Just came back today first impression not good the railing going up the staire at the door was wobbley and had a sharp bit at the bottem the pool i thought was very dangeraous a lot of kids slipping over 1 kid gave himself a good bang on the head there is a life guard but spends his time in the pool bar doing bar work
reception staff not very helpful there is a limit to how much drinks u get at the bar so if my husband went up to get us a drink u are only allowed 2 drinks at a time when we have a family of 5 witch ment myself going up as well
for a all inclusive holiday the bar shuts at 12am then u have to start paying the rooms was very basic and the food for the kids was terible there was no choice apart for sauage burgers for beakfast dinner and supper if the kids dont eat it on monday they will not the rest of the week as no choice for them. have to pay for food at pool and the t.v bar was closed the whole 2 weeks there. overall give this hotel a big, big miss..........

Absolutely amazing place!
Direct holidays were fab - they did absolutely everything to perfection! Very cheap too - considering it was an excellent hotel & all inclusive!
All inclusive is the best - will never do self-catering again! The food at this place was amazing! It wasn't set menus - they had everything from carvery's, salads, hot food, sandwiches, burgers, desserts and kids food every single day! Even leaving food in the dining area for those late birds - had a burger at 2a.m!
Resort is lovely, it's on a bit of a hill - but is 5 mins to one beach, 10 mins to the other!
Very close to Magaluf, but you can get away from it all!

Where do I start? Oh the first night! Just got there on time and made it for the evening meal. Nice food and plenty to eat.
The sweets did get a bit repetitive during the week but there is plenty of fruit. The first night again, spent most of the day traveling so we all had a few drinks and decided to get some sleep to get the holiday off too a good start. Fell asleep no problem.
420AM woken by the next door couple fighting and swearing so you can imagine we were not too happy. Talked to the rep who had a word and that was it for the rest of the week so we did sleep.
7th floor balcony had a great view over the bay so very impressed. Hotel was great, staff were very helpful and the lad [9] enjoyed the games they had for the kids morning and afternoon. The pool is great with plenty of sun beds but will probably get busier as the season progresses.
The drinks were good and were served till midnight. Overall a great holiday apart from that first night. I also bumped into an old friend I had not seen for 18 years so it added to our holiday experience. It is a small world. Regards James.

We travelled here with 4 adults and 2 children. First impressions is the flight of steps leading up to the hotel, there is a lift for wheelchair users but the lift was broken, numerous guests had problems without it.
There is another step of steps which aren’t as steep but very inconvenient.
The food is nothing to write home about either, chips or chips, many nights my 2 kids had nothing as they were sick of the same foods.
Entertainment was rubbish, the kids disco lasted 20 mins and it was the same songs every night .
Definitely not for the elderly or buggies.

After reading other reviews (after we booked) I thought "What have I done?", and our first impressions when we entered the basic "Gothic" type room, I thought we had entered a monastery or "Nunnery".

HOWEVER once we got used to the accommodation, the rest of the hotel was V good and the food was above average, they catered for all tastes and diets, in fact the head chef was out regularly checking on the condition and display of the food, which was impressive.

As we were All inclusive, all the drinks were in the price, which were served by friendly staff and we could have anything we wanted (local drinks) which was excellent.
The hotel being on a hill with steps leading up to the entrance was sometimes hard to get up, but good exercise. I would not recommend this hotel to disabled people because of this fact.

Palma Nova have some really nice beaches and some good bars, BUT be warned of the TIME share salesmen who may offer you scratch cards and say you have WON something Don’t believe it, and do not believe them if they say they are representing some top travel companies. Also the area is abound by young football fans, which can be a bit noisy.

On the hole we had a great holiday and would return again.

When I arrived at this hotel I was a bit nervous as Id read some not too great reviews. We had a lovely week, the hotel staff were very friendly, the food? Not 5star but we found something nice to eat every day. the hotel was full of families, but I gather that in July and august it is mainly singles. I would certainly go back here in October again. The one thing I wasn’t so keen on was the hotel is at the top of a hill and then stairs up to the hotel. we were able to walk off all the meals, but I still came home heavier. Enjoyed my holiday, great weather as well.

Booked this hotel on the understanding that it was a family hotel...went mid June with a 5 yr old and a 2yr old ! What a mistake.

The hotel itself was nice the problem was the big groups of girls and lads on short breaks getting as drunk as they could as quickly as they could and then being loutish and a complete embarrassment. The language and their behaviour was disgraceful....I am no prude i hasten to add but when there are lots of families with young children I would have expected them to be a bit more considerate.

Then there was the food issue it was very basic and extremely monotonous when staying for 2 wks.

We were advised that there was kids entertainment.....this is 1/2 hour mini disco in evening !! Not my idea of entertainment.

Basically if you are looking for a cheap and cheerful holiday in a good location and you’re not massive foodie and you don’t have kids then you will probably find this hotel ok - otherwise avoid like the plague. <br>

Allocated a room on first floor which was so small that one of kid’s beds was next to the balcony window and the other on one side of room making it almost impossible to move around the room. The people in the next room were still making plenty of noise until 5a.m. so kids could not sleep. No-one told us that a "Slingshot" ride is just outside the hotel and operates until 4 or 5a.m. every morning with riders shouting and screaming on the ride.
The hotel was in a poor condition with loose wires around lift lights, virtually every door having a kick or punch mark, a wall near the hotel was crumbling where it was hit by a coach, cockroaches in the hotel and a smashed up car across the road. As all-inclusive we felt obliged to have all meals in the hotel but the food was so bad and repetitive that after 3 days we could not eat there any more. For kids on all-inclusive you would expect free ice creams at any time but it was actually limited to lunch and dinner hours and was only a tub of ice cream and not what kids expect from an ice cream! If they wanted an ice cream at any other time you had to pay for it.
The entertainment was almost non-existent with kid’s entertainment a 20 minute "mini disco" which was just a collection of songs on CD that a hotel employee danced along to, which kids could dance along to as well. The tour rep was no help at all and was only interested in selling excursions and nothing else. To sum it up this is what we call a holiday from hell.
