fantastic hotel
from susipod
We have just returned from the hotel principe palace in lido de jesolo and feel we have to say what a lovely hotel it is. The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful. When we arrived the check in was very quick we were too late for the evening meal but they had left us a sandwich in the bedroom along with a bottle of wine (I think you get a bottle of wine in your room anyway). At breakfast the morning after the maitre de welcomed us to the dining room and explained how the meals would be served, breakfast was buffet style eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheeses, cerial, toast jams yoghurt and fruit the usual buffet breakfast that you would get in a european hotel. The evening meal started with a buffet there was everything on the buffet nobody needs to go hungry in this hotel. The next courses are waiter service starter ie pasta, soup or rice dishes. Then the main course Meat or fish then the sweet selection which you help yourself. I am the most awkward person to please regarding food especially on holiday and I was amazed that I never left the dining room hungry. The maitre de came around at every meal asking if everything was ok. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly in the dining room, reception area, in the bar and the cleaning ladies we cannot complain about anything at all regarding the hotel. When we left the hotel to go home some members of staff came to the coach and waved us off it was a lovely gesture The only downfall of the holiday was the weather but the hotel cannot be held responsible for that
Superb Tourist Hotel

Hotel Principe Palace is an excellent place to stay if you need a stress free break. On arrival, the hotel will arrange a taxi transfer from the airport, which was excellent as our flight did not arrive until 9.30 p.m.! We had a lovely relaxing week. The hotel is very professionally run and all the staff are very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble; the hotel is spotlessly clean and the food in the restaurant is excellent. There is such a wide choice it would be difficult to go hungry and if you ask for something that is not on the menu, every effort will be made to provide it. Our room was of a good standard, with a balcony to sit out and watch the world go by in the lovely square below. The en suite had a shower, bidet, toilet and basin and the water always ran at a good temperature. I was never showered in freezing water in the morning! Fresh towels were provided each day, the bed was made and the room was cleaned daily. There was a small fridge. There is a roof top pool and bar, with views to the sea and over the town. The location is very good. It is only a short walk to the beautifully clean beach, where the hotel has its own section with sunbeds, umbrellas and deckchairs. There is a bus that goes to Punta Sabbione, where you can catch the ferry to Venice - a lovely day out, 19.60 Euros for a ticket that covers the return bus and ferry and all waterbuses in Venice. All in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Principe Palace and would definitely return as it is not often you come across such an excellent hotel.
Perfetto!!

My family and I have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Principe Palace Hotel. It is the first holiday that we have booked directly with the hotel, plus arranging our own flights; and as we were travelling with 2 young children we were a little apprehensive. We needn't have worried, no sooner had we reached the arrivals area at Venice, we were greeted by a lovely taxi driver who drove us straight to the hotel - and what a hotel!!! Our stay was fantastic, and this was largely down to this hotel. The location is superb, and whilst situated in one of the main squares in Lido de Jesolo, our room was quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Food always plays a large part of our holidays and we weren't disappointed, it was delicious and there was a huge variety - the hotel even caters for childrens' cautious tastes. We only used the pool a couple of times - mainly because the children liked to play on the beach, but that too was great. The hotel also has a private stretch of the beach, complete with deck chairs and loungers, no more than a 5 minute walk away. One of the greatest strengths of this hotel is the excellent, friendly service they provide; from the girls on the reception, the chambermaids and of course the restaurant staff (with special mention to the lovely Theresa). The combination of the hotel, the surrounding areas and the beach made for a wonderful holiday - I would truly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely holiday

My wife and I stayed here in May 2007...and had a great time. It was one of our first holidays without the children, who are now grown up. I always worry about the cleanliness of a hotel, as my wife will not stay if she is not happy. There were no worries with the Principe hotel. It was spotless. The room was excellent, overlooking the square. The beach is beautiful, and only about 150 metres away. The hotel has a reserved section of the beach with the loungers already in place with the sun umbrellas. Or else you can use the pool on the hotel roof. The food in the hotel was very good, following the italian way of vegetables or salad for starter, a pasta first course, with meat or fish or omelette for the second course. Our waitress, Donatella, was a lovely friendly lady. The hotel manager, Alex, seems to be so laid back but friendly, and his english is excellent. We ate for lunch at the Black Cat cafe around the corner from the hotel. The food was simple but good. We took the bus from a nearby square to either the bus station or to the port. From the port you can get to Venice, Burano, Murano, and the price is cheap. From the station you can go to Jesolo, which had a market on the Friday which is worth looking at. We do not normally go back to the same place twice but we will here. Such excellence is hard to find.
Very Good Hotel

The Hotel Principe Palace Is located centrally in the resort of Lido Di Jeselo on the Piazza Mazzini. We found the cleanliness of this hotel to be first class both in the rooms and the public areas. The rooms are of an average size without a bath but with a walk in shower unit with unlimited hot water at all times and good qaulity towels changed every day. The Restaruant serves good quality food that is presented very well and is complemented by an excellent wine list. If you are travelling with children it may be a little difficult as the meals tended to be aimed at adults (but that is obviously just our opinion) The staff were attentive at all times and most helpful with regard to travelling into Venice. The Hotel has a roof top pool and a dedicted childrens pool (0.5 mtr deep). This hotel is available via TUI as a package, however it is a lot cheaper to book direct via the hotel web site and sort your own flights. We used the BMI service from Heathrow, Easy is another option. The hotel also arrange the taxi transfer upon request . In short this hotel is first class and we would visit again and would recommend it to other members.
A little jem of a hotel.

Having been here three years ago booked via Thomson Holidays we decided this year to book directly with the hotel. It was really simple via e-mail and the hotel even arranged taxis to and from the airport. It was also significantly cheaper doing it this way. This hotel is superb and in a wonderful position. The food was good with plenty of choice and you never left the restaurant feeling hungry. Our waitress, Marina, was very entertaining and efficent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. New double glazed patio doors have been installed and have solved any noise problems. We went to Venice and found it really easy buying a ticket from the local tobaccinist, catching a bus from the back of the hotel to where you take the boat across to Venice. We would definately recommend this hotel.
the greatest

The hotel staff was friendly and cooperative. The room was clean and the service was excellant. The buffet breakfast was pleasantly presented with multiple choices. The bar staff was friendly and the patio overlooking the canal was great. Close to the train staion and shopping and the boat taxis. The hotel staff was willing to line up tours. The stay was very enjoyable
Super holiday at the Principe Palace
from keentotravel
Returned today from a two week holiday at the Principe Palace - booked through the company Archer Direct. Hotel has an excellent position on the Piazza Mazzini - lively and central. The hotel has a roof top pool but it was not heated and the water in the pool could be cold (according to my 12 year old daughter). The hotel provides free deck chairs on the lovely beach which is only a couple of minutes walk. Room 331 at the rear of the hotel and overlooking a side street was quite small for a triple room and a bit noisy with alot of comings and goings on the street until the early morning. The plumbing from the toilet was noisy. The maid service was excellent. The service in the restaurant was very friendly. We were allocated the same table for throughout the stay and Marina our waitress was very entertaining and looked after us very well. We found her to be quite motherly. The food was varied, plentiful and of good quality. The hotel had a family atmosphere and we felt welcomed by all the staff - many who speak quite good English. The guests were predominantly English during the time that we stayed there though there were some Italian and American families. There was entertainment once a week up on the roof top around the pool but it was quite low key. The hotel offers free bike hire subject to availablility. All the shops were open until around 11 pm in the evening and the streets were busy with the locals and tourists promenading until late. The tobaccanist close to the hotel sells a travel ticket for 16.60 euros which gives unlimited travel (bus and boat) for one day. This can get you to Venice and to the islands of Merano, Burano and Torcello which is easy to do. We met quite a few people at the hotel who were repeat visitors. Hotels such as the Excelsior and the Soleil have the advantage of being beach side whereas the Principe does involve a very short walk to the beach. This suited us fine but it might be more fun/convenient for families with small children to choose a hotel which is beach side. In essence it is a traditional family run hotel - not glitzy or big on facilities but certainly superbly positioned and very friendly. The weather was hot during the day but we experienced two nights of amazing rain and thunderstorms/lightning. I suggest that guests pack an umbrella. All in all an excellent holiday!!
Great Place

I stayed here with my family in June 2006. This villa is ideal for a family looking for self catering accomodation, something which isn't that widely available in Italy. It contains 4 seperate one bedroomed apartments with air conditioning. It's affilated to the near by Hotel Principe Palace whose facilities are available to tenants.Villa is in a quiet suburban area with a supermarket near by.It does what it says on the tin,5 minute stroll to the main street of the resort. You do have to cross a sometimes busy road mainly at rush hours.Pedestrian crossings are ornamental in Italy so stay alert. The apartment in the villa has all mod cons and was very comfortable. One draw back is that you can't have more than 2 major appliances on at any one time.We were running the dishwasher and washing machine and some idiot (me) switched on the airconditioning and the lights went out.In fairness you are warned about this in the notes left by the management.Don't let this put you off. It's very modern and spotlessly clean and is very well maintained. For people on package holidays be aware that on checking out ,your cases are picked up by hotel staff on the morning of your departure from the viila and stored in the hotel lobby. The coach picks you up from there. Great location for visiting Venice. The resort is excellent and beach spotless. We would certainly stay there again.
Principe Palace, Lido de Jesolo.beautifully furnished hotel, so clean. very friendly staff. Top chef meals outstanding. Use of free bicycles added bonus. Excellent location. Beach less than 5mins away. free sunbeds another bonus. Would love to re-visit.
