Louis Zante Beach Hotel

We went in the last week of the season which had its good and bad points. The whole place looked a little run down and could done with a lick of paint, however on the other hand, there was plenty of room as more and more people left.
Our room was clean and spacious although the water in the bath was a little off colour and did not improve with running the taps as suggested by the management. The hotel is well sited next to a beautiful beach and by way of a change you could stroll into the adjacent village.
The evening entertainment was tailored mainly for children and the staff could not be faulted. The food is an important part of any holiday and we certainly were not disappointed with the all inclusive at this hotel.
We hired a jeep for two days but one would have been enough for such a small island.
The hotel was excellent value but the flight by the Swiss operator Monarch was poor and very cramped.

We had stayed at the Louis Grand in Glyfada the previous year and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay at the Zante Beach. Absolutely fabulous holiday.
We stayed in one of the accommodation blocks which are remote from the main hotel building. There outside appearance is a bit bleak but inside the rooms are superb. Clean and tidy (all rooms were refurbished in 2002). Maid service was the best we have ever encountered, not the normal quick flip around with a broom. Bed linen changed every other day. Food was excellent with many choices.
Pool area was great, despite the obligatory "bad tempered Germans" There were 180 Dutch guests staying there so we had some allies. Animation team did really well considering there limited resources. Can thoroughly recommend the water polo match in the pool every day at 15.00 hrs great fun. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

This is a fantastic holiday place - great for families. The Greeks really love looking after the English especially the children. This hotel really looked after everyone’s tastes - except for the entertainment- which was quite X-rated at times- and wasn’t ideal for the children. It was very funny though - but not suitable for kids.
The other problem is that if it rains - then there isn’t much to do as all of the entertainment is done outside and most activities are outside. Although there is a free mini club which isn’t promoted and that at least takes some of the strain away
The food is great and caters for everyone’s tastes and of course if you are all inclusive - all of your drinks and snacks are free too

The hotel was first class, the food was plentiful and great for all types of eaters. The children’s club was free of charge, twice a day - so great for parents. They only down side is that it was only for children of 4 years plus - so if you had a child younger than that then you had no care.
There was plenty of entertainment every day. It was a great laugh to watch everyday. The evening entertainment was good every other day, then it went down hill after that.
The location of the hotel was great - it was in a party town of Zante -but being on the edge of town, meant you were in a quiet location, but was close enough to walk in if you fancied a night out. There was loads to do in Zante, best of all seeing the turtles and visiting the blue caves.
The only negative thing about Zante, is the airport. Be prepared to wait outside in temps of 36 c for up to 2 hours.
