Goudelis Apartments Reviews
" Brilliant "
Submitted By: D AlmondThe rooms are clean and spacious, there are always plenty of sunloungers available no matter what time you get up. The pool bar offers a wide variety of both English and traditional Greek food from snacks to full meals.
The walk to the town centre is about 15 minutes but it gives you the opportunity to build up a thirst for a drink in the bar!
Highly recommended!!
Advice: Sidari has something to offer everyone from independant travellers to family
Activities: Salt and Pepers restaurant on the outskirts of Sidari is a must. Fab food and service.

Submitted By: Mrs D GoodridgeI and my husband got a last minute booking at the Goudelis apartments, I checked them out on the internet, and they looked really nice.
When we got there at 4.30am the bus driver dropped us of and drove away....we found the bar all lit up.... but locked up, no one was about, no one with any keys for a room, we had to sit on the chairs outside the bar until someone came out the next morning. We was shattered!
We was told our name had been chalked on a board and our room number, the rain had washed it of (Not good enough).
We got strait into bed being so tired and went to sleep, when we woke I went to put the kettle on for a drink and it didn’t work. I had to go down and explain to them the kettle was broke and get another one (Not good enough).
That night we went to bed and woke aprox 3am freezing, it was so cold, I looked round the apartment and found no blankets, we had to sleep in our jumpers! The next morning I had to go and ask for blankets for the room ( Not good enough).
How much can you take? As far as we are concerned our holiday was ruined!
And it was our honeymoon!

Submitted By: Mr S BraceyWould recommend these apartments to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing holiday, I would definitely use them again when I return to Corfu.

Submitted By: Mrs B AnsteyWe had a side balcony which was quiet small and only two chairs for three of us. We were giving two hand towels for three of us which were not changed and the sheets were not changed for our week either.
The pool area was lovely with plenty sun loungers and parasols. There was supposed to be a diving board but this was not the case, the basket ball machine was not working either which disappointed my youngest.
The pool bar /restaurant was good and had a good selection of food/drinks. Billy and Spiros were very friendly and they took a shine to my oldest son who has learning problems.
The Goudelis apartments are set quite a way from the centre of Sidari , we did walk it once but my kids moaned all the way. So we used taxis from then on which worked out about 20 Euros a day as we used taxis four times a day.
On the whole our visit to Goudelis was good , only real problem was the distance in to Sidari.
I would go back again to the Goudelis apartments but not with my kids.

Submitted By: Mr M WashbrookSupermarket within 10 mins walk but just watch out for the first day when you think carrying 6 litres of water one mile is a good thing! Apartments very clean, plenty of friendly service, very nice people. Would go back again tomorrow.

Submitted By: Mrs B AnsteyThe only draw back for myself was the distance in to Sidari. We had to use taxis all the time as my two boys couldn’t walk the distance and the fact that we had only two hand towels between three of us for a week.
All in all a lovely time was had. I would return to Sidari and the Goudelis apartments if it were just me without the boys because of the distance from the centre.

Submitted By: Miss Emma HopeThe rooms got very hot at night and we couldn't open our patio doors as this would leave the doors open to the dirt track, we enquired about hiring a fan - but they don't hire them.
Pool bar is very expensive - small glass of lemonade from a large bottle, normally flat - sets you back €2.
Pool nice but lots of wasps and bee's surrounding - I got stung!
Pool bar is dead at night - probably because no effort is made to keep you there!
Towels were only changed once in 10 days, we ran out of toilet roll and was begrudgingly given another one when we asked (would have walked to shop but it was a 20 min walk in 42 degrees!).
Apartment complex is not actually in Sidari it is just outside. Therefore we had to get a taxi to beach everyday and then a taxi back into town in the evening - we were spending €20 a day in taxi fares!
Me and my boyfriend are in our 20's and Sidari is a great place just don't stay at Goudelis!

Submitted By: Mr A DysonA bit out of town but we had a car so didn't have any problems. The food here was also very good and whilst not a lot of choice it was well cooked and presented.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, we were over 12 hrs late due to flight delays but they put a board out for us with instructions so we soon got sorted out (at 4am).
Would suggest you hire a car as the Island is very beautiful and well worth exploring. Only down side is Corfu airport that is too small to cope with the amounts of passengers.
Highly recommended.

Submitted By: Miss CE DunkleyThe family who run them are lovely, very friendly, and welcoming. The bar served reasonable food, though it's definitely worth finding a restaurant in town. The pool was lovely and clean, and relatively quiet, though this could have been due to the fact that we went just before school holidays started.
Sidari itself is everything you'd expect and want from a small Greek resort - lots of bars, restaurants, and tacky holiday shops. While the clubbing scene isn't exactly vibrant, there's still plenty on offer for those wanting to stay up drinking ouzo and dancing on the bars till the early hours! It's a short walk into town, but at 5 Euro for a taxi it's a small price to pay for the peace and quiet of being slightly out of the way.
The only real disappointment was the beach. No long stretches of golden sands here. Watch out, the sun loungers are up to 4 Euro a day, but you'll need one as the sand isn't exactly inviting. The sea is however, gorgeous and clear, and a novel hour or two can be spent giving yourself a natural facial on the clay rocks at Canal d'amour!
A lovely holiday all round, would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing holiday.

Submitted By: Mrs J WilsherThe rooms are nice and clean and was cleaned every other day. They are basic rooms but very nice. The beds are nice and clean. We had booked two apartments as we was told that all the family rooms had gone, and when we got there that was not the case and straight away Carol who ran the apartments said well that won’t be nice and got us a family room ready. Which sleep five.
They keep everything really clean the pool was lovely and clean and the water was warm. The view from the back of our room was very nice. You are away from the centre but this a good thing as at night you can have a quite sleep we spoke to allot of people in other apartments and they was up until 4pm some nights.
We got car hire it not that far and are only5e in a taxi anyway. I would stop at these apartments any day.

Submitted By: Mr C SmithThe accommodation was great, the times we ate at the apts were brilliant. Bbq on Thursday nights with late pool and bar. Although the bar normally closes when the people leave.
Sidari town is a little walk away, but that has the benefit of peace when it’s needed and partying when its not.
Plenty to do, snorkelling, scuba, mountain bike hire, car, scooter etc hire. I would recommend hiring something, as there are some beautiful areas to see not too far from Sidari, and the highest point is a must see (not in the dark at god knows what time in the morning in a soft top - scary stuff lol)
Thank you Billy, Caroline, spiros, Alex and the rest of the Goudelis gang, the families who travel from all over the world at the same time annually (you know who you are).
I would recommend this to any one, be it, family, couple or friends.
Lovely people, happy memories, sad to leave. Will be back again......watch for a post!!

Submitted By: Mrs S JohnsonI would recommend a stop off at the Black Horse for the first drink of the evening. Athena is a good place to eat, but is well worth a visit to the Canal Du More and there are some really good restaurants and Bars there.
The Sidari water park is great value for the kids and with waitress service all day makes it very relaxing for us single moms.

Advice: everyone is really friendly and some great cusiune almost everywhere
Activities: the why not bar is great place to eat and drink, Tom and Dahlia are really nice people
Good for: Beach
