Panorama Apartments Reviews

Submitted By: ray lewisWe booked independently, self-catering in a private apartment which is worth it if you can as save money. flew with monarch who we always find good. Apartment ground floor and at end so very private and not overlooked. Had peak at few others as walked around and seem ok but basic and nothing like furnishings and as well-equipped as ours. looking at other reviews also seems worth avoiding the apartments facing wall (30's i think).
Complex superb for anyone other than youngsters looking for wild time - very quiet and relaxing, no noise, cannot reserve sunbeds (unlocked at 9 am every morning). Clean and friendly, spoke to many people who have been coming back for years (some over 25 years!!. Everything walking distance except some of the day trips.
Great restaurant and drinking options whether you want cheap and cheerful or something upmarket. great value and reasonable food just outside complex at bottom of hill, really cheap even at 1 euro to 1 pound and had lovely meal at golden hands outside complex. loads of nice reasonable restaurants at night with family entertainment and had incredible meal at verde opposite commercial centre. Slow boat chinese excellent above peurto colon.
Beaches have volcanic sand so darker but very clean, del duque beach yellow sand and best around
We have travelled fair amount, sometimes to some exotic places and stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels but as a family holiday this is best we have had for all of us. Maybe fact were away for new year while cold and damp at home, don't know but can highly recommend and will be back.
Advice: great selection whatever you're looking for except mad nightlife in playa las americas
Activities: favourite restaurants were verde opposite san eugenio, slow boat chinese peurto colon, golden hands
Good for: Beach
" we stayed in this hotel for 2 wks
its in the centre of everything, we were self catering and found the supermarket under the shopping centre at the top of the hill loads cheaper than the so called netto. we had a day trip to monkey park which is fantastic its not realy advertised but well worth a visit and its only 10euros to get in.
the hotel was lovely, its clean and friendly the apartment we had was big and we had a sea view, the restaurant on the corner near the hotel is fantastic the food and drinks well worth the money and friendly staff.
must advise any 1 not to go to the takeaway at the top of the hill called KFC its a bloody rip off and very un friendly.

Submitted By: Miss C PridmoreThe weather was excellent, didn't get a bad day, which always make a holiday perfect. Would definatley reccomend to friends and family, and i'd go back myself.
Panorama Aparthotel is a nice size with a decent size pool, nice food served at the pool bar for a snack in the day, alittle bit of entertainment by the pool at nights, not that we seen it as we went to Las Americas... God don't the PR's do your head in!!! It is a very short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops.
Il look forward to booking my next holiday there for 2010 with all my friends!!!

The food was really good and we received a free xmas dinner buffet, they also have barbaque nights with music and dancing. The location was good with the sea in front of you (although the hotel was situated above the port) and you could walk Right onto Adeje and Fannabe or Left into Las Americas along the sea front also if you walked up the road behind the hotel you were straight into the shopping centre etc. We are rather biased towards Tenerife we have always stayed around this area there is everything you need, if you want be quiet you can or if you want plenty of life in your holiday you can have that too.

Submitted By: Miss S DuryAs soon as we checked in we had to give a 60 euro deposit (returnable on check out) for the room, and we also decided to have the safety deposit box which was an extra 37 Euros (10 euro deposit). So that’s 97 Euros before we’ve even stepped foot in the apartment.
However, after a couple of days I grew to like the hotel. The apartment that we stayed in was quite large and had a kitchenette with a fridge. Other than not having any air con and having the smallest bath the apartment was spot on and very clean. The safety deposit box is quite big, fitted our wallets, phones, video/cameras, hand held game consoles, money, passports etc and still had room.
The staff seemed friendly, though they weren’t the talkative type, just seemed keen to get on with their job with no extra frills. Poolside is clean and there are plenty of sun beds, though like with most places, you need to get there early to get a good spot. Sun bed mats and umbrellas are 1.50 Euros each.
The food at the hotel was pretty limited, but nice. If you want burger and chips every night, then you won’t find it here. They tried to vary the food from one night to the next. Watch the salads though as they tend to attract the flies. They do English breakfast; however you’ll probably notice it doesn’t taste the same as Wall’s sausages and Danepak bacon.
The location of the hotel I thought was really good. You’re within walking distance of Playa de Las Americas, down the hill and along the promenade. In the opposite direction there’s Puerto Colon, which is a quieter town compared to Playa de Las Americas. Passed Puerto Colon there’s a couple of other little sea front towns, which again are still quite quiet.
There’s restaurants and bars, more suitable for families and couples, rather than a heavy night out. If you go up the hill then you’ve got your food shops and souvenir shops. If you go self catering then there’s a big supermarket under the shopping centre on the right hand side, it’s a lot cheaper than the other shops.
Jungle Park – 21 Euros per adult at the park gates. You can get money off vouchers for this park at the airport. Think it’s only 3 Euros per couple, but it’s something. There’s a free bus, make sure you get to the bus stop early to guarantee a seat. The park itself is quite good, couldn’t seem to find the best way round, so we ended up going back on ourselves to get to different areas.
The eagle show was quite good, though seemed more like a big bird show and the eagles didn’t really want to play ball the day we went, but was OK overall. The Parrot show was more like a small bird show. We’ve seen better, but it was good to watch while we ate our lunch. There’s an obstacle course, which was interesting (probably best not to wear flip flops for this). There’s also the toboggans, they cost 3.50 per person but are pretty fun.
Have a go on them if you can.
Aqualand – 23.50 Euros per adult at the park gates. The park is within walking distance, up the hill, over the roundabout, carry on up the hill and cross the dusty bit of land. There is a free bus though you’d probably end up walking the same amount of distance. Lockers are 6 Euros (2 euro deposit). Don’t be fooled by buying a ring, these are 11 Euros each but there are a couple supplied for the rides but are very limited.
The dolphin show is 3-4, so this is the time to go on the rides that require the ring. The floor does get quite hot, so take a cheap pair of flip flops or something; you can leave them at the beginning of the ride. Again you can get money off vouchers for the park at the airport, think its 3 Euros per person, can’t exactly remember.
We didn’t get a chance to go to Loro Parque, but it looks quite good. Think it’s one of the more expensive parks to go to, but it looks worthwhile.
All in all we both enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was pleasant and the location was ideal. If we were to visit Costa Adeje again then we’d probably return to this hotel.
It’s a fairly cheap hotel and I think it suits being a 3 star. It may be a bit out dated, but it’s got the necessities. After all, if you want luxury then you’ll have to pay for it.

Submitted By: Mr D DaviesRooms cleaned well by maids, even cleaned table and chairs on balcony each day. Clean towels provided when you left used ones in bath, no matter how often.
One minute walk to the marina/beach etc, couple of minutes walk up small hill to San Eugenio shops bars etc, all staff friendly and helpful.
You have to hire kettle, toaster, safe, not expensive. Security guard at night, would scare of a pack of rottweilers, high fencing round complex camouflaged by plants bushes, felt very safe here.
This is where to go off season if you want to relax, weather was good, average 25 degrees.
