Just got back from this hotel and i was glad to leave quite frankly. The restrictions are ridiculous (no food or drink on the premises that have not been bought there) which was very difficult with the kids. The breakfast was appauling although the evening meals were nice.... more

Grand Faros hotel, the place i now call my second home. The people who work in the hotel are so kind, i miss them all so much. Kenny (Doga) is the best entertainer you will ever find. I came home a few days ago and now i really want to go back. The rooms there are always cleaned and you can trust their cleaners too. It's just amazing!

My very first visit to Marmaris Turkey and already I'm planning another trip. We stayed at the Grand Faros Hotel and it was absolutely perfect (apart from the breakfast). The staff there were friendly, polite and very professional. The hotel itself was nice. My advice for anyone going out there is go with an empty suitcase because the markets and stores are filled with a shoppers dream and bargains. Very Poor Hotel and Service from sunshining
We satyed at this hotel and were advised that this was a 4 Star. I cant tell you how dissapointed we got there. There is no way this is a 4 star hotel, more like 2 star. The rooms were small and tacky and the corridors were dark and dingy. If you fancy flys on your food for breakfast then you will enjoy this hotel. There were not enough sun loungers or even deck chairs, we had to fight off the Germans to find somewnere to sit near the pool. The pool was too small, the views were poor from our bedroom. We had booked this hotel through a third party website (because the hotel wouldn't reply to our emails when we tried to book direct). The location of this hotel is quite good as there is a bus stop on the doorstep where buses go to marmaris (very very vheap) - this takes 5 minutes. On arriving at the hotel the manager was almost surprised to see us (as if he wasnt expecting us) they didnt have a room for us and arranged for us to sleep at another hotel for 1 night. Grand faros is average compared to uk hotels but probably above average to other 4stars in turkey (although there are some gorgeous 5stars...) . We found the staff at reception to have limited knowledge of english however after complaining about the view from our balcony on the first day we were moved to a much better room and were thankfull to them for that. Just got back after a week's holiday, was quite impressed, all in all very good value for money. Staff are very friendly & helpfull & made sure everyone was happy. Food very nice & well presented, a very good lunch time menu was available with resonable prices. Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for a week in August. Although we had a good holiday, the hotel created allot of annoying problems for us. When we first got there we were put into the wrong room, instead of having a double room we were given a twin room, the view was descent although it looks very deserted around the hotel. My self and my partner recently returned from Marmaris and the Grand Faros. I have to say that this was the worst trip i have ever had to the destination of Turkey (having been three times) and it was purely down to the rudeness of the staff at the Grand Faros. more

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at this hotel and had a brilliant time. The staff are so helful and always carry a smile on their face, especailly the team of waiters and bar staff....they definately make the holiday!
