We booked Almyra on the recommendation of friends. We arrived and were greeted in a very warm manner, with a local sweet and fresh towels. The reception guys were so friendly and our little daughter felt immediately at home. the room was beautiful, although that's an area... more

This place was an unexpected surprise. Although my boyfriend and I flew there on the first week of November, the weather was amazing, warm and ideal for us. After all, we don't like the heat. With temperatures around 25 degrees C, we could sunbathe all day around the... more

Dear All, We stayed in the Almyra for days in the beginning of Oktober 2010. Our advise: If you plan to go out; yes. If you plan to relax and enjoy the sun: no. We were there for rest and we were awaken two out four night by people who had a lot of fun at 03.00 in the... more

The Holiday Was Amazing! Loved Every Minute Of It! The Hotel Really Made Our Holiday! It Was So Clean, Modern And Quite. The Beach Was Right Outside The Hotel Which Was A Big Bonus. The Only Downside Was That There Wasn't Enough Sun Lounges. If You Were Lucky Enough To Get... more

Highly recommend. What a hotel - it made our holiday. Never been to anything like it, the design, the decor, the views, the food, the staff and cleanliness all excellent and only 20 mins from the airport - about CYP17 taxi ride. We took a walk along the beach to next door,... more

Sleek, minimalist and modern - I really liked the Almyra. Certainly deserving of its 4 star status. It's in a great location right on the waterfront and just a few minutes walk from the centre of Paphos. The rooms are well appointed, and vary in price according to whether... more

Excellent
The Hotel was just PERFECT. We had a very nice, clean room with a terrific view over the harbor of Paphos. The staff was always friendly. Booked the next vacation in oct - the same hotel of course
Well worth the money
Stayed at the Almyra hotel twice now and both have been very special. The attention to detail, the efficiency and friendliness of staff, the wonderful child friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. The first time we went was as a couple, the second time was with our 16 month daughter each time was very special and enjoyable. Going back next year, God willing. more
Almyra - A Superb Hotel
We deliberately avoided the school holidays to have a romantic break. Although there were many small children, they did not detract from our enjoyment of the hotel and its facilities. We used the private beach rather than the pool so we rarely heard and saw the children who were nowhere to be seen after about 6.00pm. The Almyra is a wonderful oasis of serene calm and elegant beauty within a tourist town sadly full of bars showing seemingly endless football games. The ambience, food, bedrooms and service were world class... more
great for children but still a nice place for couples
It is true that the hotel is dominated by children. we went in mid-sept , so there where more babies than children there. My wife and I dont have kids, but it was actually quite nice to see lots of little babies around. they tended to all sit round the pool, but there is a nice area of grass next to it which was great for sun bathing. the hotel is a very odd mix- it is half boutique hotel/half package holiday. its actually pretty good value, although i agree with other reviewers that things like the towels need to be improved. we also... more
Lovely relaxing holiday but word of warning
We stayed at the Almyra for a week in mid September and had a lovely relaxing holiday… I’d read all the reviews below after we booked so felt a bit apprehensive before our holiday and tried to manage my husbands expectations (I’d chosen the hotel and had persuaded him that we should increase our budget slightly). When we arrived I relaxed immediately. The hotel felt modern, spacious and expensive, the staff were friendly, attentive and professional. Make sure you go for a room with a sew view, it really makes a... more
Hotel hell (unless you love other peoples children)
Not a great experience! Sadly there were no warnings on the web pages about just how child obsessed this hotel is - it makes a change to be a disadvantaged adult - we have never experienced so many intrussive children completely dominating all aspects of the hotel - the shrieking & screaming starts at about 0730 and continues till about midnight by which time you have abandoned the hotel bar(startlingly expensive) and headed into town for a rest. The pool area is unusable as an adult unless you like being jumped on & hit with... more
What a disappointment !
We stayed in this hotel for two weeks at the end of july/beginning of august...and were extremely disappointed! the price/quality ratio is very bad and while in our country the hotel was presented as a luxurious and relaxing place it is actually just a luxury kindergarten for screaming 5 yr olds...with absolutely no limlits imposed on them to protect the people with no or very small children. The prices of food and wine are just crazy for the quality and the management of the hotel are totally invisible... only positive points the look of... more
quite a disappointment
We have just come back from our 10-days-holiday in this hotel. I would say that was a bad-value-for-money-experience. Overall the hotel looks very nice, we liked the minimalist design and the welcome reception was very warm, the hotel is really child friendly and the room was of a good size (we stayed in 1-bedroom-suite). On the minor side there were cleanliness, sometimes the room wasn't cleaned till 4pm and we had to call the reception to send someone in. Apparently they have a problem with laundry as several times our used towels... more
Amazing Hotel
A fantastic hotel. I absolutley loved it here and never wanted to leave! the children adored it, and were very happy in the kids club. The staff couldn't ahve been more helpful. The design is minimalist, but I liked this as it felt lovely and cool and relaxing. more
Really disappointing
Stayed here in July for just one night with wife, 2 yr old and another couple in an ajoining room. I expected this hotel to be much better as I have stayed in both of the other hotels this goup owns in Cyprus including the Anabelle right next door. First the bad - expensive even for Cyprus in July, very strange check-in procedure where the desk person takes you to the room for a tour - is was awkward, unnecessary and the desk was unmaned during this time! The hotel seems like all form over function - everything looks nice but works poorly -... more
