" FANTASTIC!!! I thought it was... "

FANTASTIC!!! I thought it was brilliant, me and 5 others went for a girly week. It is lively and enjoyable. The entertainment was great. The hotel is near all the bars and clubs and walking distance to the beach. The staff were nice and pleasant and very helpful. The food was great it had everything we liked which was good because some of the places to eat were very expensive. We had an amazing time, worth going again, its worth the money.

" My wife and myself have been to this... "

My wife and myself have been to this hotel a few times and although it is on a steep hill the resort centre is on your doorstep with lots of shops and bars. The hotel is what you would expect for the money, the food is ok and we found all of the staff to be nice and the bar staff a good laugh with no long queues. The bedroom was ok, bathroom clean with towels changed everyday, not many tv channels but hey who sits in all day watching telly. We have always had a good time there and would go back again, we would rate this hotel ok for one weeks holiday.

" A very enjoyable holiday. Pool OK,... "

A very enjoyable holiday. Pool OK, food quite poor, had to eat out once or twice although the packed lunches we received prior to golfing were really good.

Entertainment at night was hysterical some of the acts were really good. Bars were excellent, we found out that if you tip the bar staff with a 10euro note you got real vodka.

The hotel itself was really clean although when we arrived one of our rooms was not ready and we all had hangovers due to the fact that our flight was at 5:30 in the morning and we arranged to meet in the pub at midnight, so this caused a wee bit of an upset, all in all a good time was had.

" The holiday was ok. Nothing to shout... "

The holiday was ok. Nothing to shout about but nothing to moan about. We went for 7 nights all inclusive.

I went with my 18 month old daughter and my sister age 16. I am 23.

The entertainment was perfect for us, something different every night. Our entertainment consisted of Elvis impersonator, Grease show (included hotel guests), Karaoke (great if ya like karaoke), reptile show, Mr Honolulu (FABULOUS, again it was hotel guests), Balancing act (I enjoyed it) and the other night we went out and so missed the entertainment.

The hotel itself was clean and kept tidy, apart from the rooms, they could have been cleaner; we found an old smelly sock under one of our beds and dust from like years ago. The rooms were also very dated and could do with sprucing up a bit.

The cot they gave me for my daughter wasn't up to much and so I just let her sleep with me, it was safer. My biggest gripe with the hotel was the sound proofing, it was shocking.

Our hotel had a number of young groups of lad’s n lasses who brought people back, need I say more. Very hard to sleep when you can hear everything that is going on in the rooms above, below, and next to you.

The only other BAD thing about the hotel is the steps and the steep hill. To get to the hotel you had to go up a very very steep hill which was hard work in the heat with a buggy, after a few days you do get use to it though. But those steps....NIGHTMARE, there is no other way into the hotel and unless someone was there you had to manage them on ya own, in the heat it was a nightmare.

The pool is fine, nothing special but it's clean and there are lifeguards at all times. There is a separate pool for the younger children, but quite often it was too rough in there for my little girl as the older children would be fighting in there. The area around the pool could do with repair; the broken tiles are sharp on bare feet.

Food was great, plenty to choose from, and something different every day; obviously there were also a lot of things repeated on a daily basis. The deserts weren’t really to my liking but my little girl loved all the really strange coloured jellies, cakes etc which were normally bright pink or green.

Fruit was always available and so was ice cream. Food was available all day in the main restaurant, (except for half an hour after and before main meals) the only thing was that the food at the pool bar wasn't included in all inclusive so u had to walk back upto the hotel if you wanted anything. With the steps and a pushchair this was a nightmare if my sister was off somewhere.

Staff were lovely, really nice people. The ladies in the restaurant couldn't have been more helpful and polite. They always made a point of talking to the children and absolutely loved the babies. The one person who I didn't like was the manager; he was not that nice and made you feel very uncomfortable when he was around.

Yes I would go back to Hotel Honolulu as for the money I paid, I couldn't expect more than I got...I paid for two to three stars and that is what I got. Don't go here if you want more than you are paying for, you won’t get it.

" Just arrived back, the hill and... "

Just arrived back, the hill and stairs are not suitable for people with walking difficulties or in a wheelchair. The pool could do with an overall it is showing it`s age.

The hotel is clean ,the staff are very friendly and helpful, food is good with a carvery once a week, a good bar, the entertainment is nothing to talk about ,it finish at 11.00 clock.

The big disappointment comes at weekends when parties of all males or females arrive for a 2 day binge either for a birthday or stag or hen night and they go wild, causing havoc ,drunk , swearing ,climbing over the balconies into each other’s rooms, throwing drinks off balcony on people below, males and females flashing at people below.

On our last but one day 2 lads arrived got drunk, went in their room and urinated on the people below. They were reported, the police came and arrested them, and everybody on the patio stood up and cheered.

" I have stayed at this hotel twice now... "

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and it is in a fantastic location. Although it says it is in Palma Nova it is on the top of a hill and the Magaluf strip is situated to the right of the hotel few minutes’ walk away, so you have the best of both worlds if you want the busy nightlife.

Due to the location there are a lot of Hen, Stag parties and groups of young men and women that stay at the hotel so can be rowdy at times although there is security to keep the noise down.

I do think that the parties and group rooms should be separate from the families rooms thou, as it can get very noisy and rowdy at times at present they mix everyone together and obviously the younger holiday makers are strolling in at all times full of alcohol and being quite loud so disturbing the families sleeping.

The hill you have to climb is quite steep so not suitable for people who have difficulty in walking. The hotel is clean although I was a little disappointed with the room we had this time round think the air con had been leaking so the wardrobe was damp and smelt of damp.

The food is good plenty of choice for everyone although I did think the variety for children could be improved, the dishes are a bit fussy for children and they serve quite a lot of fish and meat dishes.

Again the all inclusive drinks are good the Vodka is like rocket fuel so ask for loads of mixer with it but plenty of choice of different spirits, local beer, and cocktails.

The entertainment is featured mostly around the children but the evening entertainment had improved since I first visited in April. The beach is a few minutes’ walk straight down the hill.

I went to the Pirates Show in April and it is a fantastic night out and would recommend it book through one of the local tour operators rather than the Hotel as it is cheaper only 5 minutes away in a taxi.

" Went to this hotel with my husband... "

Went to this hotel with my husband and son who is 12 for my 40th birthday I’m not surprised it was cheap it was disgusting. Our flight was delayed 4 hours going and 3hours coming home.

There was a bunch of lads, about 20 of them drinking all day making fouls of them self’s, messing about in the pool when there were kids in the pool, wasn’t very nice.

The rooms was disgusting can’t comment on the food I thought it was ok but my husband just had soup everyday for a week.

This hotel should be for couples with kids not an 18 to 30 because that’s what it felt like being woke early hours of the morning girls an lads shouting an screaming, I would not go out of the hotel at night in case I saw something I didn’t want my son to see.

There was nothing to do for the kids it was a joke I wouldn’t recommend anyone with kids to stay here or old people.

I would never stay here ever again it was a waste of money, if you read this review please believe me as I read some of them an didn’t believe it but honestly they are true. We would never stay there ever again.

" Having just returned from a weeks all... "

Having just returned from a weeks all inclusive holiday in Magalluf at the Honolulu Hotel I feel the need to write about the fantastic time my partner and I had - especially after reading the really negative reviews.

As many people have commented, the Honolulu is situated on a hill but it's hardly Everest! After walking up it a few times, it's fine - obviously people have nothing better to do than moan before they've even set foot in the hotel. Nothing like getting in the holiday spirit!

On arrival, the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and we were issued with a room on the third floor and safety deposit box in our room. The room was clean and large enough for what we needed. The bathroom consisted of a bath, sink, toilet and shower. The room itself consisted of 2 beds, a TV, a bedside table, a wardrobe, drawers and a dressing table with mirror. We also had a balcony with a view of the sea. Our beds were made every day and cleaned well. Being in Magalluf, one should expect to hear some noise due to the nature of the place. Personally it seems ridiculous to complain about the noise considering where you are. Having said that, the noise was not an issue and we managed to sleep well with the door open all night.

Facilities in the hotel were very good. Food was available nearly all day long and each meal time we had the choice of several types of food served buffet style. This ranged from salads, soup, cold and hot meat, rice, chips, potatoes as well as Spanish specialities such a paella. A range of drinks and desserts was also available. Staff in the restaurant were efficient and friendly. Our plates were cleared almost as soon as we'd eaten but due to the nature of the buffet style layout and the fact that hundreds of people were dining at different times of the day this was fine.

The bar area was big and the selection of drinks available was more than adequate. The bar staff were also very friendly. Evening entertainment also took place in the bar area and this consisted of bingo, children's activities/discos and other cabaret type shows. These were great for families and groups of friends as well as couples.

The hotel pool is just across the road from the hotel and is very popular. There are sunbeds and a poolside bar. The pool itself is large enough for children and adults to use.

The Honolulu is situated just minutes from the shops, bars, restaurants and beach. Everything is within walking distance and we found the location perfect. (PS) The East Enders bar is just a 2 minute walk and the staff there are great!

From what I saw, families, couples, groups of friends and single travellers were staying at the Honolulu and all seemed to be having a great time!

A holiday is what you make it and if all you have to do is moan then you may as well stay at home!

We certainly had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend the Honolulu to anybody thinking about staying there in the future!

" Terrible hotel. It's locally known as... "

Terrible hotel. It's locally known as Asbo Towers! We had the misfortune to land there when our flight was delayed recently. No facilities for children. No nappy changing facilities. The doors on the loos wouldn't close. The gents loo was next to the ladies and you could see them all lined up! The manager (or whatever he was on reception) was very unhelpful. There are approx 30 steps to the hotel - no lift or ramp - or assistance. The hand rail is lose and is dangerous. First choice didn't help either but the hotel is the pits.

" Situated just around the corner from... "

Situated just around the corner from the main bars this hotel is at the top of a large hill, the pool is over the road in front of the hotel but is large with many sunbeds and a bar.

The room I stayed in had a balcony overlooking the restaurant roof and the balcony door did not fill you with security confidence. The barmen try and get you to place tips in their jar every time you go to the bar even though it is all inclusive!!

The food is buffet style and reasonable, don't go in out of the allotted times as the staff become very unfriendly! And don't go in without a shirt/vest on. The triangle sandwich 'snacks' through the day left a lot to be desired.

Evening entertainment was butlins style. Also I went with 15 other lads on a stag do very cheap so we didn't have many complaints but there was many families there and we weren't the only stag groups there, so I wouldn't have been happy if I’d taken a family.

On the last day we were kicked out at 11am and placed our cases in a cupboard downstairs which the reception staff were happy enough to give the key to anyone who asked.

One final note, no matter how much of the small cups of san Miguel we drunk we could not get drunk on it! Was there any alcohol in it?!

" Just back from a week’s holiday at... "

Just back from a week’s holiday at the Honolulu. Thought it was brilliant! Had been worried about the hill but it’s really not as bad as people made out, also the extra exercise is good for you.

Lugging your luggage up the stairs into the reception area of the hotel may be a problem though as there is no ramp.

Once inside I was very impressed. It is very clean. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly. The lifts are very small. Don't think you'd be able to fit 6 people in. We managed 4 of us at one time.

Food was a bit repetitive but there was always something to eat which was good for me as I can be quite a fussy eater.

Bar was ace! There's a dude called Jesus and another guy who looks like Fez from "That 70s Show!" You can get pretty much anything you want.

Entertainment was much like every other hotel. Own 'production' of Grease which my friend got roped into, a Tina Turner 'impersonator' and a parrot show. Kids disco was terrible. Was very disappointed even though we were 4 21 and 22 year old girls! Lol It consisted of about 3 songs and lasted about 15mins.

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families as it is VERY close to the strip which was excellent for us but not for kids.

Slingshot next to the hotel but didn’t make any noise that we noticed. Certainly can’t hear it in rooms.

I would definitely return to the Honolulu and recommend it to friends. Well worth the money.

" This hotel is situated on a steep... "

This hotel is situated on a steep hill, on arrival we had to take our luggage from the end of the road as the coach would not drive directly to the hotel. The rooms are very small with no storage for your clothes.

The food is very basic and not worth bothering with. My husband and 5 year old twin girls ate out for the week. Thank God for the El Mecca. The food there is wonderful and reasonably priced and staff are very polite which is more than can be said for the staff at the Honolulu. They are quite rude if you have a problem.

Palma Nova is fabulous; we have been there several times and never had a bad experience. This hotel is a big no no. Would not advise anyone to stay there.

The sling shot is situated directly out of the hotel and is very noisy. The screams go on till 4am every morning and the clubbers start to return so if its sleep you want forget it.

If you have booked your holiday to the Honolulu, take extra money for your food you will need it.

" Well just got back from the Honolulu,... "

Well just got back from the Honolulu, what can I say, we found it very basic. The food was good value for what we paid. It was clean but needs a lot of attention; there are a lot of things that need fixing, as you see when you are around the hotel.

The pool is down some steps and across the road from the hotel, which sits on a hill, not ideal for buggies and people who are not steady on their feet

The only major plus with this hotel, are the views we had, stunning views of the beach and the harbour from our room. The down size is the noise. Lots of broken sleep. The hotel sits along side the strip where the bars are open till 4 am.
There’s a sling shot outside the hotel also.

The beach was spotless as most of the clubbers were still in bed and would go back to Palma Nova but not this hotel.

" What can I say about this hotel?... "

What can I say about this hotel? Rubbish. All Inclusive is an utter laugh.
The food was cold as well as bland. No variety at all. Snacks are ok if you like baked beans, sausages and burgers every day.

The lifts are very small holding just 6 people if you’re a size zero.
Staff were rude and clear your plates before you have finished eating.
If you are considering taking young children to this hotel then don’t bother as the balcony railings are low and the structure is dangerous in my husband’s opinion. (Who is a fully qualified civil engineer). Just take a look from the outside you do not have to be a builder to see how this building is poorly constructed.

On arrival the coach could not drive directly to the hotel so we were left at the end of the road. Then you have a number of steps to climb.
Also the pool is across the road down 4 flights of steps.
The steps are made from marble and we seen several small children slip down the steps due to having wet feet.
I would not recommend this hotel.

" Thinking of fantastic holiday for all... "

Thinking of fantastic holiday for all the family? Think again!

If you want to lose weight would highly recommend - you won’t eat for the whole time you're there, if all inclusive.

Bar staff great but reception and restaurant staff were rude, particularly the reception staff when we were asked to vacate our room at 12pm, when we had paid for a late checkout, when informed reception we had already paid for a late checkout we were told "I don’t think so" - well I don’t think I'll be coming back!

The room are very basic. I spent the whole week living out of a suitcase as no storage space, except 1 cupboard for 3 adults which was full of the seating pulled off the couch and made into a bed. All TV channels were in Spanish except of CNN News not something I want to watch on holiday.

The only person who made us laugh was the bingo caller.

Only good points, Majorca is gorgeous views are fantastic would go back to Majorca but if you want good holiday avoid this hotel. No good for kids, there is a bungee outside our hotel which goes on till upto 4am.

Our rep was useless was incorrectly informed of departure time was kept outside hotel waiting for 1 hour with bags waiting for the coach.

The only good meal we had was on the plane, which at the end of the week I was looking forward to, want my advise eat at Burger King - top notch!
