Sunrise Hotel

LOvely hotel, great room, wonderful family run hotel. They really made us feel welcome. Amazing pool, great bar and food. Lovely sun loungers. Short 10 minute walk into Tsilivi centre which is ideal for families.I'd never been to Greece before but I was so impressed with everything. Despite being a 'british' resort, it still managed to retain its authenticity as a wonderful Greek Island.
Would highly recommend it to anyone.
THE only thing I found quite disturbing was the stray dogs and that the greeks do not appear to care for their animals as us Brirish do. THere is a beautiful dog chained up outside the hotel, never seems to get walked, seems desperate for attention. FOund this quite upsetting, but that was the only negative thing I would say about the hotel. Everything else was 100 %.

Lovely accommodation, clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome, food by the bar was excellent and the pool area had enough comfy beds and parasols to accommodate everyone.
Weather was boiling hot every day and night, September is an ideal month to visit Zakynthos.
Good value, Tsilivi is lovely and made for a relaxing holiday. Would definitely go back again.

Going Back to my rating i would just like to make it clear that the 1out of 10 is for thomson and the hotel, My rating for Tsilivi is 100 out of 100 its a beautifull place the food is excellent loads of bars and restaurants and the beach is the best ive ever been too and ive been to quite a few !! Now i came back yesterday from my holiday with my boyfriend we are a young couple were both 21 n had a wonderfull time apart from the hotel and thomson ! they ruined it for us ! To begin we payed £500 pp and a week after we booked it went down to £388 pp i would not recommend this hotel to anyone its a 2 star and runned by a family mainly the mother they seem to have the rest of their family staying there in the nicest rooms ( if there were any nice ones cause ours was shocking) n give the guests the crap rooms! we wanted a room with pool view and balcony on top floor when we got there we were put in a room right at the back on the bottom floor with a shabby balcony and a massive tree in the middle of it, on the ceiling it was covered in spiders webs and hundreds of flies stuck to them, wen we went to the receptionist she said there was nothing there saying we booked top floor wiv balcony and pool view ! but she had a room available but on the last two days of our holiday we had to pack our things and move to another room because she had people arriving in ours so we had no choice but to stay in that room n move for the last two days then on saturday wen we had to move she put us in a room far worse than the first one we were put right at the back by a chicken farm and had roosters cockadoodling till all hours of the morning we didn get any sleep we had an infest of hundreds of ants in our room they were everywhere, the shower only had scolding hot and freezing u couldn keep a warm temp and i scolded my ankle we had a balcony full of branches and ants it was god awful n i wouldn want anyone to experience it thank god it was only for 2 dys but thats not the point for £1000 holiday u dun expect to be moved 3 times and have insects crawling round ur room n be right by a chicken farm it was a waste of money and we worked very hard for that holiday and its jus upseting that we went though all of that crap, now thomson we booked an excursion through thomson which we should never of done coz its cheaper doing it with the people on the resort and u get a nicer boat we paid 70 euros for smugglers cove but on the day of the trip i became ill with upset tummy and we could not attend, when we went to our rep she said she could change the date for us but if it was cancelled she wouldn give us a refund because i didn have a doctors note! and surprise surprise the day of the trip was cancelled and she wouldn give our money back, u cant help being ill n i was very upset that we lost all that money for nothing she didn even seem that bothered so we wont go with thomson again and we will most definatley not go to that hotel it was disappointing but the other hotels around that we looked at were gorgeous i will go bck to tsilivi next year but not to the hotel and not through thomson ! i hope this helps anyone wanting to go there xx it is a really lovely place but be wise with booking ur hotel x
