good stay in monaco
from sarahDundalk
myself and my husband have just returned from this hotel. On the good side the hotel itself is on a great location right on the beach front. The buffet itself is fabulous ,breakfast and evening meal.If you like food this is the place to come.We have stayed in other hotels in italy half board before but found the food disappointing, but here it was great. On the bad side the bedroom needed (as did the hotel )modernising. We had been to jesolo 3 years ago this time around we noticed that there was alot of building work and modernising of bars ,resterants, and all the piattzas going on.This hotel needs money spend on it! Overall the hotel is spotless, very well run, professional staff, great location. If you want a relaxing holiday on the beach with venic e on your doorstep and fabulous shopping this is the place to come. arriverdici
Great Holiday
from stuhartsdungeon
we booked this hotel with thomson well in advance as we wanted to plan this holiday perfectly and wed heard that the hotel is very popular with repeat guests and can become full at short notice. flight was good and on time and arrival at marco polo was speedy and the thomson airport team seemed to know what they were doing and we left the airport on the coach after just 10 minutes from collecting our suitcases, very good. arrival at the hotel was excellent, we could leave our cases in reception and get something to eat right away, tons of choice and im a big stickler for a clean dining room and this was spotless and the waiting on staff were on the ball and were always smiling, i find this is a rarety in most other european hotels these days! next morning went to the thomson welcome get together, was nice and quick only lasted about 20 minutes and got the info we needed on the resort as this was our first time in italy. we booked the trip to venice which is good value at 72 euros considering its a private coach, ferry, 30 minute gondola ride and a one hour city tour, the rep advised that we go with thomson the first time we go so we could get our bearings and all of the information from the city tour before maybe going back another day on the bus (which incidentally was horribly crammed we went on our last day) we also booked verona+garda because we wanted to see the ampitheatre and sirmione in garda which had been noted in the lonely planet guide both were stunning. the only other trip we booked was florence, what more can i say about florence you HAVE to see this place theres hundreds of small art and historic sights to see, the buildings have a beautiful renaisannce style and st maria del fiore cathedral was stunning (pay the 6 euros to go to the top of the tower its alot of steps but you get a stunning view over the city) rooms were small but you expect this in italy and always cleaned spotlessly, hotel staff are lovely and very accomodating.
GREAT HOTEL good access to Venice
from Pad052
We have stayed here a number of times over the past 10 years, thistimein May without the kids. Lovely hotel spacious common areas , lovely food an excellent combination of beach with access to Venice (via public transport ) within the hour. Only downfall expensive taxi to airport !
Awesome Hotel!

This hotel was outstanding. Right when we got there they ushered us into their lobby with courtesy and spoke perfect English. You can't really go wrong being right on the beach and for the price of $170 a night it was an absolute steal. The free dinner and breakfast was great, with a multitude of options and great service. There was crablegs, pork, pasta, and steak cooked to order. The breakfast had a variety of eggs, bacon, ham, fruit and bread. Venice was a hassle to get to because you have to take a bus 20 minutes to the ship harbor and ride a boat for 45 minutes, so it takes some time, but other than that this place had it all. The rooms were clean and the beds were suprisingly comfortable. No complaints here and I would recommend this place anytime. Also, the town it is in Lido Desolo, was a blast. Plenty of nightlife and wonderful shops and restaurants. Most people speak English and there is a great bar there called Gasoline that is American. Don't visit Venice without stopping by this hidden gem of a party town on the beach.
Good location to explore Venice or relax in the beach
from Filkitz
I would say this hotel is more like a 3* than a 4* so don't expect too much. We were here mid Sept which was almost at the end of season so it wasn't as busy. The Hotel: The room was a good size and our double room was just two twins pushed together. I requested a sea view room but got a "LIMITED SEA VIEW ROOM" when they say limited it was limited! To be honest the beach was literally at your doorstep so i didnt mind too much and if you wanted to look at the sea then a little tip is to got to the top floor of the hotel and open the double windows which overlooks the beach! (very nice but the occupants on the top floor rooms might get annoyed as you'll be really close to their doors!) The rooms have air conditioning but OMG it rained for one whole day and their policy was to turn it off!!!!!!! I complained, but they said"oh sorry it's out of our hands as our head office said that its getting cold so we have to turn the aircon off!!!" WHAT STUPID RULE WAS THAT! yes its was raining and that day was probably between 15C-17C (dont know farenheit soz) but all other days was about 24C-27C. Luckily it was mid sept and right near the beach so late at night there was a little breeze but if you open your windows/doors BE CAREFUL OF THE MOZZIES! my gf & I both got bitten! The Staff: Mixed bag here, some were lovely some were miserable. They can all speak english (some better than others!) Special mention to Daniella evening dinner waitress she is efficent but can look quite stern but actually shes lovely! Food: The food was ok but repetitive, the desserts were GREAT! haha towards the end of our holiday the desserts were sooo popular as soon as they came out all the men were up there grabbing a plate or two! (not for themselves but for their partners haha!) Activities/Beach: Beach was great! had our private beach but to be honest i think you can sit anywhere you want. deck chairs and umbrellas are free but if you want to sit in the pool you have to pay!(why would you want to sit there when the beach is about a metre away??) The hotel was poor in terms of activites it offered, great to get away from holiday rep style games but this hotel just didn't offer anything in terms of emtertainment except for a few books. Location: Location was great as it was close to venice, it is also a great base to explore Italy. If you're not interested in sightseeing the beach is great to unwind and enjoy the famous ice creams!! There are lots of shops/resturants but some of the shops are reptitive. Nightlife: Sorry but there are no clubs here, but there are bands around and there was one lovely cocktail bar with a great band so look out for one! Overall: Overall I must admit I had a lovely time and didnt want to go back after one week but i think two weeks would have been too long for me, besides i ran out of money! lol. Italy can get quite expensive so look out for a supermarket and stock up as it can save you a mini fortune, also have plenty of change for the loo because if you want to explore Venice it would cost you 1euro to use them! What i loved about my holiday was that it was totally relaxing for me, i had a few days on the beach and the rest sightseeing which was great as i had the best of both worlds! I heard that this hotel wasnt as good as it used to be since it was taken over but it was definitely better than some of the others around.
Lovely Hotel - Right by the beach
from Fox96
We stayed at the Monaco Quisiana Hotel in Jesolo for one week in July. The rooms were a good size, very clean and all had a small balcony. All rooms have air conditioning. The food was first rate, with loads of choice for the British, Italian and German visitors staying at the hotel. The hotel is right by the beach and has it's own private section of beach with free deck chairs and umbrellas.
Best holiday ever

Fantastic hotel, brilliant holiday

I have just returned from a week staying at the Monaco Quisisana with my husband and a friend and I have to say I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We booked through Thomsons and I would definitely recommend paying the small supplement for a sea view room. We had a lovely room with a very large balcony and a big window looking out over the beach. Our friend had a single room which was smaller with no balcony, however still perfectly acceptable. The air conditioning in the rooms was a life saver as it was so hot, even at night. Sunbeds by the pool have to be paid for, however it is only 2.5 euro per day and you get a beach towel. Get down to reception early to get your towel and get a good position. We found the food excellent - a huge choice for both breakfast (eaten outside on the terrace, which is lovely) and dinner. Lots of pasta, seafood as well as three different choices of roast meat each night. Staff are very friendly and helpful and all speak English, however I would recomend learning a few basic phrases in Italian as this will be appreciated. I also recommend hiring bikes from the hotel, which are free. The resort is completely flat and has cycle lanes so this is a very safe and easy way to get around. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future as we felt it to be the best in the resort. We had been to Venice on an organised excursion previously, however this time we bought tickets from the tobaccanist for 14 euro and went on the bus/boat by ourselves. We had no problems at all in doing this. Do be aware though that there is no real nightlife in the resort and no entertainment in the hotel. However, if you want a quiet relaxing holiday in a great beach location with opportunities to see the wonderful sights of Venice, Verona, Lake Garda and many more places then this is the holiday for you.
Good Hotel, good location
from PamDNorthamptom
We have just returned from a week "cheap deal" to this hotel and found it to be very well run. Food very good with plenty of choice. Very clean. Marvellous location on the beach with the main street only a short walk away. We were with Thomson's so the room was side sea view but not too bad, large balcony. Don't bother with the overpriced Thomson trip to Venice as you can do this individually by catching the bus and the water bus from Punta Sabbioni.(14 Euros)Although we were a couple this would be an ideal hotel for families with children. Give it a try !
Not too bad!

Whilst I have no major complaints about the hotel, our initial reaction was that of disappointment - it is pretty standard in most respects from the amenities to quality of room, standard of decor etc. More accurately sold as a 3 star not 4. Having walked along the beach promenade, however, I would say that this hotel was amongst the best of it's kind in the local area (but only from an exterior/pool perspective!) Starting with the negatives - staff and management are pretty rude, but this can be overlooked if you can learn to ignore it! Requested a room move - first rooms balcony was sitting facing the concrete wall of the hotel next door - next room was however much better with sea views. Evening entertainment within the hotel is virtually non existent. On the plus side, we stayed on a half board basis and the meals esp. evening, were pretty impressive offering a very wide selection of salads, meats, seafood, dessers etc etc. Breakfast too was reasonably nice with a wide selection from the usual cereals/bacon/croissants esp nice to sit outside which you are able to do at this hotel. Hotel is situated right on the beach which for those seeking a beach is ideal. The local water park (approx. 10 mins walk) is also great fun if you have a spare day. I feel it necessary to point out that Lido is a touristy resort reflecting little in the way of traditional italian anything to be honest(!) and with Venice itself a good 40-60 minutes away by boat (recommended) or coach it is a little off the beaten track - a definite no for the culture hungry. Ideal for those with children - the families seemed to enjoy their time and for those seeking a more beach orientated break - we enjoyed our stay but would perhaps opt for the more traditional and convenient Venice Lido a small island 5-10 minutes from Venice.
