Stayed here October 2nd to 9th. Nice clean hotel but if I wanted to be picky I would only give it 2 stars, only because of the bathroom having no extractor fan so the ceiling was all water marked and floor was a bit grubby, lots of long hairs to be found at the sides of beds.
We survived the tornado October 4th - tables in the pool/reception area got flooded, outside our room got soaked from the fire doors. They put blankets down to soak up water, removed the following day BUT the smell was awful. They did have carpet cleaners in the reception but they needed them in the corridors. The maintenance staff were brilliant as the pool was full of debris after the tornado. It was brown water at 7pm, the following day it had all been cleaned.
We think the food was excellent; good choice - carvery every night. Miguel the waiter made a big fuss of my 7 year old son pinching his plate, teasing him he was the only member of staff that smiled all week. Entertainment well we went out every night as if you were not in the bar for 7pm you could not get a seat as all the older/all inclusive had put there cardigans or bags on the seats. You could not expect a 7 year old to sit until 10pm for the entertainment to start.
No kids club open, even though there were plenty of children. The hotel was around 85 -90% couples aged 55 plus who took over the seats at night. I personally would not go to an all inclusive hotel again, stay with half board more relaxed.

This was one of the best holidays that I have had. The rooms were cleaned every day. We were three in a room so it could be a bit squashed, but no complaints. The walls are a bit thin though. The food was good, especially the breakfast and so was the entertainment, especially the afternoon quiz sheets.
I want to especially thank Emma the rep at the hotel, who did a wonderful job. Even when the tornado struck the hotel, Emma and the staff were very efficient in seeing that every one was alright and also setting about cleaning up as soon as it was over.
The bar staff were very pleasant. Even when there were queues at the bar, they kept everything running smoothly.
I went on this holiday with four 17 years old and they said they had the time of their lives. There were loads for them to do as the hotel is situated in walking distance to everything including the beach, 2 minutes walk.
Thanks to all the staff at Mimosa Park.
I will be returning to this hotel again in the future. It is a great place for all ages.

Having read a few reports on this hotel, some good some bad, we would like to say we found the hotel good, food good, rooms ok , clean tidy. What you should expect from a 3 star.
As we were all inclusive like many others don’t expect to be served at an instant it’s the queues at the bars with us English that make it busy, the waiters do very well to serve you.
We stayed at the time a tornado hit 4th Oct, hotel took the punishment well and after 24 hours you would not have known anything had happened. The lobby was flooded, some rooms were flooded but the staff and guest got it back together in no time.
We would go back to this hotel in the future.

The Hotel was basic, but clean, apart from the one pool, the other is a tiny paddling pool, even though it was cleaned by the staff daily, which are absolutely brilliant by the way, but this was spoilt by the holiday makers who seemed not to care about what went into the pool.
The walls in the bedrooms are paper thin to the point where if the person next door is smoking you can sometimes smell it, even though the balcony door is closed & if they are talking you get their full conversation.
Our tour operator told us it was a non-all-inclusive hotel & very family orientated which made us as a family book it. Well when we arrived we found out it was an all inclusive hotel & people i.e. stag & hen groups abused the bar & jump into the pool naked in front of my daughter on numerous occasions, now I am myself only 26 & I do know how to have a laugh & I know how to enjoy myself but these people took it to a whole new level.
Some of the holiday makers sat round the pool all day drinking them stayed in the hotel most of the night till about 12PM drinking then you could see them all heading for Magaluf which is when you were able to get served at the bar & enjoy the entertainment.
The entertainment in the hotel is ok & the Reps really try their best to do the best they can, the beach is quite close to the hotel only about a 5 min walk & the beach is close to all the bars.
The food in the hotel is good they do a variety for you. I only ever saw two cockroaches, once in the restaurant when we were eating & then another outside the hotel entrance.
The staff are really helpful & they work really hard & really long hours to please everyone. I would recommend the Pirates Adventure Show & the Rancho Ranch both excellent value for money & great days out.
I wouldn't chose to stay in this hotel again if I went back to Palma Nova, if you do decided to stay there & find it a bit too rowdy there is a quite solarium just through the hotel where you can really catch the sun instead of sun bathing by the pool it is quite peaceful there.
The beaches are lovely, we walked to all 3 of them all of them are quite close to each other, the sea was lovely & warm & you can even go snorkelling too as the fish come near to the shore.
Palma Nova is a lovely place & Palma is worth a visit too, the cathedral is beautiful.

Me and my partner have just returned home after a lovely short break. The hotel rooms are basic but it is a 3 star and you only use them for sleeping and washing anyway so that’s all you need.
We really enjoyed the food, even my partner who is really picky didn’t have any trouble finding something to suit his taste. There was a choice of salad, pasta, fish, veal, chicken, pork and beef so I don’t know how anyone would have trouble with choice.
The pool area was very clean and we never had any trouble with getting a sun bed where we wanted one. The entertainment day and night was good with a really friendly entertainment team. The hotel only had English in so everyone communicated well and was really friendly.
Yes there were occasionally queues at the bar but that’s just because English drink alot especially when it’s all-inclusive. The bar staff handled the queues very well and got through customers quickly and always with a smile(especially Jesus who always seemed happy to help).
All in all we had a great stay in Palma Nova and will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future.

Stayed here 4 years ago came back for a second time to see if it was just as good, it was, food very good although at snack times the food was either over cooked or under cooked.
The last time we stayed you could order food from the bar much better than having set times to eat snacks all inclusive is supposed to be available all day isn't it? Not when they feel like putting it out but that's only a little grumble, awkward if you where going out and when you get back fancied something to eat and there was nowt left.
Overall the hotels very well presented the hotels staff very pleasant entertainment ok, kids loved it, also air-conditioning in rooms very much appreciated, lovely views from the upper floor balconies overall a very nice hotel.

Just go back from a week in Palma stayed in Mimosa Park hotel. We did not read reviews before we went and was shocked at how great the hotel was.
First night we had trouble with a group of noisy lads next door knocking and running off we phoned reception and they were fantastic and sorted it out within minutes!! Food was very good and the night time entertainment was great.
We booked to go to pirates through the tour rep and was angry when arrived and we had rubbish seat could not see a thing would advise before going booking the upgraded seats we spoke to our rep Emma who was amazing and sorted it out and we got moved and had a fantastic night !!
All I would warn about the hotel is the sun care adviser, she told us that sun cream is rubbish and full of wax which would damage out skin so we brought her sun care product and came out in a massive rash all over my back. So just beware.
We will be going back to this hotel again and can’t wait.

Entertainment: The Evening and day time entertainment was very good. We really enjoyed the Hypnotising show!
Rooms: Were very clean and of good standard. Bed sheets and towels were changed once a day. The maids were friendly and helpful as well.
Food: Was full of salt.. was like eating sandpaper.. The food was very repetitive. Was either pork, chicken, beef or fish, with the same flavour sauce day after day. Wouldn’t go for an all inclusive again.
Staff: I have stayed in a variety of different hotels but have never experienced such poor customer service. There wasn’t a friendly atmosphere, most of the staff walked around with grumpy looking faces! It was like being back at school, you had to queue for your drinks at the outside and inside bar, was a lack of manners there too!

I booked a week away with my mum, looking for a lovely relaxing week in the sun. We had read reviews and this hotel sounded fine.
Now, I shall start with the positives. The rooms are cleaned very well daily, you are supplied with clean towels every other day, the breakfast selection was good although you had a very small plate to use. Each day you had a good selection of salads.
What could have been better..a lot better.....The food was boring and repetitive, in fact although all inclusive we ate out for 2 nights. The snacks for all inclusive guests out of meal times were not good (unless you like burgers and chips). We resorted to salads, which is too much after a few days. The drinks were fine, they have an interesting way of serving you at the bar - you have a line up in an orderly fashion, then the waiters shouts "next", waves his arm and you have to go to him. The staff are so miserable and don't expect a smile.
The lifts are horrendous, you sometimes were waiting for minutes. There are 2 lifts for the whole hotel. Ask for the first floor if you go to this hotel.
The walls are cardboard thin. You can hear absolutely everything going on the rooms adjacent. For us, that was terrible as we were situated between a couple and 2 young lads who were holidaying together. We were woken up at 1am, 3am, 6am with shouting, arguing and knocking on the walls with "good morning" being shouted. However, this is not totally typical of the type of guests staying here. We were unlucky in that respect.
The pool bar is closed at night, if you want to enjoy a drink outside in the evening, it was not well lit. We did not stay for the evening entertainment, this was due to it being inside where it is cramped and hot. The entertainment was not really our thing, however it was packed every night. I'm sure the children in the hotel enjoyed it.
There is a children's room by the restaurant - I never saw it open though. The pool area is very small and cramped. My advice is to go to the beach which is a 5 minute walk. The beach is absolutely lovely.
In my opinion, this hotel should be a 2 star. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay there again.

Just arrived back from 1 week at the Mimosa Park. My daughter, grand daughter and I stayed on an all inclusive basis.
Hotel needs completely refurbishing, the decor and furnishings are definitely 1970s. Staff are excellent and all work very hard. Food is plentiful but becomes a bit repetitive after a while, but I think the same can probably be said for a lot of hotels. Entertainment was as you would expect, the team were very good with the kids.
We were unable to get a sun lounger the whole week because unless you are willing to get up at 7 am and put towels on the beds you just don't stand a chance of getting one.
Some people definitely took advantage of the all inclusive option and indulged in a little too much alcohol, which resulted in the police being called one evening to investigate a fight in the entertainment lounge.
Palma Nova is a nice resort, with a lovely beach and is child friendly and although I would go to this resort again, I would not stay at the Mimosa Park.

Just got back from a weeks holiday in the mimosa park hotel (half board). Myself, my husband and 6 year old daughter all had a lovely time. The rooms were cleaned every day, which was nice. Clean towels daily.
The entertainment team (andy-mac, Laura, Lauren, Katie and Ralph) in the hotel were brilliant; my daughter loved every minute of the mini disco which they held every night for kids. (8pm-9pm).
I myself enjoyed a fun game of bingo each night with good prize money (35-40 euros a line and 150-200 Euros a house). Unfortunately didn't win but never mind.
The only down side I could say is that a couple of nights were a bit noisy but this is to be expected I suppose when on holiday and the hotel rep and staff do try to tell people to keep the noise down late at night.
The food in the hotel was nice, not a great selection for children though. The hotel staff were friendly enough but could have been doing with smiling a little more. Hotel rep (Emma) was lovely. We booked to go see the pirates show through her and it was worth every penny. Strongly recommend people to go see it.
The rooms were very basic which was fine but i feel some rooms should have had a fridge in them just for the people who are half board like ourselves so that you can keep water cool.
Overall we had a good holiday and if we went back to Palma nova we wouldn't rule out staying there again.
All rooms had air-conditioning which was a god send.

Hotel is in a good position, right next to a supermarket and just a few minutes’ walk from the beach.
Palma Nova is a nice place with Magaluf in walking distance. Plenty to do in the evenings.
The hotel reception was pleasant, clean and staff were friendly. Rooms were quite small though with very uncomfortable beds and was not too pleased with the dirty brown marks on the walls!
In the evening the entertainment was at times quite awful and the queue for the drinks some evenings was so long we gave up!
Hotel probably more suited to families as there were lots of children around and the presence of a pool table and table tennis outside made it quite difficult to relax.
Food was buffet style, nice at first but quickly became very repetitive.

Our first family holiday abroad with our two children aged 7 and 8 was a great success.
The Mimosa Park has a lot going for it. The food was great and the hotel clearly tried to keep cleaning to a high standard.
The pool area was fairly cluttered with sunbeds but we were always able to get some. The kids loved the pool. The shallow end and deep end are separated by a dark line on the bottom of the pool, we were initially concerned about this, but the kids were old enough to understand this. There is a separate area for smaller kids with very shallow water.
Our room was the main disappointment as four single beds were crammed into one room and the cleaning was basic. Our view wasn't great so we hardly used the balcony either. We felt this compromise was bearable as most of our time was spent out of the room.
What really made the holiday was the entertainment. Games, quizzes, and demonstrations etc through the day and a variety of mini discos, shows, performances, bingo etc in the evening.
I was initially a bit disappointed that they didn't have proper Kids Clubs as I was expecting but this was the next best thing. We were pretty much tied to the hotel most nights but all the children sat together near the stage. The entertainers Andy Mac, Katy, Lauren, Laura and others put 120% effort into their performances and were lovely to the kids. We were all happy to stay up till around 11pm most nights.
There was a mixture of holidaymakers and a few too many stag parties and hen parties for a family hotel which meant a bit of noise through the night. The hotel staff were generally more mature and some were cheery and some were glum but all worked hard to serve you quickly and efficiently.
I definitely recommend All Inclusive. San Miguel, cocktails, large spirit measures, all went down well. Did a few excursions, Marine Land was disappointing, Pirate show very good but overpriced, don't pay for better seats, Western Park great but not very "Western" at all and the Blanket Trips try to sell you orthopaedic mattresses but don't hard sell. OK if you don't mind losing a hour or so out of your day. They are much cheaper than normal trip prices and just the same otherwise.
All in all we came home happy and brown.

Nice food and very clean hotel, however very far from Magaluf which wasn’t good for us. Taxi is only 4 euros though so it’s ok.
Definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel for families as there is a lot of young groups, us included which do make a lot of noise at all times. Only watched entertainment once as was half board and drinks very expensive. It seemed ok though, we met people who were all inclusive so got free drinks. The security were very efficient in sorting problems out as we found on the first night when we got threatened to be kicked out for the noise.
Only experienced one problem which was the maid stealing money from our room. Our own fault really though.
walking up the stairs is also quicker than the lift but it keeps you fit.
Overall a very good holiday but wouldn’t return to this hotel as too far from Magaluf.

A fabulous hotel! Ignore what other people have said criticising it! A really great hotel!
There was a variety of entertainment each night which was very good and funny, it finished at 12 ish each night, so then if you want more booze then there is a nightclub style bar just 2 mins away called banana Joes! A very good bar!
It is 500 metres from the beach but it is just a 2 minute walk, and then you have a selection of beaches!
They put on shows in the hotel such as, cabaret, hypnotist, parrot show, and there was bingo each night!
The rooms were always cleaned each day and were in good condition, supplying free air conditioning, and free TV, with bbc1 and sky news.
The pool was great and the entertainers were great the one and only Andy Mac! (Worth a trip to have a laugh at him!) But they were all good, Katie, Lauren, Laura, and Ralph!
With all that said had a great time with no trouble what so ever! Would definitely go back there again!
