Absolutely no complaints about the hotel. Clean (maid every day), excellent choice of both hot/cold, mediterranean/english food, good bars, friendly staff. Reasonable pool and entertainment. Mostly aimed at the older generation. If you are 18-30 you will probably end up in the clubs in Laganas, but these are far enough away to not cause any problems for the hotel. The beach and sea are clean and safe being shallow to about 100m. Only criticism we had was with the holiday rep. Never there and mis-selling excursion!

Just returned from Louis Zante Beach Hotel, really let down by Thomas Cook and many other people staying there were also, having been moved here with only a weeks notice, was not impressed at all. However made the best with the weather and the friends we made at this hotel, the entertainments team are recruited by a seperate company from the hotel and did their best to provide activities and a range of entertainments to suit a range of nationalities. Have to say that Willy was a great guy and game for a laugh and the rest of the team Tom, Lucy, Lauren, Kerrie, Eni worked hard to provide a range of activities for the whole family.
Food could have been warmer, but there is certainly plenty of choice at every meal.
Champagne available at breakfast, beer all day is Lowenbrau, and red and white wine on tap, plenty of cocktails and spirits to choose from.
Rooms adequate and clean, Aircon is free, yes free, safety boxes are charged at 3.50 a day but we think that is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
Beach just a short walk from hotel with excellent sand, unlike some with pebbles and broken shells and can also walk out quite a good way before too deep.
Public areas really well maintained, and staff are friendly and helpful.
My kids say that this is the best holiday they have ever been on, and one of them is a teenager, LOL
Overall had a very relaxing holiday playing water polo and darts twice a day
There is a very good street at the end of the drive for shops, restaurants and bars, before entering the main Laganas street, which is not really suitable for children at night.
Would like to say hi to Andy and Elaine (Portsmouth), Andy and Mandy, Casey, Jody (Kent)

Just came back from 2week at this hotel. As previous people have said it is far enough from the party central of Laganas.
Have to agree with some of the things the previous person said. Shop very expensive go down the road or round the corner for supplys(water and inflatables!!). Mossi spray/plug is a must and also take 2 plug adapters if you want to use 2 electical points at the same time!
One more little trick! Your room key has a magnet on it to make the electric work so as soon as you leave your room the electricity goes off (not the fridge thou!!) get yourself a small, cheap fridge magnet break it and put the small magnet in the socket before you leave the room and you can have the air-con/electricity working all day! (be warned do it after the cleaner has been in or you'll lose it!!).
Hotel is very clean and tidy. Food is good but does gets a bit boring after 7-10days. you can eat as heathly or as unhealthy as you want!!

Just returned from 2 fab weeks at the Louis Zante Beach, Everything was spotless, service brilliant, food wonderful, location spot on - beachfont and far enough from Lively Laganas so you don't get any noise or rowdyness, Beach is spotless, if I had to find a down side it would be bunk beds very small, my neices who are 13 and 10 found them too small and ended up putting their matresses on the floor ! My two are 2 and 7 and were fine. Also only had 6 hangers per room - so take some spares, also pack mossi repellant, Hotel shop is also dear and doesn't display prices , but there is a supermarket 2 mins away,
Had a wonderful time and would recommend, if you've booked this - lucky you - have a great time - we did!

My Husband And I have just returned from The Louise Zante Beach Hotel In Laganas where we had a Weeks Break. It was a Fabulous Hotel, The Food is the best we have ever had in any hotel, and the Selection was Fantastic. We ate better than at home.lol.
It was a very clean Hotel and everything was wonderful. We went A.I. and there were hardly any restrictions on what you could drink, un like other Hotels, and no Time limit.
The Bar stayed open until 12 midnight. But if you still wanted more the Town was only 6 Euros away by Taxi for the night Life.
The only Downside of this Hotel was the Entertainment, when we first arrived on Fri 16th May there was none until Sat / Sun and then it was very poor indeed.
The Gardens are beautiful to walk around, but keep to the Paths as the grass was hard to walk on unlike ours that is soft.
The People and Staff are very friendly.
I Would definetly Return again.

Me and my boyfriend came here late last year and would definatly go again!
We went in early October and had one day of heavy rain but was still warm. The apartment we stayed in was comfortable with double bed, bathroom and balcony, cleaned everyday and close to the reception area. In saying that i would say that most of the apartments are in close vinicity of the main entertainment areas. There are 24/7 staff on reception which is useful. There is a small (overpriced) shop, outdoor pool, which is cold as mentioned by another reviewer, but as the resort is on the beach you can go in the sea instead without the hassle of a long trek!
The breakfast is gorgeous as they made fresh huge pancakes with lots of choices of toppings, cereal, full english breakfasts etc so there's no chance you can get bored of the food! Although to be honest we weren't up to see breakfast too many times!
For lunch there's bread and fillings, salads, pasta, soup etc and kids food and for dinner again kids have a choice of foods like chicken nuggets, fish fingers, spaghetti etc but they can have the main foods which include potatoes, pastas and sauces, etc and one night a week they have the normal menu on with traditional Greek food as an option is your brave enough! the drinks such as beer and wine, fruit juices and fizzy drinks are self serve in the restaurant as well.
One negative point is the beach is sectioned as to where you can sunbathe, due to the fact turtles go to this beach to ley their eggs and the 'beach patrol' are very strict! Don't get me wrong there is plenty of room to sunbathe!
Evening entertainment was good for kids (i think?!) but a bit repetitive although i don't have kids so don't quote me! There's no limit on the drinks available for all inclusive which was good to know! And an extensive cocktail menu!
To get to the bars we walked straight down the beach into the centre which took about 5/10 mins and about 10 bars were still open considering it was out of season. There's also a McDonalds and KFC in the centre and a Haagan Daaz shop! There is loads to do for everyone like gokarting and a water park nearby. There's a bus which can take you there twice a day.
I really would recommend this hotel, as we were looking for somewhere we'd actually enjoy to stay in, the facilities where great and it was close enough to the centre. I'm looking to go again this year but i'd probably to late august/start sept as im looking for more clubs bars to be open, although the bar opposite cocktails and dreams was highly entertaining as the guys gave us free shots and could breathe fire!
I think we left just before the weather took a turn for the worst as it was so hot for october!
I'd be glad to answer any questions about this place coz i know it was a nightmare trying to find out when to go/where to go/distances etc
xx

Wonderful! Accommodation in block with sea view - no high rise hotels here - from the beach you could hardly see the hotel - and what a beach! - every morning after breakfast we walked either side of the hotel - there and back in approximately 2 hours - 3 areas of sand - soft white sand - compacted sand (great for walking on) & moist sand with gently lapping waves - TOTAL BLISS!!!!!
Then take a break in the undercover open-air beach bar - gently sipping a cool drink or a coffee.
The hotel was absolutely fantastic - not too busy as it was the 1st week of the summer season - food was great - and a list of cocktails as long as your arm - we couldn't manage to try every one - even though we tried.
Lovely & quiet at night - the only thing that woke us up was an earthquake - quite exciting really.
Overall a wonderful relaxing break - we'll certainly be returning some day.

Well what can I say?!! I booked this for my family after seeing good reviews. I can only assume that things have gone rapidly down bank at this hotel.
We arrived to a terrible storm (no fault of the hotels of course) but this set the scene. Kids entertainment was kept indoors for whole week, entertainers were barely english speaking and poor. We were effectively stuck in the hotel for first two days and no entertainment, bizarrely not even background music.
Within 12 hours of arrival both kids woke and were vomiting. I also had sickness for 2 days. Witnessed one guy not making from dining room to toilet and being sick in lobby area. In fact we learnt that many had been ill during the week with one lady needing a doctor’s visit.
We never used pool since for 2-3 days it needed cleaning, was very cold and worst still was plagued by wasps (many kids stung each day). Poolside bar was shut for most of week.
Kids club was for some unknown reason shut for most of days.
Kids made best of holiday as nearby beach was OK and we were determined to make the best of it for them (hence car hire and moved away from Laganas area). We ended up leaving hotel mid evening and found a friendly local english bar (Shooters) where we had some much needed laughs! We noticed every time we returned to hotel strong smells of sewage and rotting waste.
Food was OK but strong sewage/waste smells and previous illness meant we were never relaxed about enjoying it.
Finally, seems Tour Operators not being very responsible by shipping people out for the school half term week when resorts 80% closed up! Crazy!
All in all I would definitely not recommend this hotel and will probably not return to Zante!

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks staying at the Hotel Louis Zante Park in Laganas.
Well what can I say other than it was fantastic!! On arrival at the Hotel we were greeted by the reception team, who took all the details they needed and fitted us with our all inclusive wrist bands. This whole process took 5 minutes and we were off to find our room.
Our room was on the 1st floor of the main building and very easy to find. On entering the room, we were surprised to find that it was actually quite large and suited the 4 of us very well, with a very large king-size bed and a set of bunk beds for the children.
The cupboard and wardrobe space was very spacious and the Fridge was well used with our drinks etc. The only fault was that the TV only had one English channel which was BBC world news and we would have maybe liked to have had a children’s channel, to keep the children entertained at times when it was just too hot to go outside.(having said that we were hardly ever in the room during the day so it really didn't matter too much).
The porter bought up our cases within 10 minutes of us getting to our room, which was wonderful as we didn't have to worry about dragging them upstairs. He also collects them again at the end of your stay.
1) Meals - all self service and fantastic, with so much choice. Breakfast was amazing, Hot cooked breakfast, Croissants, Breads of all kinds, Omelettes made to your choice and order, Pancakes again cooked in front of you (our daughter loved the Chocolate ones!) jams, yoghurts, fresh and dried fruits, cold meats and cheeses, all topped off with fresh fruit juices, selection of teas and coffee, hot chocolate or even Champagne on Ice.
Lunch and Dinner also had vast choices of food with a children’s self service hot plate as well, including chips, burgers, sausages, chicken nuggets, pizza and spag bol. The restaurant was never busy as it was so large, so you always found somewhere to sit and could stay as long as you liked. We liked the wine and beer on tap to help yourself too.
2) Entertainment - the entertainment team tried so hard and the children loved the Mini Disco, however we didn't really stay around the hotel during the evenings for very long. We tended to walk along the beach and stop of in a few bars on the way. From listening to the other people at the hotel that did stay, I think the entertainment was a little lacking and repetitive, but they tried so hard.
3)Pool - The pool was a little crowded during the day with the usual people getting up at the crack of dawn to put their towels on the sunbeds. But the pools were cleaned every day. However why use the crowded pool when you have the beautiful un crowded beach right next to the Hotel. We hired two sunbeds every day in the same spot and it cost us 7euros a day.
The beach was great, beautifully clean, and clear with fish swimming around your toes, it was so warm and very shallow for a long way out, which was wonderful for small children.
We hired a pedelo for 15euros and saw the turtles and also went out on the boat trip to see them as well. The snack bar restaurant was open from 10am till 6pm and was a wonderful retreat from the hot sun and saved us from going indoors to change for lunch during the day.
All in all this hotel was brill, it was slightly old looking in places, but extremely clean, with an army of cleaners and staff looking after it. there were plenty of places to escape and the grounds are so huge and very well spaced out. The children loved the pirate ship and made a few nice friends there in the evenings.
4) Dogs and wasps - We did see the odd dog wondering around, but never saw them in pairs and certainly not in packs as other reviews had lead us to believe and as for the wasps, you only ever found them in the places you would expect to see them here in England, around the bar areas where there were sweet drinks.
We will definitely be back again soon as we loved it. well done to all the staff and our first choice Rep Kirsty who made our holiday so enjoyable.

Got a very good deal on a week's stay at the beginning of May, so was a bit unsure why it was so cheep!!!!
This was the first time I have gone All Inclusive, and it was perfect. The food was always great and such a wide range to choose from, there was a small snack bar by the beach, which also served hot food when the main one didn't, so there was always good food on tap!!
The one thing I was not looking forward to was the beer, because it was "free" I thought it would be quite nasty after a while, but it was fine and even my girlfriend was drinking it a lot, and she doesn’t drink beer much! You also had a choice of other drinks which were all fine.
The location was great, right on the beach and about a 10min walk down the beach to the centre of Laganas. You can book a taxi if you’re feeling lazy, only costs a few euros.
The rooms were fine, everything you needed and cleaners every day to change towels and sheets.
The entertainment was pure cheese, but quite funny at their expense! And lots of things going on in the day and evening.
All in all, highly recommended and would insist on staying there again if I went to Zante.
I loved this all inclusive...

I loved this all inclusive holiday resort. Although it is in the noisier result of Laganas, it is located right at the edge of town.
So it gives you the best of both worlds- peace and quiet during the day and the noisy nightlife at night time if you preferred. It is in an ideal location for a perfect beach holiday.
We stayed on the all inclusive basis which we could not fault, a varied menu was offered the whole week, and I can only say that if people cannot find something to their taste, they must be incredibly faddy.
Prior to arriving at the hotel I had rung to request rooms overlooking the pool and beach, and all my requests were fully met.
All in all an excellent holiday, rooms were clean, staff friendly, none of our party were ill, weather was wonderful, will definitely visit again.
The entertainment was second to none and you can see that the animation staff work very hard all day from morning to night. There is a children's club for 5 upwards and it is free of charge - so it gives the parents a bit of a rest during the day.
Over all - an excellent holiday.
What an incredible place!...

What an incredible place! Absolutely wonderful holiday - simply wish we'd booked 2 weeks instead of one!
The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and hospitable, rooms big enough for the time you spend in them - only 1 English Channel on TV though!
The food was amazing - the only downside was that at times it was just a bit too fancy, breakfast 7-10, lunch 12-3 and dinner 6.30-9/30 - so no worries about long queues, not having a table etc - the choice was incredible and as its self service you can quite literally have any damn thing you want as many times as you want!
The evening entertainment was great - definitely for the kids - as for adults it’s a laugh - especially when drinking your way through the endless list of all inclusive cocktails!
The best thing about the hotel as its location - quite literally 100m from the hotel you’re on a picture perfect beach - golden sands, turquoise sea, calm warm water - breathtaking, a 2 min walk was the main strip of laganas if one was up for a heavy night, but far enough away so when at the hotel one could only hear the birds and the waves.
Zakinthos itself is a beautiful island with plenty to do, we opted for a coach tour of the island visiting spectacular cliff top panoramic views, wine tasting, visit to church and a monastery, trip in a boat to see the blue caves ... it goes on!
And we also took a day long boat trip the entire way around the island, stopping off at the infamous smugglers cove - an experience you'll never forget - truly a place one only dreams about.
Anyway, for anybody (we're a 26 yr old couple) wanting a holiday with absolutely everything this is the place - we’re definitely going back!

We have already stayed here before so we knew what to expect. The hotel is very friendly and the staff are helpful and polite.
The rooms are clean and the bedding and towels are changed as often as you wish, usually every couple of days, unless you want them changed daily. There is air conditioning and you can hire beach/pool towels from the reception if you require them.
There is entertainment during the day for the kids and adults alike and during the evening there is a kids club, bingo! and a show or cabaret.
There is a good choice of food here, usually 4-5 meat dishes, kid’s meals of pasta, burgers, chicken nuggets, and chips and a good choice of salads. The choice of deserts is fantastic, at least 4-5 different gateaux’s, cheese and biscuits, fruit and pastries.
The breakfasts were a choice of continental, full English, cold meats, cereals, several different types of bread and pancakes or if you felt like it, you could try a bit of it all.
There is lunch served here as well with hot and cold choices of at least 4 different dishes, choices of deserts and wine, soft drinks and beer on tap. There is also sandwiches, cake, and ice cream available throughout the day, so you definitely don't go hungry.
Some people were moaning while we were here, but to be honest, I think they would only be happy if they got served McDonalds or KFC! The food was a mixture of English, Greek and continental dishes. On Tuesday they have a Greek day, where all the food and entertainment is based on Greek traditions. It was great!
The hotel is right on the beach, and the pool area is located right in front of this. Laganas Main street is a nice walk along the beach (about 10 minutes if you have a stroll) and don't believe all you read about in the papers, in October the main area is a nice place to have a wander, buy your souvenirs and meet some locals.
A word of warning though, the hotel shop is extremely expensive selling bottles of water for 1euro and lilos for 12 Euros. If you have walk into laganas or even down the beach to the first road on the right, the bottles of water were 6 x litre bottles for 1.60 euro and lilos were 4 Euros! A big difference.
We all had a wonderful time here and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Obviously this is Greece, so there are a few cats and dogs wandering around, flies, wasps and the odd tremor, but the weather was brilliant, the staff very helpful, friendly and the flights were brilliant.

We arrived at the hotel a little apprehensive as we had ‘dropped off' quite a few younger holidaymakers as ourselves and as we had children we were dreading where we were going! On arrival at reception we were pleasantly surprised, very friendly staff and the porter immediately took our cases off us and took them to our rooms. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable.
I won't go on so I will cut to the chase, we did have a few problems with one of our rooms however, we did have a maintenance man attend rather rapidly to sort out our problems, which was acceptable.
The food was lovely, no complaints there whatsoever; plenty of choice every day and very edible.
As for the dogs that I keep reading about, yes there was about 3 dogs that wandered round the grounds but they were very friendly, didn't bother you and no problems at all.
The hotel staff and the entertainment staff were wonderful, we made friends with one of the entertainment staff and she is still in touch with us on a regular basis. I must admit the comments posted by another holiday maker makes me feel we did not holiday at the same resort!
We would recommend this hotel, and hope that people decide to try it out for themselves and come to their own decision as to the comfort and quality of the accommodation, food, and entertainment that they offer.

This hotel is classed as 4* we would be hard pressed to give it 2*, on arrival we found the room walls were falling apart the ceilings in the reception area’s were falling down the beds were filthy and as for the food it was disgusting I would not have fed the dogs that roam the area all day, with it.
We were very sick the first 3 days of our holiday from the so called free alcohol and food they provided that we had to resort to eating out for the remainder of our two week holiday, which I might add was not cheap.
The entertainment was very poor also, even the team that were trying to provide it says they will not be returning to the hotel due to the same reasons I have mentioned. Therefore if you are thinking of going to this hotel.
(Don’t do it you will be very sorry).
