Anassa Hotel

Yogoloji organised an incredible yoga retreat at the Anassa for parents and children this half term holiday. It was inspiring to see such thought going into a holiday offering. The hotel was wonderful, the staff could not have been more kind and efficient, the surroundings were beautiful, the food was divine and the Yogoloji team who organised the twice daily yoga classes, Ayurvedic treatments, childrens yoga and entertainment were fantastic. This hotel is empty in winter and absolutely not equipped for winter season! The swimming poll area is cold and also all Jacuzzi etc.. You will have nothing to do in the hotel on this period and the hotel is not equipped for cold season with no heater etc... And the hotel is 2 hours away from the airport, and 1 hour away from any golf course if you have to go in a cold weather do not select a villa since they are cold and not close from the main building

This hotel is absolutely superb. It is one of the most beautifully apppointed hotels imaginable and it is set in a location to match -on a lovely stretch of unspoilt beach, the best in Cyprus. Stayed here Sept 06, it was exactly what I was looking for, modern, relaxed and comfortable. The staff were consistently polite and always willing to help. The on site dive and watersports centre stood out as well with Steve - Dive Instructor an absolute star a fantastic place to learn. If you are looking for relaxed luxury then this is the place for you.

We stayed for a week after the main school holidays with our kids before they went to university. We took a junior suite+pool and the kids took a standard suite. Both rooms were generous sized and well equipped, our suite was very nice with a good sized terrace. There was an identical suite next door and two further suites above ours, however despite this we still felt very private and had a beuatiful view. I have just returned from a week's holiday at the Anassa. I did have a wonderful holiday but have a few reservations about the hotel and probably wouldn't go back. The rooms are beautiful and the grounds very pretty. The staff who assist you round the pool/gardens/beach are extremely friendly and helpful. When asking any one in Cyprus which is the best hotel on the island most people will say the Anassa so my hopes were high and rightly so since the hotel lists itself in the 'luxury hotel of the world guide' and is currently ranked as 5* deluxe. Beyond Beautiful! Rooms were amazing -breakfast on your balcony overlooking the med -does it get better? Room -good size, bathroom -huge. pool & beach areas -perfect. Staff was a little slow to respond -but once they did it was 100% friendly and all efforts were made. We stayed at the Anassa for a week in early April and had the most wonderful holiday. In fact I can say this was by far the best holiday we've had since becoming parents 18 months ago. All the staff were very friendly and kind, especially to our daughter. We had seen this hotel during a previous holiday in the area back in 1998. We always said that we would go back to Cyprus one day and "treat" ourselves to a stay at the Anassa. Given that it markets itself as 5* Luxury we had expectations in keeping with other hotels we have stayed in of this class. Sadly, although our holiday was good, we were left disappointed with the hotel. We spoke with the hotel staff about some of the issues whilst we were there and wrote to the Manager when we got home.
