Pro's:
1, Rula on reception was helpful, very nice and good to talk to.
2, rooms were cleaned daily but sheets and towels not changed that often i dont think.
3, Close to beach and all amenities.
Con's:
1, In a very noisy spot with a bar close by that closed late and a fish and chip shop opposite thats open til 5am! you could hear so much noise in the room we had.
2,You cant leave your air con on when you go out, which is what u really want it for when you come in after a long hot day at the beach.
3, food terrible and we was only B&B.
4, Pool bar was hardly a bar, only about 3 tables to sit at and the hotel was huge!
5, Not enough sun loungers by the pool for the amount of guests they must have in the big hotel that it is.
Would i recommend to anyone? no, not at all, sorry.
(p.s. i am not usually a moany person, i just felt i should write a review and tell people how it was so they can make their minds up for themselves)

This was my first trip to Greece and I was very pleased. I work for the travel industry and had looked into this hotel before we went and yes the reviews werent great but at the end of the day you really do get what you pay for and if you are going to pay around £220 - 300 depending on the time of the year then you have to understand that you are going to be in a basic enviroment. Our room was swept and the beds made everyday, the shower room was kept clean which I believe is the main thing.
Please don't go by the reviews from some people of this hotel if what you are looking for is a base for your holiday as lets face it how long are you going to be in your room for all in all?
Tsilvi itself is a lovely place to visit and the people are so friendly and very unpushy, we ate in Il Gusto which is an italian resturant and it was good food if not a little quiet altho this could be because we went early season. For the rest of our holiday we ate at Giorgios which is amazing! Something for everyone and the friendliest staff ever, we made friends with them and they were so lovely i definitely recommend you go here and try the Zakynthinian beef (sooo good!!) Also, as it was my birthday the day after i got back they brought out a cake and sang happy birthday which was so sweet.
We also spent quite a few evenings in the Arc bar as the guys that own it are so funny and its quite a lively evening to keep you entertained.
We also went down to Tsivili beach most days as it was cooler with a nice breeze, the people offering massages can be a bit much but a simply "no thank you" is fine, although if you have the money definitely have one it was so relaxing! Whilst youre down there try the Miami bar as they do a nice lunch and it also has alot of choice!
As we were on a budget we only did one trip to St Nicholas Beach which was beautiful and relaxing, but i've heard that the turtle trip is nice too!
I will definitely return to Greece and to Tsivili I was really pleased with my budget holiday and the people there made our holiday one to remember!!

The kitchen staff were also the cleaning staff !! We needed to eat out four nights out of seven. The food was practically inedible, served cold, food on display put out at least an hour before dining room opening. No good choices, two main dishes, ( one night choice of squid as main dish and other was orcha ). Breakfast was one cereal and watered down milk. Cheese slices and sliced luncheon meat / ham. Stale bread to toast, hard boiled eggs.( No bacon, sausage or beans or recognisable english food at any meals. ) The room was very basic and rather tired looking, the hotel had re-opened the week before and they were still cleaning and getting ready. Bar not stocked in lobby. Internet desk not set up, though wi-fi appeared to work. Sheets and towels were grey colour and sheets almost threadbare. Our bath not cleaned all week. Taps had no shine, all chrome worn off. We feel they should have had a complete refit, taken more care, more time, and spent a little money on things, Many guests complaining, even foreigners, especially on All Inclusive. Some guests asking for packed lunches because they were better than the lunch time meal. Receptionist very helpful, especially Maria. We found a lovely snack bar on the beach at Tsilivi next to the boomerang bar, recognisable by its lawned area with sunbeds. There is a bus stop outside the hotel with frequent services to Zakynthos town @ 1euro.60 each way per person. Pay on the bus going, but have to get ticket from bus station before boarding for return.
We found Zante a bit boring, not a classic Greek island. Had to hire a car to find something to do. If you hire a car, hardly any lay-byes to stop on interior roads, but a good place to visit is on the south west at Limnionas, which has a taverna ( not expensive ) with it's own private cove, ( no charge ) Villages very modern, not classic Greek.
This is our second visit to Zante, we gave it a second chance !! but we won't go again.

On the plus side we found the hotel to be clean and well located for access to the town and beach, however we were very disappointed with the poor breakfast, no shower curtains so be careful!! the fact that we had to pay extra for the air conditioning and our babys cot ( this was not told to us when we booked our holiday ). Nowadays most business' strife to improve their customer service however we found some members of staff to be unfriendly ,unapproachable and quick enough to remind us that we had to pay extra for the AC and cot. We loved the island and will return however we will not be recommending this hotel to our friends or family for future visits .

ive just got back from the holiday from hell with my husband and two sons aged 11 and 8. the hotel was a free for all if you want to drink 24/7 including teenagers,i confronted a manager about this as my family felt intimidated by thease teenagers only to be told his hands were tied. if that wasnt bad enough parents were too busy getting drunk to take there kids to the toilet and let them dirty next to the pool! everyday a pool was closed due to someone vomiting in it, nobody knew where a bin was to discard there rubbish so that was lying all over. the rooms were two double beds and a bathroom where only one person could go in at a time as it was that small.the slamming of doors and teenagers running amock in the early hours kept everyone awake.then a sickness and dioreah bug had us poorly for a few days which was rife around the hotel, and health and safety were going round the complex taking samples from the pools.my two kids lived on melon and ice cream for nearly two weeks...thank god for the brittania pub over the road where we went daily to make sure our kids got a decent meal. wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone and certainly wouldnt go back there as i informed the manager he just wasnt concerned.total waste of two thousand pounds.

We stayed in this hotel in Sep 2005, it was a great disappointment. We went for 2 weeks and after 1 week I was desperate to return to the UK!
The hotel furnishings were old and tatty looking and looked like they needed a good make over. Our room was dirty and even after maids had been we saw no improvement. The bathroom was disgusting and every time we took a shower the whole bathroom would become flooded with water. We would then have to use the towels to mop up the flooded floor. When we asked for more towels we were told by the hotel we could have no clean towels!! I ended up taking them to a launderette just so we had clean towels!!
We had hot water twice in 2 weeks. One night the hotel had a power cut and had no generator to back up the power. We had no lights or water for nearly 24 hours!! You could not even flush a toilet let alone wash!
The breakfast was not edible and we ended up eating out for breakfast each day.
The swimming pool has broken tiles in it so is not really a good idea to use. The sun beds around the pool were all nearly broken with dirty mats on them.
The actual resort and town was lovely and the beach is very nice. When we were not in the hotel it was fine!!
I would recommend going to Tsilivi but do not stay at the Jupiter!!

I was so disappointed with this hotel that as well as talking to the rep I wrote to Thomson Holidays on our return. I have to say that Thomson were not at all helpful. They even replied to my letter using my husband as addressee even though it was clear from the letter that I, his wife, had written it, and they were unsympathetic saying basically that because this is a 'Just' holiday this is all we were entitled to expect.
My letter described the shabby furnishings, the inedible breakfast, the damaged pool (as the latest reviewer has described), the lack of hot water to our room for 3 of the 7 evenings, the noise, both from the road and from the poolside bar, having to pay to use a refrigerator. The only saving grace was that the staff were kind and helpful though there was little they could do. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and it is poor value for money.

This is the most disappointing and disgusting holiday I have ever had.
Unfortunately I found myself becoming disabled recently and was recommended this hotel by Thomson tour operator. This was far from adequate.
The pool basically was unusable as there was a big sign saying to beware of the broken and loose tiles at the bottom of the pool and to stay away from that area. This was at the shallow end of the pool and the area was considerable. No one went into the pool. The entrance into the pool was down metal ladders. Again not suitable for a disabled person.
The hotel is on the m ain road which acts as Santa pod for motorbikes and the M! motorway for other vehicles. It is loud and annoying. The grounds are at waist height and parallel to the pathways so people can readily see over the very small hedge.
Our room had a fantastic view.......of the biggest tree on the Island!! Furthermore there were no ground level rooms and the rest were up a considerable amount of stairs
The steps inside the hotel were worn and broken and most definitely again not suitable for a disabled person but also a safety hazard for others. In particular and children who may find themselves slipping onto one of the sharp corners.
There were an abundance of flies this year and most of them seemed to be having a whale of a time in the bar/eating area. No anti fly measures had been taken i.e. a sticky fly papers - the most basic kind. Flies swarmed around your food and drink.
The bathroom in the hotel was grotty and looked like it needed a good clean.
However I would say that the staff were friendly enough, except when the Greeks started to have a big row by the poolside and then proceeded to chunter and slam things down.
The centre of Tsivili is 900 metres away
Thomson were still trying to flog trips to see the turtles, when they readily admitted that the turtles had all gone now to nest and wouldn’t see any !
We were transferred from his holiday within 4 days.

Hi to all,
Just got back from the hotel jupiter in tsilivi zante 11-9-2011. This was our 6th time to tsilivi and we know what you pay for is what you get we dont have high expectations but we spent two weeks there . the hotel its self is very nice but the cleaning service left a lot to be desired. The towels and sheets were only changed 3 times during our stay and the floor was never swept but they would mop it and the dirt would just get moved around the room.We also had our 1 year old grand son with us we got a room on the second floor with no cot which we requested. Also our grandson has only just started walking and can move quickly if you take your eyes off him, the balconys at the front are made up of stone pillars wide apart so he could have fallen through these very easily without any efort, so be very careful and aware of this. We changed our room to one at the rear of the hotel which was better as the balcony has narrow railings. As far as entertainment goes at the complex its non existant and the bar closes at 11pm. just as well there is a lot to do round about . We will be going back to Tsilivi Zante next year but we will not be going to the hotel Jupiter i will book one of the apartments we have used previously. Thanks for reading this and hope its of help to you. I you are going to Tsilivi have a great time as it is a wonderful place.
