5
Overall 7...
Palma Nova is a wonderful place and I advise anyone to go in mid to low season. High season attracts large groups of 18-30''s groups to Magalluf which is right next to Palma Nova. If you like your food and drink then there are plenty of bars and restaurants for you to choose from. If you like clubbing then I advise you to go to BCM in August when you will probably be entertained by international DJ's including Judge Jules, DJ Sammy and Seb Fontaine. Palma Nova, Magaluf and Son Matais beaches are very nice but very popular. If you prefer the quiet life then go to Palma Nova in low season e.g. November. For ideas on days out, I advise anyone to go to Golf Fantasia as we had a great day. However, I was very angry with the waiters who expect you to wait until they come and serve you even if you only want a glass of coke. I went to the serving hatch to pay for one but was told to sit down. Then they give you a bill at the end. I didn’t tip because a) i could have got it myself b) they were rude c) if you look closely at the bill it will tell you that service is actually included at 7%. So don’t pay more than you have to.
The Western Water Park was quite fun but the weather wasn’t too hot on the day we went (sods law), meaning the water was cold. I didn’t go on many rides but the best ride I went on was the rapids. The entertainment shows are first-class and anyone going here must check them out. Near the end of the day I went on the white bumpy slide where you have to face head first, lying on your front on a blue foam body board. After the last but one bump I felt myself go quite high in the air and on the way down i bashed my chest onto the last bump. It hurt a lot and I ended up visiting the first aid room for some help. I am of normal weight and average height, so be wary of this slide, I''m sure these accidents don’t happen very often but just be careful!
The shopping trip to Palma by boat was enjoyable, but don’t drink too much lager on the boat as you won’t feel up to walking very far! Near the cathedral there were a number of street performers including an artist who sold really attractive paintings for a low price.
The ''OK bar'' is one of the better bars in the area of Palma Nova/Magalluf. I was also told Mulligan is a fantastic bar so if you get chance you might want to check that out too. Unfortunately, we only went for a week so didn’t have enough time to check out all 200+ bars in the surrounding area! On the subject of nightlife, Poco Loco's club was full of people on 18-30's holidays. The reps encouraged them to drink as much as possible. It was fun to watch but I wouldn’t want to take part. We were promised a free drink and a shot if we buy just one drink. So I bought one for my girlfriend and one for myself. We were given two drinks each plus one shot each. It came to 9 euros, meaning we were charged 4.50 for one drink each. In which case, I think we really paid for the extra drink! The shot was peach schnapps so very inexpensive. Don’t be fooled. Go to the liqour store and see how much you can pick up a large bottle for!
If you actually want to enjoy Spanish cuisine or the real Mallorca culture then try another part of the island or even the capital Palma itself. Palma Nova is a nice place but it is definitely influenced by the British. If you like the nightlife then stay at a hotel on the Palma Nova side such as Mimosa Park because you are not kept up all night by groups aged 18-30. It is quiet here, but still close enough to walk to the local attractions, bars, clubs and nightspots.
All in all we had a nice holiday, with only a few minor problems during our stay. If the rooms were of better quality then I would definitely stay at this hotel again, without a doubt. Also I will probably book through a different holiday company such as Dedicated Holidays who I would recommend for being well organised.
